How to Install BMENUA0100 Firmware
Using EcoStruxure Automation Device Maintenance
Instruction Manual
Firmware Updates – Unsecured Mode
Pre-Requisites

If the card is already configured, take a backup of the module configuration and reset the module to Factory Default.

Once RESET select Standard (Unsecured) Mode and wait until it is in standard mode (see the LED pattern).

Use either the default IP address of the control port or the configured IP address (i.e. 192.164.10.1).
The default is 10.10.@MAC5.@MAC6.
Example: @MAC 00.80.F4.01.F0.61
Default @IP will be: 10.10.240.97 -
If the control port is disabled, use the backplane port IP address.

Check communication with the module using Ping.
The positions on the rotary switch are:
User Management
The BMENUA0100 module provides role-based access control (RBAC). All users are
assigned a role and can perform only those tasks associated with that role.
The following roles and permissions are supported:

Each BMENUA0100 module supports a maximum of 15 simultaneous users. No custom
roles or custom permission sets can be configured.
No IP address-based access control whitelist can be configured.
- Open the web page: e.g. https://192.164.10.1
- Enter the login and password:
- Login: installer
- Password: Inst@ller
- Confirm access to the web page of the module.
- If the password does not open the unit, repeat the first step and ensure the module has been reset to factory default.
- Only the “installer” profile can upgrade the firmware.
Open EcoStruxure Automation Device Maintenance (EADM)
Setup EADM – this step can be bypassed but is useful if updating the CPU
Acquire firmware and load this into the package folder

Discover and Manually Add a Device
Select the firmware and trust the Connection
Enter the Password and Connect
Select the device, then update the firmware and confirm the update
Monitor the update, verify completion and check the summary

Access Web page

Login – first with the default setting

Change to a new password as required – suggestion:
Login: admin
Password: A@dmin_01 -
Remove the errors
Configure an installer
- Needed to update the firmware
- Under user management, create a New User.
- Suggestion: user: Installer pswd: Inst@ller_01 role: Installer
- Once submitted make sure the configuration is applied to the device.
Connect using EcoStruxure Automation Device Maintenance (EADM)

Open EADM

Make sure the firmware is in the
Data Packages folder -
Add a manual device

Select the BMENUA0100 firmware
-
Trust the certificate
-
Enter the password and connect.

Select the device
-
Update firmware
-
Confirm success via the summary
