ASSEMBLING & OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Remove the appliance from the carton. If the appliance is damaged, please contact Fanmaster or where you purchased the appliance from.
DO NOT CONNECT TO POWER WHEN ASSEMBLING. DO NOT RUN THE FAN WITHOUT THE GUARDS ON.
Assembly Instructions
- Unpack fan components on a flat surface with room to move around the fan without restriction.
- Place fan base (23) on flat surface.
- Attach the stand pipe connector (22) and tighten supplied bolts evenly and lower decorative cover (21).
- Extend inner tube lift pipe (17) about 200mm and lock in position with side locking knob/ fixing screw (19).
- Slide rubber washer (16) down as far as possible to the top of the lower pipe, this stops the fan head sliding down when the locking nut is released, adjusting height must be done with caution.
- Lay motor on its side and tighten clamp bolt (14) with a spanner and the locking screw (15) so the casting is 90% to the motor shaft. When installing a Wall Mount Fan always mount the mounting pipe (J bracket) vertical (not angled down), if the fan is angled down excessively when on maximum oscillation premature failure of the oscillating gears can occur.
- Lift motor carefully and slide onto the top of the inner tuber and tighten the locking screw (9).
- Attach the rear fan guard (4) to the motor with the screws (12) found on the motor face (front).
- . Attach the fan blade (11), ensure the grub screw (3) in the blade hub lines up with flat surface on the shaft, failure to do so can result in the blade becoming loose or being out of balance.
- Spin the fan blade/impeller slowly by hand making sure it is fitted secure on the shaft.
- Remove the safety nut and bolt (1) located at the bottom of the front guard and attach the front guard (2). Position the small locating bracket (1) on the centre top spoke of the rear guard.
- Refit the safety nut and bolt (10) back in the locating hole and tighten.
- Firmly close all 5 x quick-lock guard clips.
- Recheck all screws and bolts have been appropriately tightened.
- When turning the fan on for the first time, turn it on to Speed 1 only. Check for any vibrations – if there are any vibrations turn off immediately and contact Fanmaster.
Fix the electric control box on the left side of wall mount base plate, using the M4 screw & spring washer.
DO NOT CABLE TIE, SECURE OR WRAP THE POWER LEAD FROM THE MOTOR TO THE PULL CORD SWITCH BOX
THE POWER LEAD REQUIRES SUFFICIENT FREE CABLE TO ALLOW FOR FREE MOVEMENT WHEN OSCILLATING, FAILURE TO DO SO COULD CAUSE AN ELECTRICAL FAULT.
FAILURE TO ADHERE TO THIS ADVICE COULD VOID WARRANTY ON THIS PRODUCT
ASSEMBLING & OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Operating Instructions
-
Wall Fan – mount the fan according to the Figure 1. During assembly check all parts for possible damage during transport.
-
Connect the plug to the relevant power source.
-
The fan is not designed to be used in a wet or corrosive environment. Use only in an open clean and dust free environment.
-
The Pedestal Fan has a knob switch (4) with 4 positions, labeled 0,1,2 &3. Position 0 = Off, 1 = slowest speed, 2 = medium speed and 3 = fastest speed. The Wall Mount Fan is fitted with a pull cord style switch. Pull down lightly on the cord once to switch it on to the slowest speed. Pull it again for the medium speed and again for the fastest speed. Pull the cord again to switch the fan off.
NOTE: Minimal pressure is required when pulling the cord. Pulling too hard mayresult in damaging the cord. -
Care must be taken when adjusting the height of the fan. To adjust the pedestal fan, support the weight of the fan head prior to loosing the adjusting knob (19).
Make sure the large rubber washer (16) is positioned at the bottom of the upper tube. Tighten adjusting knob when at the required height. Adjust the Wall Fan by loosening the bolt (24) in the wall plate and raising or lowering the bracket. Be sure to support the weight of fan prior to loosening the bolt.
NOTE: Only adjust the height when the fan is turned off. -
The Oscillation is adjusted by moving the screw (7) in or out of the slot under the oscillating disc. Moving the screw towards the centre will give a smaller range and moving it towards the outside will give it a wider range of oscillation.
-
The fan is designed to operate in ambient temperatures up to 40 degrees celsius. If the temperature rises above 40 degrees celsius, turn the fan OFF to avoid damage.
-
If the power cord becomes damaged, do not use the fan. Please contact Fanmaster.
CLEANING, MAINTENANCE & STORAGE
