Operating Your C4-R Heater
Unpack & inspect your C4-R Heater for damage – Do not use it if damaged. Check
all heating elements to make sure everything works and nothing was damaged
from shipping. If damaged from shipping does not use it and contact us
immediately at 877-565-7377.
Your C4-R Heater has four (4) 120volt plug-inlets for the heat elements. Two
(2) are located on each side of the C4-R Heater. Each heating element is 12
amps. Only one inlet can be plugged into a 15 or 20-amp (120-volt) circuit.
With (4) circuits you can achieve the full power of your C4R Heater.
(19,642 BTU’s).
It is not necessary to plugin all 4 heating elements to operate the heater.
Turning on your C4-R Heater:
First – Make sure the inlet with the green light is plugged in. This
provides power to the switches and thermostat controller. After plugging in
additional heating elements, turn on the fan with the green switch and then
turn on the heat elements with the orange switch. The orange switch is a
momentary switch that will engage the heat elements with a click and then
return to its original position.
Temperature Controller
Your C4-R heater comes with a state-of-the-art digital temperature controller
on 12’ of cable.
You must plug the temperature controller into the corresponding fitting on the
front of the unit.
Do not force the connection as the connection should be easy and smooth when
correctly lined up.
To change the high-temperature setting push the set button on the thermostat
controller and use the arrows to adjust the temperature up or down. Push the
set button when finished.
Place Heater in or out of drying area
Place the C4-R in the area you wish to heat. As the temperature in the drying
area rises, so will the temperature coming out of the C4-R. Connecting 3 or 4
cords will heat the airspace faster and may be necessary for colder
conditions. Limit the temperature to a maximum of 125 degrees Fahrenheit in
this setup.
You also can place the C4-R outside the area you wish to dry. Use 11” Mylar ducting or equivalent non-collapsible ducting. Duct the hot air into the drying chamber, tenting, crawlspace, etc.
Wall & Cabinet Drying
Your C4-R works easily with wall drying systems that attach to an air-mover.
Vent the heated air from the C4-R into the intake of the air-mover on the non-
motor side. The air-mover will then take the heated air and blow it into the
wall or cabinet, etc.
You can use contain the cabinets or walls with plastic sheeting and vent the
heated air from the C4-R into the containment. Make sure to place the
thermostat sensing cord inside the contained area for accurate temperature
control.
Attaching Ducting
Ducting is included with your C4-R. Also included is a reusable wire tie for
easy attachment and removal of the Ducting.
Using a Dehumidifier with your C4-R
You can place the dehumidifier in the same room with your C4-R. Make sure that
you set the high-temperature limit on your C4-R so that the temperature in the
drying area won’t exceed the manufacturer’s recommended working temperature of
the dehumidifier.
