BIXOLON Q302B Barcode Printer
Product Information
The product is a thermal printer model SRP-Q300/Q302 manufactured by Bixolon Co., Ltd. It is a compact and versatile printer designed for various applications. The printer comes with different models, including SRP- Q300H/Q302H (B-gate Model) and SRP-Q300B/Q302B (Battery Model). The printer supports multiple interfaces, including USB and Ethernet, for easy connectivity with POS systems or other devices. It also includes a control panel for easy operation and monitoring.

Product Usage Instructions
Cable Connection
- Turn off the printer and POS System (host computer).
- Separate the COVER as shown in the picture.
- Connect the power cord to the adaptor and connect the adaptor to the power connector of the printer.
- Check the type of interface located at the back of the printer (USB, Ethernet) and connect the proper cable.
- Connect each cable to the printer’s rear side drawer kickout connector and LCD connector.
- The USB Port is designed for charging mobile devices only and does not support communication.
- Do not use an adapter that was not supplied with the printer.
Installing Paper Roll
- Open the paper roll cover by pulling the Cover-Open lever.
- Insert a new roll paper in the correct direction.
- Pull the paper out slightly and close the cover.
Note: When closing the cover, hold down the center firmly so that the paper maintains close contact with the roller. It is recommended to use the recommended paper for optimal printing quality.
Paper Jam
If a paper jam occurs, follow these steps:
- Turn off the printer, open the cover, and remove the paper.
- If the COVER does not open, please contact Customer Service for assistance.
Using Control Panel
Battery Indication:
- The control panel displays the battery indication to show the remaining battery level in battery models (SRP-Q300B/Q302B).
Self-Test:
- Check whether the paper is mounted correctly.
- Turn on the power while holding down the Feed button, and the self-test procedure will begin.
- The printer will print out the current status of the printer, including the version of ROM.
- After printing out the current status, the printer will wait for further instructions.
Information
This installation guide contains only simple information required for the installation of the product. Refer to the User’s Manual in the CD that is shipped with the product for detailed instructions for installation. The contents contained in the CD are as follows.
- Manual: User’s Manual, Code Table, Control Commands, Software Manuals
- Driver: Windows Driver, OPOS, JPOS, CUPS(Linux, Mac), VCOM(USB, Ethernet)
- SDK: Windows Printer(POS) SDK, UPOS SDK(iOS, Android), B-gate, SDK(Windows, iOS, Android)
- SRP-Q300H/Q302H supports only B-gate SDK.
- In case of using B-gate please use the B-gate SDK, UPOS SDK is only supports SRP-Q300/Q302.

Components
Cable Connection
- Turn off the printer and POS System(host computer).
- Separate the COVER like to picture.
- Connect the power cord to adaptor, and connect the adapter to the power connector of the printer.
- Check the type interface located at the back of the printer(USB, Ethernet) and connect proper cable.
- Connect each cable to the printer rear side drawer kickout connector and LCD connector.
- The USB Port is designed for charging mobile devices only (communication not supported).
- Do not use an adapter that was not supplied with the printer.
- The communication ports (USB, Ethernet) in the printer set for models SRP-Q300H/302H will be deactivated.
Installing Paper Roll
- Open the paper roll cover by pull the Cover-Open lever.
- Insert new roll paper in the correct direction.
- Pull the paper out slightly and close the cover.
Note
Hold down the center of the cover firmly when closing the cover so that the
paper maintains close contact with the roller.
Printing quality may not be optimum if recommended paper is not used. (Refer
to the User’s Manual.)
Paper Jam
(Refer to 1-9 in User’s Manual)
- Turn the printer off and on, open the cover, and remove the paper.
- If COVER does not open, please contact Customer Service.
Using Control Panel
Error (Indicator Lamp)
- Red light will be on in various error conditions such as out of paper, cover open, etc.
Paper (Indicator Lamp)
- Red light will be on when there is no paper or paper almost runs out. If this light keeps blinking, it means that the printer is in self-test standby state or waiting for macro execution.
Feed (Button)
- Press this button to feed the paper out. Hold down this button to feed out the paper continuously.
Power (Button)
- Power On
- Hold the Power button until the power LED indicator comes on..
- For SRP-Q300H/Q302H products, press the power button and then wait until the error display and paper display lamps stop flickering.
Power Off
- Hold the Power button for 3 seconds. The printer will beep and the Error and Paper indicators will turn on. When you take your finger off the button, the printer will turn off completely.
Battery Indication
Error (Indicator Lamp)
- Red LED is light turns on when charging circuit or battery malfunction.
Power (Indicator Lamp)
- The red LED lights up when charging, the blue LED lights up when fully charged, and the red LED below 20V flashes.
Self-Test
- Check whether paper is mounted correctly.
- Turn on the power while holding down the Feed button and the self-test procedure will begin.
- Printer will print out the current status of printer including the version of ROM.
- After printing out the current status of printer, the printer will print following lines and waits for the next step(paper lamp will keep blinking).
- SELECT MODES BY PRESSING FEED BUTTON.
- Continuous SELF-TEST : Less than 1 second
- VMSM Selection : 1 second or more
- Press the Feed button to resume printing or hold down the button for at least one second to change the VMSM settings.
- 5-1 If “Continuous SELF-TEST” is selected
- 5-1-1 Press the Feed button for less than one second to print the preset page.
- 5-1-2 The self test ends automatically as it prints the following line and cuts the paper.
COMPLETED
- The printer goes into normal print mode upon completion of the self test.
- If “VMSM Selection” is selected
- The following lines will be printed when the VMSM opens.
VMSM Selection
- Exit and reboot printer
- Print current settings
- Set Print Density
- Set Print Speed
- Set Cutting mode
- Set Internal Buzzer control
- Set Buzzer control after cutting
- Set International Character
- Print Maintenance Counter 9 or more : None
- Press the Feed button to run the above function.
- Step 1(Select Options): press the button a number of times as shown by each menu.
- Step 2(Enter Options): hold down the button for at least one second to apply each item selected.
Note
- If you select any items not listed above, the list of “VMSM Selection” will be printed again. Setting the mode will be canceled if no item is selected in Step 1.
- Hold down the Feed button for at least 1 second to save the changes. The following line will be printed before cutting the paper.
Attention
- If “0: Exit and reboot printer” is not executed, the new settings will not be saved.
COMPLETED
- The new settings will be automatically applied when printer resets.
Note
- You can check whether printer works correctly or not through the self-test. Printing quality, ROM version, and DIP switch settings can be checked through the self-test function.
Reconfiguration of Printer
- SRP-Q300/Q302 does not support Dip Switch. To change the settings of the printer, use the virtual memory switch utility or virtual memory switch control function for self-diagnosis.
Technical Support

Battery Safety Precautions
- If the battery is not charged after the charging time, stop charging and contact the seller.
- Store and use the battery where it will not come into contact with liquid (water, salt water, etc.). There may be a risk of overheating, rupturing or igniting.
- Avoid exposing the battery to high temperatures over 50 ℃ and do not store or use it in a place with high temperature and humidity. There may be a risk of overheating, rupturing or igniting. In addition, it may reduce the performance and life of the battery.
- There is a risk of explosion, especially when the battery is placed by a fire or stored near a heating device (e.g., heater, etc.).
- Be sure to only use an adapter or charger approved by us to charge the battery. Use of any other adapter or charger may reduce battery performance and life, or cause a risk of overheating, rupturing or igniting.
- Avoid causing any strong impact to the battery or throwing it. The protective device inside the battery may be damaged, which may reduce the battery performance and life, or there may be a risk of overheating, rupturing or igniting.
- Do not disassemble or modify the battery. The battery contains safety and protection devices to prevent danger. It may reduce battery performance and life due to damage, or there may be a risk of overheating, rupturing or igniting.
Safety Precautions
- In using the present appliance, please keep the following safety regulations in order to prevent any hazard or material damage.
WARNING
- Violating following instructions can cause serious injury or death.
Do not plug several products in one multi-outlet.
- This can provoke over-heating and a fire.
- If the plug is wet or dirty, dry or wipe it before usage.
- If the plug does not fit perfectly with the outlet, do not plug in.
- Be sure to use only standardized multi-outlets.
- You must use only the supplied adapter.
- It is dangerous to use other adapters.
Do not pull the cable to unplug
- This can damage the cable, which is the origin of a fire or a breakdown of the printer.
- Keep the plastic bag out of children’s reach.
- If not, a child may put the bag on his head.
- Do not plug in or unplug with your hands wet.
- You can be electrocuted.
- Do not bend the cable by force or leave it under any heavy object.
- A damaged cable can cause a fire.
CAUTION
- Violating following instructions can cause slight wound or damage the appliance.
- If you observe a strange smoke, odor or noise from the printer, unplug it before taking following measures.
- Switch off the printer and unplug the set from the mains.
- After the disappearance of the smoke, call your dealer to repair it.
- Keep the desiccant out of children’s reach.
- If not, they may eat it.
- Install the printer on the stable surface.
- If the printer falls down, it can be broken and you can hurt yourself.
- Use only approved accessories and do not try to disassemble, repair or remodel it for yourself.
- Call your dealer when you need these services.
- Do not touch the blade of auto cutter.
- Do not let water or other foreign objects in the printer.
- If this happened, switch off and unplug the printer before calling your dealer.
- Do not use the printer when it is out of order. This can cause a fire or an electrocution.

- Do not separate and use the printer and battery charger on models SRP-Q300B / Q302B.( Externally exposed power terminals may cause malfunction.)

- Using the printer at temperatures below 0 ° C may cause the battery to discharge quickly and reduce battery life.
