Product Usage Instructions

To use the TruVuTM Universal Controller, follow the instructions below:

  1. Ensure that the controller is securely mounted either on a DIN rail or using screws.

  2. Connect the power supply to the controller. Use a 24Vac power source with a frequency of 50 – 60Hz and a power rating of 55VA. Alternatively, a 24Vdc power source can be used with a power rating of 20W (or 80VA / 35W if additional Act Net devices are
    connected).

  3. Establish communication with the controller by connecting it to the network. The controller features dual Ethernet ports with built-in fail-safe. You can use direct connection or daisy chain topologies using BACnet/IP. Connect the Ethernet ports to the
    network using appropriate cables.

  4. If communication with third-party devices is required, connect the RS-485 port on the controller to the respective devices. Ensure the communication settings (baud rate) are compatible.

  5. If using ZS sensors, iVu Equipment Touch, or TruVu ET Displays, connect them to the Rnet port on the controller. Make sure to provide external power if required.

  6. For Act Net communicating devices, use the Act Net port on the controller to establish communication.

  7. If you need to perform configuration, wireless service access, firmware updates, or controller recovery, use the USB Service port. Connect a TruVu ET Display to access these features.

  8. Configure the Universal Inputs based on your requirements. The inputs can be electronically configured to different types such as Dry, Pulse Counting, Thermistor, or 0-10 Vdc.

  9. Utilize the Real Time Clock feature to keep track of time in case of a power failure. The clock can retain time for at least 3 days without power.
