Safety

Intended use

  • The shaver is intended exclusively for wet and dry face shaves and for trimming beards. The appliance must not be used for trimming or shaving artificial or animal hair.
  • Do not use the appliance outdoors.
  • The appliance is intended exclusively for private household use. It is not intended for commercial purposes.
  • The appliance must not be used for any applications other than those described. Use the original accessories only. Any other use or any modification of the appliance shall be considered as contrary to the intended use. We shall not assume any liability whatsoever for damages resulting from improper use or faulty operation.

Safety of children and persons

Warning!

There is a risk of suffocation for children when they play with packaging material!

Packaging material must away be kept away from children.

  • This appliance may be used by children of at least 8 years of age as well as by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or whose experience or knowledge is not sufficient, provided they are supervised or have received instruction to use the appliance safely and understand the dangers.
  • Children shall not play with the appliance.
  • Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are supervised.
  • Children under the age of 8 must be kept away from the appliance and the connecting cable.

General safety


Note:

To charge the battery, only use the removable mains adapter (type R, SW- 050090EUD) included in the appliance‘s scope of delivery.

Warning!
The appliance must only be used indoors.

  • The appliance must neither be charged nor used when the mains adapter, the connecting cable or the appliance is damaged or defective.
  • The appliance is operated with safety extra-low voltage (SELV) according to the data stated on the mains adapter‘s type plate. The appliance must only be used with the included mains adapter.
  • The power cord of this appliance cannot be replaced. If the cord of the appliance is damaged, the appliance must be scrapped.
  • Before connecting the appliance to the power supply, make sure the voltage and the frequency match the data stated on the mains adapter‘s type plate!
  • Only connect the appliance to an undamaged, properly installed and earthed wall socket.
  • Always place the appliance onto a flat surface so that it cannot fall down or into water.
  • In order to avoid injury, do not use the appliance when the shaving system or the precision trimmer is damaged. Never use the appliance without its shaving system.
  • When you do not use the appliance, or when you clean or charge it, switch it off and remove the mains adapter from the wall socket.

SymbolWarning!
Do not use this appliance in the vicinity of bathtubs, shower tubs, sinks or any other vessels containing water or other liquids.

The symbol on the appliance indicates that some parts of the shaver may be rinsed under running water.

  • WARNING: The handheld part must be disconnected from the connecting cable before cleaning it with water.
  • Never touch the mains adapter with wet hands, especially when you plug it into, or remove it from, the socket. There is a risk of electric shock!
  • Before removing the shaving system, always disconnect the mains adapter from the socket and remove the connector plug.
  • The appliance, the mains adapter and the connecting cable must not be immersed in water or other liquids and never be rinsed under running water.
  • WARNING: Keep the appliance dry.
  • Before charging the appliance, verify that it is dry.
  • Observe the “Cleaning and care” section.

Before first use

  • Before using the appliance for the first time, remove all packaging materials.
  • Clean the appliance thoroughly before using it for the first time (refer to the “Cleaning and care” section).

How to charge the battery (figure 1 )

Caution!

  • Do not expose the appliance to direct sunlight or heat. The ambient temperature should range between 5 and 35°C.

  • Only use the included mains adapter to charge the appliance. Independent of the battery‘s state of charge, you can always use the appliance when it is connected to the mains When the red plug symbol flashes on the display, the battery must be charged.

  • Verify that the appliance is switched off before charging the battery.

  • Connect the mains adapter to an undamaged, properly installed and earthed wall socket.

  • Attach the connector plug to the underside of the appliance.

  • The plug symbol appears on the display, indicating that the battery is being charged.

  • When charging the appliance, place it onto a flat surface so that it cannot fall down.

  • Before using the appliance for the first time, charge the battery for at least 90 minutes.

  • It takes approx. 90 minutes (maximum charging time) to fully charge the battery.
    The green battery symbol flashes on the display; the plug symbol is still visible.

  • A fully charged battery will last for approx. 60 minutes of cordless shaving.

  • Upon completion of the charging process, remove the connector plug and disconnect the mains adapter from the socket.

Shaving and Trimming

Caution!
Do not use the appliance on: skin wounds, inflamed skin, sunburned skin, spots and blisters

Caution!
Do not use the appliance when the shaving unit or the precision trimmer is damaged!

Caution!
The appliance is not waterproof! When using the appliance for wet shaving, only operate it in cordless mode and never under the shower or in the bathtub.

Caution!
Use neither shaving gel nor shaving foam as these products can create clogging of the shaving foils and blades.

Note:
When switching methods of shaving, you may notice temporary skin reddening or irritation during the first 2–4 weeks, as the skin must first get accustomed to the new treatment.

Note:
Clean the appliance after each use (refer to the “Cleaning and care” section).

Shaving tips

  • For dry shaving: We recommend that you wash your face after shaving.
  • For wet shaving: Moisten your face and apply a thin layer of shaving foam.

How to switch on the appliance (figure 2 )

  • Switch on the appliance by briefly pressing the on/off button.
    • A blue battery symbol will light up on the display.
    • When you operate the shaver while it is connected to the mains, the display remains blank.
  • To switch off the appliance, briefly press the on/off button again.
    • The battery symbol disappears.

How to shave

  • If required, pull the protective cap/3-day stubble attachment off the shaving head.
  • Use the on/off button to switch on the appliance.
  • Holding the appliance at a right angle to your skin, move it across the areas to be shaved.
  • To achieve a better result, use your free hand to stretch the skin in the more tricky areas (e.g. your chin).
  • Shave against the direction of beard growth.
  • After use, switch off the appliance by briefly pressing the on/off button.

How to use the precision trimmer (figure 3 )

The precision trimmer on the rear of the appliance makes it possible to trim moustaches, for instance.

  • Locate the precision trimmer on the rear of the appliance and slide it all the way up until it locks into place.
  • Use the on/off button to switch on the appliance.
  • Carefully move the precision trimmer towards the ends of the hair to be clipped then trim it into the desired shape.
  • After use, switch off the appliance by briefly pressing the on/off button.
  • Slide the precision trimmer all the way down until it locks into place.

3-day stubble shave (figure 4 )

Using the 3-day stubble attachment, you can trim your beard to a length of approx. 3 mm.

  • When attaching this accessory to the shaving head, make sure that it is firmly seated.
  • Proceed as described in the “How to shave” section.

Travel lock

The travel lock keeps the appliance from switching on accidentally.

  • • To enable the travel lock, press and hold the on/off button for approx. 3 seconds.
    When doing so, the appliance will switch on. Once the travel lock has been enabled, the appliance will switch off again.

    • The green battery symbol will flash on the display for a few seconds.
      After that, the display will turn off.
  • To disable the travel lock, press and hold the on/off button for approx. 3 seconds.

    • The appliance will switch on.

Note:
The travel lock will also be disabled when you connect the appliance to the mains.

Cleaning and care

The appliance must be cleaned after each use.
The symbol on the appliance indicates that some parts of the shaver may be rinsed under running water.

Warning!
Risk of electric shock due to moisture! The appliance, the mains adapter and the connecting cable must neither be immersed in water nor rinsed under running water.

Caution!

  • Before rinsing the blades and the shaving head under running water, verify that the appliance is switched off and disconnected from the mains.
  • In order not to damage the surface of the appliance, use neither scouring sponges nor abrasive cleaning agents.

How to clean the appliance

  • Before cleaning the appliance, switch if off and disconnect it from the mains.
  • The outside of the appliance must only be cleaned with a soft and slightly damp cloth. Once finished, make sure that you dry it thoroughly.

How to clean the shaving system

  • Before cleaning the appliance, switch if off and disconnect it from the mains.
  • If required, remove the 3-day stubble attachment.

a) After dry shaving (figures 5 + 6 )

  • Press the small unlocking buttons (1) located on both sides of the appliance then remove the shaving head (G) (2).
  • To remove the hair caught between the blades, either blow it off or carefully tap the shaving head and, if required, the 3-day stubble attachment on a flat surface.
  • If required, use the cleaning brush.
  • Press the large unlocking button (3) on the side of the appliance.
    • The shaving head holder unfolds.
  • With the shaving head holder unfolded, turn on the shaver and leave it switched on for a few seconds to loosen any shaving remnants from the blades.
  • Switch off the shaver.
  • Fold the shaving head holder back until it locks into place with an audible click.
  • When attaching the shaving head (G) to the shaver, make sure that the locking mechanism snaps into place with an audible click.

Note:

If required after dry shaving, the blades, the shaving head and the 3-day stubble attachment may also be rinsed under running water (refer to section “b) After wet shaving”).

b) After wet shaving (figure 7 )

  • Remove the shaving head and unfold the shaving head holder as described in section “a) After dry shaving”.
  • Carefully rinse the shaving head, the blades, the upper part of the shaver and, if required, the 3-day stubble attachment under warm, running water.
  • Turn on the shaver and leave it switched on for a few seconds so as to shake any water droplets off the blades.
  • Switch off the shaver.
  • Carefully dry the shaving head, the 3-day stubble attachment and the upper part of the shaver with a lint-free cloth or a paper towel. When doing so, make sure that you do not dent the shaving foils.
  • Fold the shaving head holder back until it locks into place with an audible click.
  • When attaching the shaving head to the shaving head holder, make sure that the locking mechanism snaps into place with an audible click.

How to care for the shaving foils and precision trimmer

Depending on how often you use the appliance, apply a small amount of oil to the shaving foils and the precision trimmer at intervals of approx. 2 months.

  • With your finger tips, spread a drop of non-resinous, delicate household oil across the shaving foils.
  • Apply a drop of oil to the cutting edges of the precision trimmer.
  • Use a lint-free cloth or a paper towel to carefully dab off any excess oil. When doing so, do not apply any pressure.

Storage

  • Before storing the appliance, attach the protective cap.
  • Store the appliance and the accessories in a clean, dust-free and dry place.
  • When transporting the appliance or storing it for a longer period of time, put it in the included storage pouch.

Note:
The storage pouch is intended for the appliance only, not for the accessories.

Spare parts (figures 5/G + 8/H )

The shaving parts are subject to natural wear and tear and are thus excluded from warranty. In order to ensure ideal shaving results, it is indispensable that they be replaced in due time.

When using the appliance on a daily basis, the shaving system should be replaced every 12 months.

How to replace the shaving system

  • Remove the shaving head (figure 5/G) and unfold the shaving head holder as described in the “How to clean the shaving system” section.
  • To remove the two blades (figure 8/H), carefully pull them off the holders one after the other.
  • Attach the new blades to the holders. The blades must always be replaced in pairs.
  • Fold the shaving head holder back until it locks into place with an audible click.
  • When attaching the shaving head to the shaving head holder, make sure that the locking mechanism snaps into place with an audible click.

Disposal

How to dispose of the packaging

The product packaging is made from recyclable materials. Discard the packaging materials according to their marking by bringing them to the public collection points and/or as stipulated by the country-specific provisions.

How to dispose of old appliances

If you do not want to use the electric appliance any longer, bring it to a public collection point for electronic waste where it will be taken care of free of charge. Electronic waste must under no circumstances be discarded along with residual waste (see symbol).

How to dispose of the battery

Symbol Waste batteries containing lithium pose a fire hazard. That is why it is important to ensure that disposable and rechargeable waste batteries containing lithium are disposed of properly. Before discarding the appliance, it is required to remove the battery. Have the battery removed by independent technicians.

Professionals may request the removal instructions from the importer: support@aquariusservice.com. Disposable and rechargeable batteries which are not firmly installed in the appliance must be removed before disposal, and be disposed of separately. Disposable and rechargeable batteries must only be handed over when discharged! *) marked with: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead.
