Mixer with stirrer and operating instruction in a set carton box.
Application for Intended Purpose
This hand-held mixer is designed for use in mixing bigger quantities of liquid
media, such as paint, glue, tile cement and others up to 40 kg.
The diameter of the used stirrers should not be bigger than 120 mm.
Safety Instructions
Safe work with the machine is only possible if you read this operating
instruction completely and strictly follow the instructions contained herein.
In addition, the general safety instructions in the enclosed brochure have to
be observed. Take part in a practical introduction before the first use. Save
all warnings and instructions for future reference.
If the connecting cable is getting damaged or severed during the work, don’t
touch it but pull the mains plug immediately. Never use the machine with
damaged connecting cable.
The machine must neither be wet, nor be used in humid ambient conditions.
- Do not use the tool for mixing materials either in danger of explosion or easily inflammable.
- Do not mix food.
- Do not carry the tool at its cable.
- Always check the tool, cable and plug before use. Have damages only repaired by specialists. Only insert the plug into the socket when the tool switch is OFF.
- Modifications of the tool are prohibited.
- When the machine runs outside, always use a protection switch (30 mA max.) against fault current.
- The machine should only run under supervision of somebody.
- Pull the plug and switch the machine off if it is not under supervision, e. g. in case of setting up and stripping down the machine, in case of voltage drop or when fixing or mounting an accessory.
- Switch the machine off if it stops for whatever reason. This way, you avoid that it starts suddenly and not under supervision.
- Always lead the cable to the back, away from the machine.
- Do not use the machine if a part of the housing is damaged or in case of damages on the switch, the connection cable or plug.
- Power tools have to be inspected by a specialist in regular intervals.
- Keep the handles dry, clean and free of oil and grease.
- Do not touch rotating parts.
- Be careful with long hair. Only work with close-fitting clothes.
- Persons under 16 years of age are not allowed to use the machine.
- Before starting up, check that the mixing rod is securely attached and rotates without a hitch.
- Do not reach into the mixing container with your hands or insert any other objects into it while mixing is in progress. Risk of crushing!
- Wait until the machine or tool comes to a complete standstill. Rotating tools can snag and cause injuries or damage.
- The mixing container must be suitable for mixing and must stand securely. A container that is not properly secured may move uncontrolled.
- Ensure that no liquid splashes against the housing of the power tool. Liquid that has penetrated the power tool can cause damage and lead to electric shock.
- Follow the instructions and warnings in the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) of the material to be mixed. Material to be mixed may be harmful.
- Do not use the power tool in a stand.
- When working with this machine wear ear protectors, goggles, dust mask, protective gloves and protective boots.
During use, always hold the machine with both hands and maintain a safe
standing position. Start up and run down the machine in the mixing container
only. Pay attention to the reaction moment of the machine.
For further safety instructions, please refer to the enclosure.
Electrical Connection
Before starting the machine check the correspondence between voltage and
frequency against the data mentioned on the identification plate. Voltage
differences from + 6 % and – 10 % are allowed. The mixing machine is made in
protection class II. Only use extension cables with a sufficient cross-
section.
A cross-section which is too small could lead to an excessive power loss and
to overheating of motor and cable.
Recommended minimum cross sections and maximum cable lengths
Mains voltage | Cross section in sq. mm |
---|---|
1.5 | |
110V | 20 m |
230V | 50 m |
Tool Change
Attention!
Before any work on the tool, disconnect the plug from the mains!
When inserting the tool, you could catch your hands. For this reason, always
wear protective gloves for changing the tool.
The work spindle of the machine has an M 14 – internal thread. Keep threads
and front surface clean.
Please hold up with a jaw wrench 22 to remove the stirring rod.
Tool Protection
A wrong handling can result in damages.
Hence, the following instructions should be observed:
Use only paddles recommended from the producer with M 14 – internal thread
(diameter max. 120 mm).
Do not allow blocking of the tool due to overload.
Use only original parts from EIBENSTOCK.
Switching on and off
Switching-on: press the on/off switch
Switching-off: release the on/off switch
The mixing machine is equipped with an electronic switch.
With this switch the speed can be regulated according to the pressure on the
button. The use is only recommended for the starting and running out of the
machine to avoid particles flying around. A permanent operating with reduced
speed will lead to an overload, as less cooling air will then be available for
the motor and therefore this will be overheated much faster.
Care and Maintenance
Before the beginning
of maintenance or repair works you have to disconnect the plug from the mains.
Repairs may be executed only be appropriately qualified and experienced
personnel. After every repair the machine has to be inspected by an electric
specialist. Due to its design, the machine needs a minimum of care and
maintenance. However, the following points always have to be observed:
- Always keep the power tool and the ventilation slots clean.
- During work, please pay attention that no particles get inside the machine.
- In case of failure, a repair has to be carried out by an authorised service workshop.
Our after-sales service responds to your questions concerning maintenance and
repair of your product as well as spare parts.
EIBENSTOCK’s application service team will gladly answer questions concerning
our products and their accessories.
Environmental Protection
Raw Material Recycling instead of Waste Disposal
In order to avoid damages on transportation, the tool has to be delivered in
solid packaging. Packaging as well as unit and accessories are made of
recyclable materials and can be disposed accordingly.
The tool’s plastics components are marked according to their material, which
makes it possible to remove environmentally friendly and differentiated
because of available collection facilities.
Only for EU countries
**** Do not dispose of electric tools together with household waste material!
In observance of the European Directive 2012/19/EC on waste electrical and
electronic equipment and its implementation in accordance with national law,
electric tools that have reached the end of their life must be collected
separately and returned to an environmentally compatible recycling facility.
Noise Emission
The indication of noise emission is measured according EN 62841-2-10. The
level of acoustic pressure on work site could exceed 85 dB (A); in this case
protection means must be used.
Wear ear protectors!
The typical hand-arm vibration is below 2.5 m/s².
Measured values determined according to EN 62841-2-10.
Vibration emission value ah 1,6 m/s2
Uncertainty K 0,1 m/s2
The declared vibration emission level represents the main applications of the
tool. However, if the tool is used for different applications, with different
accessories or poorly maintained, the vibration emission may differ. This may
significantly increase the exposure level over the total working period An
estimation of the level of exposure to vibration should also take into account
the times when the tool is switched off or when it is running but not actually
doing the job. This may significantly reduce the exposure level over the total
working period. Identify additional safety measures to protect the operator
from the effects of vibration such as: maintain the tool and the accessories,
keep the hands warm, organisation of work patterns.
Warranty
According to the general supply conditions for business dealings, suppliers
have to provide to companies a warranty period of 12 months for exhibitory
defects. (to be documented by invoice or delivery note). Damage due to natural
wear, overstressing or improper handling are excluded from this warranty.
Damages due to material defects or production faults shall be eliminated free
of charge by either repair or replacement.
Complaints will be accepted only if the tool was returned in non-dismantled
condition to the manufacturer or an authorized Eibenstock service centre.
