Intended use
This product is only intended for household use. Any other use may result in
malfunction and the warranty will be void.
General safety
DANGER!
Risk of serious injury or death!
- Do not dismantle the product to avoid the risk of electric shock, physical injury and/or damage to the product.
- Keep the product away from water and other liquids to prevent the risk of death or serious injury.
- Do not install the product near fire or water.
- Do not insert any objects into the power input except the supplied power cord.
- Do not insert any conductive objects into the connectors or inputs of the product.
- Do not use the product during a thunderstorm, there is a risk of malfunction and electric shock.
DANGER!
Do not attempt to perform any repairs yourself. Tampering with the product and
non-professional repair may cause electric shock, injury or damage to the
product. It also makes the warranty invalid. Instead, contact a service
technician.
There are no user-serviceable parts in the product. Maintenance and repairs
shall only be carried out by qualified personnel. Contact Elvita support if
the product needs reparation or in any of these cases:
- The product has been exposed to rain or moisture.
- The product has been dropped and damaged.
- The product does not function properly or its operation is affected.

Do not expose the product to direct sunlight and keep the product away from
heat sources.

- Before connecting the product to the mains, make sure the connection parameters of the product (fuse rating, voltage and frequency) match the mains power supply. If in any doubt, consult a qualified electrician.
- Do not use the product in humid conditions, in the rain or near water.
- Make sure that the power cable does not come into contact with any sharp objects.
WARNING!
Risk of physical injury!
- Do not submerge the product in water or any other liquids. The product only has an IPX4 water resistance rating on the rear panel.
- Adjust the volume to recommended decibel (dBA) level, exposure to loud noise can cause hearing impairment and hearing loss. The maximum sound pressure level of this product is 97 dBA when measured at a distance of 1 meter.
- Disconnect the power source if the product has been exposed to water or any other liquids.
- Do not place the product near electromagnetic radiation or products such as amplifiers.
- Do not expose the product, not even when it is turned off, to temperatures above 45 °C or below 0 °C. It can damage the internal components of the product. The operating temperature of the product is +5 °C to +35 °C.
- Do not cover the product with any material, insufficient ventilation can cause overheating and/or shorten the life of the product.
- Do not place the product in places where dust accumulates.

- Do not open the housing of the remote control, except to open the battery compartment. The remote control is a Class 1 laser product.
- Incorrect use of the batteries may cause electrolyte leakage or an explosion.
- Chemicals leaking from the batteries can cause corrosion. If there is chemical spillage, remove it from the product with a cloth.
- Do not use different types of batteries with different characteristics.
- Do not use old and new batteries together, there is a risk of electrolyte leakage from the old battery.
- Remove the batteries as soon as they are discharged.
CAUTION!
- Do not turn the product on and off too frequently.
- Turn off the product and disconnect it from the power mains if it is not to be used for a longer period of time.
- Keep the product at a minimum distance of 60 cm to a TV or PC.
- Install the product on a flat, stable surface.
- Avoid dropping or hitting the product.
CAUTION!
- Insert 1.5 V, AAA batteries into the remote control so that they correspond with the polarities, + and –, on the product.
- If the range of the remote control decreases, replace the batteries with new ones.
- Remove the batteries from the remote control if it is not being used for a long period.
NOTE!
The batteries supplied with the product may have a shorter life due to storage
conditions.

- Make sure children do not insert any objects into the product, there is a risk of electrocution.
- Keep all packaging material away from children, there is a risk of suffocation.

- Keep the product out of reach of children.
- Do not let children be exposed to loud noise and be in close proximity of the product. Loud noise can cause hearing impairment and hearing loss.
Disposal
WARNING!
- The battery must only be removed by a qualified electrician.
- The product may only be opened in order to dispose of the battery.
This product includes a built-in lead acid battery, 12 V/4.5 Ah, and 1.5 V,
AAA batteries. Remove the batteries before disposing of the product.
The European Directive for batteries 2006/66/EC states that it is not
permitted to throw away batteries with household waste. They may contain
substances which are harmful to the environment. Empty batteries can be handed
over to local, public collection point or a local recycling centre.
Dispose of packaging in an environmentally-friendly manner. Recycling
packaging, while observing national and local regulations, can reduce the
consumption of raw materials and the amount of waste in landfill sites.
This product is marked in compliance with European Directive 2012/19/EU, Waste
Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). The symbol on the product or on
its packaging indicates that this product should not be treated as household
waste.
Instead it shall be handed over to the applicable collection point for the
recycling of electrical and electronic equipment.
By ensuring this product is disposed of correctly, you will help prevent
potential negative consequences for the environment and human health, which
could otherwise be caused by inappropriate waste handling of this product. For
more detailed information about recycling of this product, please contact the
relevant municipal body in charge of waste management, your household waste
disposal service or the store where you purchased the product.
Remove the batteries for disposal

Remove the battery from the speaker
- Turn off and disconnect the speaker from the mains.
- Unscrew and remove the side panels and the front panel.
- Remove the speaker membrane in the lower part of the speaker.
- Unscrew the metal band that holds the battery in place.
- Cut the cords that are connected to the battery.
- Dispose of the battery at a local, public collection point or a local recycling centre. See section “Disposal”, page 10.
Remove the batteries from the remote control
- Turn off and disconnect the speaker from the mains.
- Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
- Remove the batteries from the battery compartment.

Unpack the partybox speaker
DANGER!
Keep all packaging material away from children, there is a risk of
suffocation.
Check the packaging and product for any damage. If the packaging or product is
damaged, contact the transport operator and the retailer where the product was
purchased.

Basic operations
Turn on and turn off the speaker
WARNING!
- Before connecting the product to the mains, make sure the connection parameters of the product (fuse rating, voltage and frequency) match the mains power supply. If in any doubt, consult a qualified electrician.
CAUTION!
Turn off the product and disconnect it from the power mains if it is not to be
used for a longer period of time.
Turn on and turn off the speaker

Connect the speaker to the mains or disconnect the power cord from the speaker and use the power from the built-in battery.

Press and hold to turn on the speaker.
The speaker is turned on. -
Long press to turn off the speaker.
The speaker is turned off.
Enter Standby mode
- Short press to enter Standby mode.
NOTE!
• Standby mode is activated automatically after 15 minutes of inactivity.
• When the speaker exits Standby mode, it returns to all previous settings.
• Press and hold to turn off the speaker when it is not being used for a longer period. This turns off the speaker completely.
Charge the partybox speaker
The usage voltage of the product is 220-240 V, 50-60 Hz.
DANGER!
Do not insert any objects into the power input except the supplied power cord.
WARNING!
- Before connecting the product to the mains, make sure the connection parameters of the product (fuse rating, voltage and frequency) match the mains power supply. If in any doubt, consult a qualified electrician.
- Connect the power cord to the mains and to the power input on the rear panel.
NOTE!
• The charge indicator is red when charging.
• The battery is fully charged after 6 hours and the charge indicator turns green.
Use the Bluetooth mode
The speaker can connect to another device via Bluetooth within a 10 meter
range.
- Short press MODE and select Bluetooth mode on the speaker.
- Turn on the Bluetooth mode on the other device.
- Select the name of the speaker on the device to be connected to the speaker.
During connection Blue is flashing on the display. When the connection is stable, Blue stops flashing and Blue is displayed.
NOTE!
• Once the speaker is connected via Bluetooth to another device, it will automatically reconnect when music playback is restarted. Short press to pause or resume music playback.
• If a mobile phone is connected to the speaker, the music is paused when a phone call starts. After the call ends, the speaker reconnects, and music playback continues.
Use the TWS connection function
True wireless stereo (TWS) Bluetooth connection, can only be used between two
identical speakers. Use the function to reproduce real stereo sound with the
speakers and a paired Bluetooth device.
- Turn on both speakers, see section “Turn on and turn off the speaker”, page 16.
- Short press MODE to enter Bluetooth mode on both speakers.
- Short press on the speaker selected to be the master speaker.
The speaker not selected as master speaker is automatically configured as a slave device.
It can take a few seconds to establish the connection between the two
speakers.
NOTE!
- During the connection process Slave is flashing on the display of the slave speaker.
- When the TWS connection is established Slave stops flashing.
NOTE!
- Use AUX, USB, FM or Bluetooth for playing the music preferred.
- The master speaker act as the left channel for music playback and receives the input signals. The slave speaker act as the right channel.
- Audio systems automatically reconnect with each other. Once a connection is established, both speakers start to sound simultaneously.

Use the USB playback function
- Insert a USB drive to the USB port (USB 1 or USB 2) on the rear panel.
- Short press MODE to select USB mode.
The speaker is now connected to the USB drive.
Charge an external device via the USB port
Use the partybox speaker to charge an external device via the USB port on the
rear panel.
- Turn on the speaker, see section “Turn on and turn off the speaker”, page 16.
- Connect an external device with an USB charging cord (not supplied) to USB 1 or USB 2 (DC 5V 1A).
The external device starts charging automatically.
Use the LED light
The LED panel is activated as default.
- Short press LIGHT to choose colour of the LED light (seven colours available).
- Long press LIGHT to select LED mode (full circle, half circle and sound response).
- Long press MODE to turn on or off the LED panel.
Use the microphone playback function
DANGER!
Do not insert any conductive objects into the connectors or inputs of the
product.
- Insert a microphone cord (not supplied) to the MIC input on the rear panel.
- To adjust the volume, do one of the following:
• Long press TRBL.
• Use the rotary knob on the top panel or press on the remote control.
Use the guitar connection
DANGER!
Do not insert any conductive objects into the connectors or inputs of the
product.
- Insert your guitar cord (not supplied) to the 6.5 mm GUITAR input on the rear panel.
Connect an external sound source
Connect for example a PC, mobile phone, DVD player or a MP3 player to the
speaker.
- Insert the 3.5 mm audio cord to the speaker’s AUX IN input.
- Insert the other side of the cord to the output of the device to be connected.
NOTE!
• Adjust the volume on the external sound source.
• Use the control buttons of the external sound source to control the playback.
Connect several audio systems in a chain
Connect several audio systems into one chain to create a powerful music and
lighting setup, such as for a disco.
- Short press MODE and select Line mode.
- Insert a 3.5 mm audio cord in the AUX IN or AUDIO OUT on the speaker.
- Insert the other end of the cord in the system to be connected.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Use this table to solve problems with the partybox speaker.
DANGER!
