Description
- WIRELESS 2.0 is the wireless racing system for Carrera DIGITAL124 and Carrera DIGITAL 132.
- The 2.4 GHz remote control technology with frequency hopping capability is interference-free and has a range of up to 15 m. With a conventional AAA 500 mA battery or corresponding conventional AAA rechargeable battery, it offers up to 20 hours of play-time.
- WIRELESS 2.0 enables wireless freedom for up to 4 drivers (with Digital 124) or 6 drivers (with Digital 132) on the racetrack.
Before using it for the first time
- Before using the hand-held controller for the first time, insert a conventional AAA battery or rechargeable AAA battery into the controller.
- To do this, unscrew the battery compartment on the bottom of the hand-held controller. Then, insert the battery in the designated direction.
- Finally, screw the lid of the battery compartment back on.
- If using a rechargeable AAA battery, take the battery out of the hand-held controller for charging, and charge it using a conventional AAA charger (not included).
- AAA batteries are not included.
Connecting the receiver
- Connect the WIRELESS 2.0 receiver to one of the two ports on the control unit labeled Tower 1 and Tower 2.
- Refer to the drawing below. It does not matter whether the receiver is connected to the black box 20030344 or the control unit 20030352.
- Only one WIRELESS 2.0 receiver is required to operate up to 6 WIRELESS 2.0 hand-held controllers.
Binding-Prozess
- To control the cars, the hand-held controllers need to be “bound” to the receiver one time.
- To do this, switch on the track.
- The receiver is ready when the seven-segment display spins around 1.
- Press the SET button 2 once until the number 1 appears in the seven-segment display 1. The displayed number will later be the address of the car. Press the button again to switch to the next address. Then press the binding button 3 on the top of the hand-held controller. The handheld controller indicates that the binding process has been completed with a flashing LED, while the seven-segment display on the receiver spins around. The binding process is then complete, and the hand-held controller is ready to use.
- To connect the second hand-held controller, follow the same procedure. Press the SET-button 2 on the receiver twice, until the number 2 appears 1 . Then press the binding button 3 on the second hand-held controller. Once the binding process is complete, the cars can be coded on the corresponding hand-held controllers. To code the cars, set the speed, set the braking behavior and the tank volume, and also refer to the operating manual for the control unit or the car manual.
- To display the address set for the controller, press the binding button 2 on the top of the controller one time. The LED 1 flashes to indicate the set address. When left idle, the hand-held controller automatically switches to power saving mode after approx. 20 seconds. Press the plunger or lane button to reactivate the controller.
Troubleshooting
In case of malfunctions, please check the following:
- Does the AAA battery have enough charge left?
- Is the controller bound to the receiver?
- Does the controller have a duplicate address assignment?
