HOW TO SETUP

PLUG IN THE ECHO GLOW TO A POWER OUTLET
The Amazon Echo Glow doesn’t require a battery to operate. Instead, a cable is used, and you must plug it into an electrical outlet. -
INSTALL THE ALEXA APP ON YOUR PHONE.
Go to the app store on your phone and download the Alexa app if you haven’t already. Install the app after downloading it. The required synchronization control between the lamp and other Amazon devices will be provided by the app.
Make sure you have the most recent version of the app if you already have it installed. -
COMPLETE THE IN-APP INSTALLATION
Get your phone’s Alexa app open. On the bottom right of the screen, tap the Devices symbol. Then, click the “+” button to add a new device. After choosing “Light” as the type of device, hit “Amazon Echo.” Finally, adhere to the additional directions that are displayed on the screen.

I have Alexa set to turn on, but is there a way to extend the time it stays on? I want to add turning off the Alexa glow to my evening routine.
Edit the Alexa App on your phone’s Routine that requires you to switch on the lamp (access by hitting the menu bars in the upper left corner of the App). Pick Routine, then your existing Routine, and finally the “Add Action” Plus symbol. Select “WAIT” from the list of options, then specify the duration in seconds. Repeat the “Add Action” step to choose “Smart Home” and turn it off.

You don’t, you don’t. This only works with the Alexa app. Without an echo device, you can build up routines based on the time and day.
