When Using in Vehicle:

Care and Maintenance
Stop the operation and unplug the USB-DC cable from the unit before cleaning.
- Filter Replacement: Replacement is required approximately every 3 to 6 months, depending on the operating environment. (g) Replacement filter KS-GA10F (optionally available). Note: Charges apply for consumables during the warranty period as well. (h) This side up.
- Maintenance of the Unit: Wipe with a silicone or soft cloth.

Installation and wiring
WARNING
- Do not use this unit on vehicles except those that are equipped with a DC12V / DC24V supply. This may cause a fire or malfunction.
- Never install or wire the unit in a location that will obstruct the operation of the air bag. The air bag may malfunction, resulting in a fatal accident. When installing the unit in a vehice fitted with air bags, check the work precau- tions with the vehicle manufacturer,
- Do not install the unit in a location that may interfere with the visibility or driving operation, or in a location that may pose a danger to passengers. This may result in a traffic accident or injury.
- After installing and wiring the unit, check that the electrical equipment of the vehide is working properly.
- When the electrical equipment (meters, brake lamps, etc) of the vehide is used in an abnormal operating condition, this may cause a hire or traffic accident.
- Do not use the unit if it is plugged in very loosely or very firmly into the accessory socket. The USB car charger of the unit may not fit the size of the accessory socket depending on the vehice model, resulting in an electric shock, short circuit or fire.
- Plug in the cable securely. If the cable cannot be plugged in securely, this may result in a hre or electric shock due to poor contact.
- Do not place the unit in a place within the reach of infants and children.
- The cable may be wound around the neck of the infant or child by mistake, causing asphyxiation.
- Install and wire the unit according to the instruction manual. If not, this may cause a fire or malfunction. Cary out the work correctly in accordance with the procedure.
- Be sure to use the enclosed parts or specified parts. The unit may be dam- aged or you may not be able to secure it properly, resulting in the unit

- When unplugging the USB car charger, hold the plug securely to unplug it. If not, this may damage the cable or result in a fire or electric shock.
- Unplug the USB car charger after use or when you are not going to use it for a long time.
- Depending on the vehicle model, the power supply of the accessory socket may not be turned off even if the engine is turned off. This may cause a fire or the battery to heat up.
- Clean the USB car charger regularly. When dust sticks to the USB car charger, this may result in a fire.
- Do not insert or remove the USB car charger with wet hands This may result in an electric shock
CAUTION
- Do not install the unit in a place where it may be splashed by water, or where there is a lot of moisture and oil. When water, oil fumes, etc. get inside the unit, this may result in fuming or a fire or malfunction.
- Do not install the unit in a location exposed to direct sunlight or hot air from a heater. The internal temperature of the unit may rise, resulting in a fire or malfunction.
- Be careful with the handling of the cable. Do not damage the cable, pull, bend, twist or modify the cable unreasonably, put heavy objects on it, or lay
- It near thermal devices. This may result in a fire, electric shock or malfunction due to a disconnection or short circuit.
- Do not block the suction inlet and air outlet of the unit. Heat may build up inside the unit, resulting in a fire or malfunction,

How to use the unit
WARNING
- Do not disassemble, repair or modify the unit. Never disassemble, repair or modify the unit, or cut off the cable sheathing to draw power from otherdevices. This may result in a traffic accident, fire, electric shock or malfunction.
- Do not allow water or foreign matter to get inside the unit. When metallic objects or flammable materials etc, get inside the unit, this may result in a fire, fuming, ignition or electic shock due to a malfunction or short circult
- Be careful not to let drinks etc, splash onto the unit.
- Do not use the unit in a faulty or abnormal condition. If foreign matter gets into the unit, or water is splashed onto the unit, or smoke, abnormal noises or odors appear, stop using the unit immediately. This may result in an acd- dent, fire or electric shock.
- The driver should not operate the unit or look at the images and displays while driving. Always stop the vehicle in a safe place and use the unit with the side brake engaged. If not, this may result in a trafficaccident.
- When you hear thunder, do not touch the cable and the unit. This may result in an electricshock due to a lightning strike.
CAUTION
- Do not throw the unit, or subject it to shock. This may result in a fire, injury or malfunction.
- Do not use or leave the unit in a place that is exposed to high temperature and humidity e.q. near a fire, stove or bathroom. This may result in overheat- ing, fire or cracks.
- Before use, check for any cigarette residue or dust inside the accessory socket.
- If there is any foreign substance inside, this may result in poor conductivity, causing overheating, fire or injury.
- Check each connection before use. Do not use the unit if it is stained with dust etc., or if the connectors, connection terminals, etc, are deformed or damaged. This may result in a short circuit or fire.
- When the unit is in operation with the vehide key pulled out or with the engine switch turned off, pull out the connector from the USB port. If not, this may cause a fire or the battery to heat up. Inquiries when there is a fault

- Stop use immediately if a fault occurs and be sure to consult your JVC dealer.
- If you continue to use the product, this may result in an unforeseen accident fire or electric shock.
Troubleshooting guide
- Power cannot be turned on ( BUTTON indicator does not light).
- Connect the USB-DC cable all the way and firmly.
- Insert the USB car charger to the accessory socket with the engine running.
- Not enough air is output. / The unit emits a bad smell.
- The unit or filter is dirty. Replace the filter with a new one. ( RIGHT “Care and maintenance)
- The operation does not stop although the engine of the vehicle is switched OFF. / The unit does not operate in conjunction with the engine.
- In a vehicle where the power is supplied to the accessory socket even if the engine of the vehicle is switched OFF, the engine inter-locking function cannot be used. To prevent battery rise, remove the USB car charger from the accessory socket.
- There is a ‘lee” sound from the unit.
- There is a slight sound when ions is taking place. This is not a malfunction.
- There is an abnormal sound from the unit.
- A malfunction has occurred on this unit. Consult vour IC dealer.
Operation
When using in-vehicle
- Separate the unit from electronic key of vehicle by 30 cm or more. Otherwise, it may interfere with the electronic wave of the unit and the electronic key may not be recognized.
- Keep the unit away from the vehicles in-glass antenna. Otherwise, it may cause noise on the radio.
- The unit may be scratched by the vibrations of the vehicle.
- Insert the USB car charger to the accessory socket with the engine running. Also, unplug the USB car charger before turning off the engine. Otherwise, a malfunction could result.

Product or the defective part of the Product to be repaired by providing to
any JVCKENWOOD Authorised Service Centre for JVC products in Australia or New
Zealand (as applicable to country of purchase) free of charge parts necessary
to correct any defect in material or workmanship. JCKENWOOD reserves the right
to replace defective parts of the Product with parts and components of similar
quality, grade and composition where an identical part or component is not
available. Products presented for repair may be replaced by refurbished
products of the same type rather than being repaired. Refurbished parts may be
used to repair the goods.
WARRANTY PERIOD
The JVC brand car stereo and personal audio components are expressly warranted
for a period of ONE YEAR from the date of the original purchase.
CONDITIONS OF THE EXPRESS WARRANTY
The following are not covered by this express warranty:
- Voltage conversions;
- Cabinets, grilles, other exterior finishes, belts, tape heads, and other nondurable parts and accessories;
- Any fault caused by faulty installation, water damage, the vehicle (including its electronic system) or connection to an incorrect power supply;
- Periodic check-ups which do not disclose any defects covered by this warranty,
- Products on which the serial number has been defective, modified, or removed;
- Products that have been subject to abnormal conditions, including environment, temperature, water, fire, humidity, pressure, stress or similar;
- Alleged defects that are within acceptable industry variances;
- Damage or deterioration:
- a. Resulting from installation and/or removal of the product.
- b. Resulting from accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, unauthorized product modification or failure to follow instructions contained in the Owner’s Manual.
- c. Resulting from installation of parts or accessories that do not conform to the quality or specifications of the original parts or accessories.
- d. Occurring during shipment (claims must be present to the shipper); and
- Damaged magnetic tapes.
The warranty does not extend to:
- Installation and removal charges; or
- Shipping charges to or from an authorized JVCKENWOOD Service Centre for JVC products.
PROCEDURE WHEN REQUESTING SERVICE UNDER THE WARRANTY
- When requesting service under the JVCKENWOOD warranty, preferably make your Product available for inspection and testing to the dealer from whom you made the purchase, or to the nearest Authorised JVCKENWOOD Service Centre for JVC products, or ship your Product in its original packaging, or equivalent, with shipping charges and insurance prepaid, to the Authorised JCKENWOOD Service Centre for JVC products. - The warranty record in the back of this page; a valid purchase docket is attached; and a detailed description of the problem encountered, including details of any problems that relate to associated equipment.

used for replacement are warranted only for the remainder of the Warranty
Period. All products may be brought to a JVC authorized service center on a
carry-in basis.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED:
This limited warranty provided by JVC does not cover:
- Products which have been subject to abuse, accident, alteration, modification, tampering, negligence, misuse, faulty installation, lack of reasonable care, or it repaired or serviced by anyone other than a service facility authorized by JVC to render such service, or it affixed to any attachment not provided with the products, or if the model or serial number has been altered, tampered with, defaced or removed;
- Initial installation, installation and removal from cabinets or mounting systems.
- Operational adjustments covered in the Owner’s Manual, normal maintenance, video and audio head cleaning:
- Damage that occurs in shipment, due to act of God, and cosmetic damage;
- Signal reception problems and failures due to line power surge:

WARRANTY
Warranty applies only to products distributed in Canada by JVCKENWOOD
CANADA INC. JVCKENWOOD CANADA INC. (hereafter called “JVC*) gives the
following express warranty for each new JVC product distributed in Canada by
JVC and sold by an authorized JVC dealer. JVC warrants that this JVC product
is free, under normal use and maintenance, from any defects in material and
workmanship subject to the following terms and conditions:

- (a) JVC products requiring service must be presented together with proof of purchase.
- (b) The JVC product must be brought in for service to an authorized JVC Service Centre.

Limitation:
This Warranty shall not apply to:- (a) Repair or replacement of any cabinets, batteries, plates, connection cords, antennas, dust covers, knobs, speaker grills, speaker cones, projection screens, projection screen savers, and all accessories.
- (b) Any defects caused or repairs required as a result of misuse, abusive operation, negligence, improper use and/or insufficient care.
- (c) Any defect caused or repairs required as a result of not following the instructions in the operation manual.
- (d) Any JVC product tampered with, adjusted or repaired by any party other than JVC or authorized JVC Service Centre personnel.
- (e) Any JVC products on which the serial number has been defaced, modified or removed.

This Guarantee Certificate is valid only if the form in page 1 is filled in

JVC European Guarantee is only applicable in the European countries listed
below. The guarantee service will be provided in accordance with the guarantee
terms and conditions (including the period of guarantee coverage) in the
country where the product was originally purchased (see the country list
below).
U.K. & IRELAND
Subject to the conditions stated below. JVCKENWOOD U.K. guarantees, this equipment through its authorized dealership, only against defects in workmanship or materials of its mechanical and electronic component parts (excluding styli, battery cells, magnetic tapes, re-chargeable batteries, user removable memory devices, and HD-ILA Lamps.) for the period of one year from the date of purchase. No charge will be made during this period for labour or for replacement parts for the consumer goods related to this guarantee.
Guarantee
- This Guarantee Certificate is valid only if the Model Name and Serial Number”, Date of Purchase, Dealer’s Name and Address” and “Customer’s Name and
- Address” are filled in by the dealer selling the unit. Claims under this guarantee should be made through the authorized dealer from whom the equipment was purchased. If this is not possible, for example if the dealer from whom you purchased the product is no longer trading, arrangements will be made through JVC Europe with another JVC authorised dealer.
- In the event that you require guarantee service whilst the unit is being used in another country within those European countries listed in page 3, you should initially contact the JVC distributor of this equipment in that country whose number can be found in the relevant part of this booklet. You have to present the valid guarantee certificate and the receipt proving the purchase of this product with your claim.
- This guarantee excludes
- all damage caused through accident, misuse, wear and tear, neglect, installation andior use in a manner inconsistent with technical and safety standards in a country other than the country of purchase.
- alterations or adjustments made to the equipment (whether or not such alterations or adjustments are for the purpose of making the equipment conform to the technical and safety standards in force in another European country or otherwise).
- Loss of data resultant from malfunction of hard drive or other storage device.
- No liability under this guarantee shall be incurred: In respect of damage or loss occurring during transit to or from the purchaser
- Where the serial number plate of the equipment has been removed or altered in any way.
- This guarantee is only valid when the equipment is purchased and retained within the United Kingdom or any other countries listed on page 3.
- JVC shall not be liable for consequential damage, loss or injury arising from or in connection with the equipment, excepting only that nothing in this condition shallor shall be construed so as to exclude or restrict liability for negligence.
- The cost of carriage to and from the JVC dealer/distributor shall be borne by the Puns guarantee is personal to the original purchaser and is not transferable.
- If the equipment, in respect of which a claim hereunder is made, is found on examination to comply with the published specifications, a test fee will be incurred.
- No dealer has any authority to vary the terms of this guarantee.
This guarantee is in addition to and does not in any way affect any statutory or other rights of consumer purchasers, including those rights in relation to sections 13 to 15 of the Sale of Goods Act 1979, the Sale and Supply of Goods to Consumers Regulations 2002, The Consumer Rights Act 2015 (for the UK) or the Sale of Goods and Supply of Services Act 1980 (for the Republic of Ireland). We advise the purchaser to attach this guarantee to the receipt.
