Product Usage Instructions

Hand Termina

The Hand Terminal of the Automatic Calf Feeder provides a user-friendly interface to control and monitor various functions. Here are the usage instructions for the Hand Terminal:

Animal Control

To manage pre-sorted groups of calves registered at the feeder:

• Use the Animal search function to enter the number of a calf and confirm to view details about the selected calf.

Training

To teach young calves how to drink at the feeding station:

• Activate the pump to deliver a small sip of milk to the teat.

Automatic Feeding

To set up automatic feeding:

• Ensure that the feeder is in Auto mode.
• The green light indicates that the feeder is feeding automatically, while the flashing light warns of any issues without interrupting the feeding process.
• If there is no light, it means the feeder is in offline mode and no feeding is possible.

Manual Function

To start certain functions of the feeder manually and dispense an extra portion for calves:

• Press the Manual function button.

Accessing Important Settings:

To access important settings for the automatic feeder:

• Press the Main Menu button.

Animal Management

To manage animals registered at the calf feeder:

• Use the Animal list function to view a list of all animals registered at the feeder.
• Use the Star button to mark animals in the system or change the menu overview (small or large font).

    • Further settings, data back up and restoring, new installation of the program, Information for Cloud/ App connection
  • Cleaning
    • Start cleanings, establish cleaning times
  • Diagnosis
    • Diagnose function for all parts of the feeder
• Animal list
  • List of all animals registered at the calf feeder
• Star button
  • Use it to mark animals in the system or to change the overview of the menu (small or large font)
• Manual function
  • Start certain functions of the feeder manually and dispense an extra portion for calves
• Free assignable key
  • Choose the function of the key by user
• Delete
  • Use to delete warnings or bring up warnings to the foreground

Enter numbers 0-9

• This can be used to search animals or adjust settings

1. Go backward within the menu structure. You return to the starting menu by pressing this key multiple times.
2. Confirm your selection and open a menu or an input field.
3. Move the cursor upward or downward and choose items from a list, for example [yes] / [no].
4. You use this key to change the sign of a number, for example from +1 to -1. This is how you enter negative numbers.
5. Scroll between pages on the screen and jump to the start [<] or the end [>] of a list.

This checklist refers to the basic equipment of the calf feeder. Not all available functions of the automatic feeder or the extensions can be shown.
