The Pinlock lens is a moisture-absorbing lens designed to be installed on a helmet visor. It creates a thermal barrier to prevent fogging and ensure clear vision while riding. The lens is made of high-quality material and comes with a silicone seal that provides a tight and secure fit against the helmet visor. The Pinlock lens is compatible with various helmet models and can be easily installed and removed according to the helmet manufacturer’s instructions.

Product Usage Instructions

• Remove the helmet visor from the helmet as per the helmet manufacturer’s instructions.
• Check if the arrows on the Pinlock pins in the visor are pointing outwards. If not, refer to the lens adjustment manual for further instructions.
• Flex the helmet visor and place the Pinlock lens between the two pins provided in the helmet visor. Avoid touching the lens surface. Place the silicone seal against the inside of the visor.
• Allow the helmet visor to regain its curved shape. Check with natural light if the silicone seal on the Pinlock lens makes full contact with the helmet visor. This is necessary to create the thermal barrier.
• If the silicone seal does not make full contact with the helmet visor, refer to the lens adjustment manual for troubleshooting steps.
• Remove the protective film from the Pinlock lens.
• Reinstall the helmet visor back on the helmet. Check if you can read the logo from the outside of the visor.

How to install your Pinlock® lens

Your Pinlock® lens is made from moisture absorbing material. The Pinlock lens fits exactly between the pins in the helmet visor and provides you a fog-free vision.
The silicon seal on the Pinlock lens creates an insulating air pocket between the Pinlock lens and the visor. The Pinlock® pins are excentric, which means that the axis of the pin is not precisely in the center. This enables you to increase or decrease the tension on the Pinlock lens by turning the pins, allowing the silicone seal to have a perfect fit.

• Remove the visor
  Remove the helmet visor from the helmet as shown in the helmet manufacturers’ instructions.

• Check the pin position
  Check if the arrows on the Pinlock pins in the visor are pointing outwards. If not, please check the lens adjustment manual.

• Install the lens
  Then flex the helmet visor and place the Pinlock lens between the two pins provided in the helmet visor, avoid touching the lens surface. Place the silicon seal against the inside of the visor.

• Check the seal
  Carefully allow the helmet visor to reacquire its curved shape. Check with natural light if the silicon seal on the Pinlock lens makes full contact with the helmet visor. This is needed for to create the thermal barrier.

  • Not sealing correctly
    If the silicon seal does not make full contact with the helmet visor, please check the lens adjustment manual.

• Protective film
  Remove the protective film from the Pinlock lens.

• Reinstall the visor
  Fit the helmet visor back on the helmet. Check if you can read the logo from the outside of the visor.
