Application for Intended Purpose

  • The Stirrer EHR 20.1 R is designed for use in mixing of prefab plaster, gypsum, lime, concrete and other building materials of medium and high viscosity in batches up to 50 kg.
  • The diameter of the used stirrer should not exceed 140 mm.

Safety Instructions

  • Safe work with the machine is only possible, if you read these operating instructions completely and strictly follow the instructions contained herein.
  • In addition, the general safety instructions in the enclosed brochure have to be observed. Take part in a practical introduction before the first use. Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
  • If the connection cable is getting damaged or cut during the work, don’t touch it, but instantly pull the plug out of the socket. Never use the machine with damaged connection cable.
  • The machine must neither be wet, nor be used in humid ambient conditions.
  • Do not use the tool for mixing materials either in danger of explosion or easily inflammable.
  • Ne pas utiliser l’outil pour mélanger des produits alimentaires.
  • Do not carry the tool at its cable.
  • Always check the tool, cable and plug before use. Have damages only repaired by specialists. Only insert the plug into the socket when the tool switch is OFF.
  • Modifications of the tool are prohibited.
  • When the machine runs outside, always use a protection switch (30 mA max.) against fault current.
  • The machine should only run under supervision of somebody.
  • Pull the plug and switch the machine off if it is not under supervision, e. g. in case of setting up and stripping down the machine, in case of voltage drop or when fixing or mounting an accessory.
  • Switch the machine off if it stops for whatever reason. This way, you avoid that it starts suddenly and not under supervision.
  • Always lead the cable to the back, away from the machine.
  • Do not use the machine if a part of the housing is damaged or in case of damages on the switch, the connection cable or plug.
  • Power tools have to be inspected by a specialist in regular intervals.
  • Keep the handles dry, clean and free of oil and grease.
  • Do not touch rotating parts.
  • Be careful with long hair. Only work with close-fitting clothes.
  • Persons under 16 years of age are not allowed to use the machine.
  • Before starting up, check that the mixing rod is securely attached and rotates without a hitch.
  • Do not reach into the mixing container with your hands or insert any other objects into it while mixing is in progress. Risk of crushing!
  • Wait until the machine or tool comes to a complete standstill. Rotating tools can snag and cause injuries or damage.
  • The mixing container must be suitable for mixing and must stand securely. A container that is not properly secured may move uncontrolled.
  • Ensure that no liquid splashes against the housing of the power tool. Liquid that has penetrated the power tool can cause damage and lead to electric shock.
  • Follow the instructions and warnings in the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) of the material to be mixed. Material to be mixed may be harmful.
  • In the event of a power interruption, release the locking switch by pressing the on/off switch. This will prevent the power tool from restarting unintentionally (risk of injury).
  • Do not use the power tool in a stand.
  • When working with this machine wear ear protectors, goggles, dust mask, protective gloves and protective boots.

  • During use, always hold the machine with both hands and maintain a safe standing position. Start up and run down the machine in the mixing container only. Pay attention to the reaction moment of the machine.
For further safety instructions, please refer to the enclosure.

Electrical Connection

  • Before starting the machine check the correspondence between voltage and frequency according to the data mentioned on the identification plate. Voltage differences from + 6 % and – 10 % are allowed.
  • The stirrer is made in protection class II.
  • Only use extension cables with a sufficient cross-section. A cross-section which is too small could lead to an excessive power loss and to an overheating of motor and cable.

Tool Change

Attention!
Before any work on the tool, disconnect the plug from the mains!

  • When inserting the tool, you could catch your hands. For this reason, always wear protective gloves for changing the tool.
  • The work spindle of the machine has an M 14 – internal thread. Keep threads and front surface clean.
  • Please hold up with a jaw wrench 22 to remove the stirring rod.

Tool Protection

  • Wrong handling can cause damages on the tool. Therefore, the following instructions should be observed:
  • Only use stirring rods which have a M 14 – external thread  (diameter 140 mm max.) and are recommended by the producer.
  • Do not allow blocking of the tool.
  • Only use original accessories made by EIBENSTOCK.

Switching on and off

  • To start the power tool, first press the lock-off button, then press the on/off switch and keep it pressed.
Note: For safety reasons, the on/off switch cannot be locked; it must remain pressed during the entire operation.

  • To switch off the power tool, release the on/off switch.

  • The EHR 20.1 R is equipped with an adjusting wheel in order to preselect the required speed. The adjusting wheel is on the top side of the switch handle.

  • I – minimum, IIIIIII – maximum

  • The integrated electronics automatically realises the soft start of the machine. Please pay attention that in case of immediate switching OFF and ON again there is a switch-on delay, because the motor first has to come to rest before it can restart.

  • A permanent use with reduced speed can cause an overload because the motor then gets less cooling air and therefore the machine will be overheated much faster. The integrated temperature control protects the machine from thermal overload. In such a case it switches off the motor. After a certain period of cooling time the tool can be switched ON again.

Care and Maintenance

Before the beginning of maintenance or repair works you have to disconnect the plug from the mains.

  • Repairs may be executed only by appropriately qualified and experienced personnel. After every repair the machine has to be inspected by an electric specialist.
  • Due to its design, the machine needs a minimum of care and maintenance. However, the following points always have to be observed:
    • Always keep the power tool and the ventilation slots clean.
    • During work, please pay attention that no particles get inside the machine.
    • In case of failure, a repair has to be carried out by an authorised service workshop.
  • Our after-sales service responds to your questions concerning maintenance and repair of your product as well as spare parts.
  • EIBENSTOCK’s application service team will gladly answer questions concerning our products and their accessories.

Environmental Protection

Raw material recycling instead of waste disposal
To avoid damages on transportation, the power tool has to be delivered in a sturdy packing. The packing as well as the tool and its accessories are made of recyclable materials which makes it possible to remove environmentally friendly und differentiated because of available collection facilities.

Only for EU countries

  • Do not dispose of electric tools together with household waste material!
  • In observance of the European Directive 2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronic equipment and its implementation in accordance with national law, electric tools that have reached the end of their life must be collected separately and returned to an environmentally compatible recycling facility.

Noise Emission/ Vibration

  • Measured sound values determined according to EN 62841-2-10. Typically, the A-weighted noise levels of the product are:

    • Sound pressure level LwA 80 dB(A)
    • Sound power level LpA 91 dB(A)
    • Uncertainty K 3 dB
      Wear ear protectors!
  • Vibration total values ah and uncertainty K determined according to EN 62841-2-10:

    • Vibration emission value ah 0,6 m/s2
    • Uncertainty K 0,05 m/s2
  • The declared vibration emission level represents the main applications of the tool. However, if the tool is used for different applications, with different accessories or poorly maintained, the vibration emission may differ. This may significantly increase the exposure level over the total working period

  • An estimation of the level of exposure to vibration should also take into account the times when the tool is switched off or when it is running but not actually doing the job. This may significantly reduce the exposure level over the total working period.

  • Identify additional safety measures to protect the operator from the effects of vibration such as: maintain the tool and the accessories, keep the hands warm, organisation of work patterns.

Warranty

  • According to our general terms of delivery for business dealings, suppliers have to provide to companies a warranty period of 12 months for redhibitory defects (to be documented by invoice or delivery note).
  • Damages due to natural wear, overstressing or improper handling are excluded from this warranty.
  • Damages due to material defects or production faults shall be eliminated free of charge by either repair or replacement.
  • Complaints will be accepted only if the tool is returned in non-dismantled condition to the manufacturer or an authorized Eibenstock service centre.
