INSTRUCTION MANUAL

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE AND CARE OF FILLED AND SEALED LEAD-ACID BATTERY

Piease read the instructions carefully before using the battery.
Fulbat could not be held responsible for the consequences of improper installation and/or misuse of the battery inside your vehicle. If you have any problem or doubt, for your security we recommend you to contact a professional.
** Instructions must be followed for a safe use of filled and sealed Lead- Acid battery.
Wear eye protection.
Keep children away from acid and batteries.
Explosion hazard:
-A highly-explosive oxyhydrogen gas mixture occurs when charging batteries.
Fire, sparks, naked lights and smoking are prohibited:
– Avoid causing sparks when dealing with cables and electrical equipment and beware of electrostatic discharges.
– Avoid short-circuits.
Corrosive hazard:
Battery acid is highly corrosive:
– Wear protective gloves and eye protection.
First aid:
** – EVES > Immediately hold eyes open and rinse immediately with plain water for at least |5 minutes. Consult a doctor without delay.
– SKIN > Quickly, but gently, wipe acid from skin. Remove any contaminated clothing or footwear and thoroughly wash the affected area with soap and water for at lease 15 minutes. Consult a doctor without delay
– SWALLOWED > Do not induce vomiting. Rinse out mouth with water, and if conscious, induce copious drinking of water or milk. Consult a doctor without delay.
Warning note:
– Do not expose batteries in direct daylight without protection.
– Discharged batteries can freeze, therefore it must be stored in an area free from frost.
Disposal:
– Take old batteries to a proper collection point. The instructions listed under part | must be followed during transportation. Never dispose old batteries ina domestic waste bin.

INFORMATIONS

  1. NB: interruptions to the power supply may cause electrical devices (e.g. immobiliser, radio etc.) to malfunction.
  2. Only install batteries thac have been sufficiently charged, i.e. with a minimum terminal voltage of 12.5 V.
  3. Switch off the engine and all electrical devices before removing the battery.
  4. When removing the battery, disconnect the negative terminal a) before the positive terminal (+).
  5. Clean the installation area in the vehicle before fitting the new battery.
  6. Clean the battery terminals and terminal connectors, treat the terminals with acid-free grease.
  7. Use the original attachment parts. Firmly secure the battery.
  8. Wait until you’re connecting the battery within the vehicle before removing the protective caps.Attach these to the terminals of the battery being replaced to prevent short circuits and sparks.
  9. When installing the new battery, connect the positive terminal (+) before the negative terminal (—). Ensure the terminal connectors are securely in place.
  10. Take parts such as terminal covers, the elbow, the hose connector and the terminal clamp holder from the previous battery and connect as before.
    Use any available or supplied filler caps.
    {| 1) Leave at least one gas outlet open to avoid the risk of explosion. This also applies to the transport of used batteries.

CHARGING

  1. Only use suitable direct current chargers and observe their operating instructions.
  2. Never charge frozen batteries or those with a temperature above 45 °C.
  3. rronnect the positive terminal of the battery (+) to the positive cerminal of the charger, and the negative terminal of the battery (—) to the negative terminal the charger.
  4. Only switch on the charger once the battery has been connected.
  5. Only switch off the charger once the battery has finished charging.
  6.  Stop charging if the battery becomes hot or if acid leaks out!
  7. Ensure charging takes place in a well-ventilated area.

MAINTENANCE

  1. Keep the surface of the battery clean and dry, and only clean with a damp or anti-static cloth.
  2. Protect the terminals and connectors from corrosion, and creat with acid-free grease.
  3. Do not open batteries where the caps are totally sealed!
  4. If cold start performance is insufficient, check the battery and, if necessary, recharge. ig Stored batteries should be kept charged and cool at all times.
  5. Check the state of charge on a regular basis or use a trickle charger. Recharge if the terminal voltage falls below 12.3 V,
