  • Do not wrap the power cord around the iron, either before or after use.
  • Do not pull the power cord to disconnect the plug.
  • It is recommended not to use too frequently the button called “steam shock” (steam shot), because it decreases the temperature of the iron plate which may cause drips of water instead of steam.

FILLING THE TANK
The filling operation must be performed only when the plate has been cooled down and after having unplugged the unit from the electrical outlet. We recommend the use of demineralized water to prevent excessive fouling (not covered by warranty).

  1. Place the steam control knob (3) on “0”.
  2. Open the water tank lid (2).
  3. Raise the tip of the iron to avoid any leak of water during the operation.
  4. Enter the water up to the maximum level indicated with “MAX” on the tank (11).
  5. Close the lid (2).

TEMPERATURE SETTING
The following table provides a guideline on how to adjust the thermostat according to the international symbols printed on the clothing labels or according to the type of fabric.

  • It is recommended ironing clothes that require low temperatures first and then medium and high temperatures. This operation allows to save time since the ironing plate heats faster than it cools down.
  • When you do not know the composition, it is recommended to iron a non-visible part of the it, starting from the lowest temperature to find the most suitable temperature.
  • Sometimes the clothing becomes shiny, in this case you need to iron it on the inside not to ruin it. When ironing at maximum temperature (MAX), it is recommended to place a cloth between the ironing plate and the fabric.

Setting the temperature

  1. Place the iron vertically.
  2. Plug the device to the electrical outlet.
  3. Select the temperature regulator (10) according to the symbols shown on the previous page. The chosen symbol has to be aligned with the mark placed on the tank. The iron plate temperature control light shows that iron plate (8) is warming up. Wait until light turns off to start ironing.
Caution : While ironing, the control light lights up periodically indicating that the temperature is constant. If you lower the thermostat, do not start ironing until the iron temperature control light turns off.

STEAM IRONING
Before using the steam check that the water contained in the tank is enough. Adjust steam power using the control knob (3). Place the steam control knob between minimum and maximum depending on the amount of steam required and temperature.

Caution : the iron provides continuous steam only if it is held in a horizontal position and if the plate is hot. It is possible to stop the continuous jet of steam by placing the iron vertically or placing the steam control (3) to “0”. To avoid the dripping of water, it is recommended to only use steam at high temperatures.

STEAM JET – WATER SPRAY

Steam jet: press the steam-shot button (4) for having a vigorous jet of steam which can penetrate the fibers and soften even the most stubborn creases. Wait a few seconds before pressing. By pressing the button periodically is also possible to freshen up curtains, hanging clothes, etc …
Caution : the steam shot function can only be used at high temperatures; stop the jet when the temperature control light lights up, start again when it goes out.

Water spray: press the water spray button (5) slowly for having dense spray; press fast for vaporized spray.
Caution : make sure there is water in the tank. For delicate fibers it is advisable to moisten the article before using the spray. To prevent stains, do not use the spray over silk and synthetic fibers.

DRY IRONING
To perform dry ironing, move the steam regulator (3) in “0” position. In this position, the steam emission is disable, otherwise the water spray option is still unable.

CLEANING
Before cleaning any part of the product, ensure that the unit is unplugged from the electrical outlet and the ironing plate isn’t hot anymore. Any leftovers on the ironing plate can be removed with a damp cloth or with a non- abrasive detergents. Do not scrape the ironing plate with iron sponge or metal objects. The plastic parts can be cleaned with a damp cloth and neutral detergent, then wiped with a dry cloth. Do not immerse the unit in water.
