Product Information
The Belt Loop Foot (Ref: 200-808-002) is a specialized sewing machine foot designed for creating belt loops, decorative accents, button loops, narrow straps, and more. It is compatible with machines from Elna International Corp. SA.
This foot features an automatic folding mechanism that neatly folds under bias strip edges, allowing you to easily duplicate the belt loops found in the garment industry. It can be used with a Wide or Triple Cover Hem to achieve professional-looking results.
Product Usage Instructions
Machine Setup:
- Attach the Belt Loop Foot to your sewing machine.
- Lower the presser foot.
Sewing:

Prepare a bias tape for your belt loops or other decorative elements.

Pull the bias tape under the foot and extend it behind the
foot. -
Hand turn the flywheel to lower the needles into the
fabric. -
Sew the first two stitches by hand turning the flywheel.

Continue sewing at a medium speed using the sewing machine’s
motor.
Decorative Effect – Variation 1 (Sewing Belt Loops Directly onto Fabric):
- Place a medium to heavy weight fabric underneath the foot.
- Use a stabilizer to prevent puckering of the fabric.
- Sew the belt loops directly onto the fabric following your desired pattern or placement..

BELT LOOP FOOT

You can easily duplicate the belt loops found in the ferment industry using a
Wide or Triple Cover Hem. This foot automatically folds under bias strip edges
for belt loops, decorative accents, button loops, narrow straps, etc.
Machine Setup
- Cover Hem Wide, Triple Cover Hem
- Belt loop foot
- Polyester overlock/serger thread
Sewing
- Cut a strip of bias tape 2.7 cm (1 1/8’’) wide. Cut one end at a 45° angle. Insert cut angle (fabric right side up) into belt loop foot.
- Pull bias tape under foot and extend it behind foot. Attach foot to machine. Lower presser foot. Hand turn flywheel to lower needles into fabric. Sew first two stitches by hand turning flywheel. Continue sewing at a medium speed.
Decorative Effect
- Variation 1: Sew belt loops directly onto fabric. Place a medium to heavy weight fabric underneath foot. Use a stabilizer to prevent puckering.
- Variation 2: Sew belt loop strip. Use a sewing machine with clear monofilament needle thread to attach belt loop strip to fabric.
