Product Information

The product is the Ridge ResKey Unit, model 14-RK10. It is a device that is used in conjunction with a receiver (Security Brands 14-REC20 or 14-REC300) to control automatic gates and doors. The unit is powered by two AAA batteries and has an IP44-rating for protection from the elements. It is important to mount the unit in a covered location away from metal objects and anything that may interfere with RF transmission.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Unpack the box and ensure that all items are present, except for mounting screws and wall anchors which are not included.
  2. Remove the single screw from the bottom of the unit and detach it from the mounting plate by pulling it away from the bottom end.
  3. Take out the screws from the back of the unit housing and carefully remove the back cover to access the battery holders.
  4. Hold the circuit board in place and insert the AAA batteries into the battery holders, ensuring correct orientation.
  5. Replace the back cover of the unit and secure it with the screws.
  6. Install the mounting plate in the desired location using the provided hardware. It can also be done after programming.
  7. Attach the unit to the mounting plate and secure it with a screw. The mounting plate hook should be slipped into the unit groove before pressing it into place.

Important Safety Information
Automatic gates and doors can cause serious injury or death. Always check that the gate/door path is clear before operating. Reversing or other safety devices should always be used.

Note: The following usage instructions pertain to programming the Ridge 2.0 Transceiver 14-REC20, which operates at 433-MHz:

  1. Press and hold the programming button on the Ridge 2.0 Transceiver for 3 seconds and release. The LED will light up.
  2. Follow the specific procedures below based on the desired action:
  3. Pair Keypad Unit with Ridge 2.0 Receiver (14-REC20)
  * Enter the Master Code (default is 1251).
  * Enter the Sub Mode.
  * Enter the Channel (1 for A, 2 for B).
  * Add a 433-MHz Access Code by entering the Master Code and the Access Code to be added (4 digits, numbers only).
  * Delete a 433-MHz Access Code by entering the Master Code and the Access Code to be deleted (4 digits, numbers only).
  * Change the 433-MHz Master Code by entering the Master Code and the New Master Code (4 digits, numbers only).
  * Add a 433-MHz Limited-Use Code (Channel A Only) by entering the Master Code and the Code to be added (4 digits, numbers only).
  * Delete all 433-MHz Codes by entering the Master Code twice.
2. Follow the same procedure as above, but with different codes, for adding, deleting, and changing 300-MHz Access Codes when using a different receiver (Receiver 300 14-REC300).

Note: It is recommended to use custom DIP switch positions for security reasons. After completing the programming steps, the unit will beep, flash, and emit a good tone to indicate successful completion.
