The Ultrasonic Distance Sensor Model No.: KUS550 Series is manufactured by Xi’an Zhizun International Trade Co., Ltd. It has the following features:

Electrical Connections
Analog Output : The analog output connections are as follows:

1 x Switch Output
The connections for the 1 x Switch output are as follows:

Note: The voltage range for the 1 x Switch output is 3.3v~30v.
The load capacity of the switch terminal is 1A and 60V. It supports independent logic two road switch output at most, and the two terminals can be connected at will.
2 x Switch Output
The connections for the 2 x Switch output are as follows:

Note: The voltage range for the 2 x Switch output is 3.3v~30v.
The load capacity of the switch terminal is 500mA@60V. It supports independent logic two road switch output at most, and the load capacity of the single road switch is reduced by half when both outputs are used.

Description of Sensor Functions
Analog Output: To use the analog output:
- Connect the sensor to the computer
- Set a near distance point D1
- Set a far distance point D2
- Set the voltage or current of D1 output
- Set the voltage or current of D2 output
- Set analog output to switch characteristic output
- Set the analog output to a linear output or switch output option
- Reset sensor to make the new parameters take effect
Switch Output
The Ultrasonic Sensor has 8 different switch output functions:
- Default window mode normally open
- Default window mode normally closed
- Default single point switch mode normally open
- Default single point switch mode normally closed
- Default single point hysteresis mode normally open
- Default single point hysteresis mode normally closed
- Default object detection mode normally open
- Default object detection mode normally closed

positive and negative poles, and can connect at will.

Description of Sensor Functions
Analog output
The analog output can be set through RS485 interface, the setting procedure is as follows,
- Step 1: connect the sensor to the computer through serial port debugging assistant or Modbus debugging assistant. Step 2: set a near distance point through RS485
- Step 3 : set a far distance point through RS485
- Step 4: set the output voltage or current of the near distance point
- Step 5: set the output voltage or current of the far distance point
- Step 6: set the analog output to the switch characteristic option
- Step 7: set the analog output to a linear output or switch output option
- Step 8: reset the sensor to make the new parameters take effect

There are 8 different functions
- Default window mode normally open

- Default single point hysteresis mode normally open

Digital output :RS485
There are 2 kinds of working style,
- One for auto measure, the sensor will measure the distance or level repeatedly, and the measurement period can be set by the UART. The measure result can be fetched every time.
- The other style is power save mode when the sensor is sleep, until the sensor received the inquiry command with pre-code. Communication protocol is modus-RTU.

Installation conditions
If the sensor is installed at the environment temperature fall below 0℃, It
should do well on the protective measures. In case of direct mounting of the
sensor in a through hole using the steel nuts, it has to be fixed at the
middle of the housing thread.
