Reference

BAC: Blood Alcohol Concentration
BrAC: Breath Alcohol Concentration

0.030%   BAC — refers that there’s 0.03g alcohol in each 100ml of blood
0.300%. BAC — refers that there’s 0.30g alcohol in each 1000ml of blood

Battery

  1. Open battery compartment
    Battery

  2. Place 3 pieces of (AAA) alkalin batteries by following the positive and negative pole instructions.

  3. Install the battery compartment.

How To Use

WARM-UP

  1. Press the power button and hold for 2 seconds, after the “tick” sound, the LCD screen will start up.

  2. “Warm up” will appear on the screen, then under the Warm up mode, it will start countdown from 15 to 00.

NOTE: Sometimes you might have to hold power button for a bit longer when you haven’t used breathalyzer for a long time.

WARM-UP

  1. The “Blow” symbol is displayed when warm up is successful and the 10 to 00 countdown starts.
    How To Use

  2. Blow into the breath inhaler (mouthpiece) for 5 seconds with normal breath after a deep inhalation.

  3. Read the test result from the LCD screen

  4. The “Caution” symbol is displayed if the concentration is the level:

  5. The “Danger” symbol is displayed with deep audible alert if alcohol concentration is the level:
    WARM-UP

  6. Unit conversion: Hold down the “Power” button to change the units, the final displayed units will be the units for the next test.

NOTE:

To obtain more accurate result, we recommend you to check alcohol levels for 3 times.

The breathalyzers turns off automatically after 20 seconds of showing the results.

Common Fix

Fault: Power on failing

Possible Cause:

Batteries positioned incorrectly Lower power batteries

Solution:

Install batteries correctly Replace the new alkaline batteries

Fault: No response

Possible Cause:

Warm up not completed

Solution:

Warm up more times

Fault: No results showing

Possible Cause:

Not blowing in scheduled time

Solution:

Blow during “BLOW” countdown time or warm up again

Fault: Different result after several testing

Possible Cause:

Testing as soon as drinking Blowing time different

Solution:

Testing after 20 minutes of drinking Deep breath for 5 seconds

Precautions

  1. Take a test at least 20 minutes after drinking to ensure alcohol is absorbed from digestive system into the bloodstream.
  2. Do not clean breathalyzer with direct use of chemicals or fluid containing corrosive matters.
  3. If under an environment with high concentration of gas, the breathalyzer might not work properly.
  4. If the breathalyzer is under low voltage, there might be some deviation between real and test values.
  5. Do not place it with paint, pesticides, alcohol, or corrosive gasses.
  6. After long time of using, it’s normal for dirt and dust to appear. Clean it with cloth
