Product Information: 4K PTZ Remote Camera (NDI|HX)

The KY-PZ510NW/NB is a 4K PTZ remote camera that supports NDI|HX3. It comes with firmware v2.0.92 which provides various features such as NDI settings, H.265/HEVC support, and more. The camera can be updated with v2.0.92 to enable NDI|HX3 feature.

Firmware v2.0.92

The firmware v2.0.92 provides new features and settings for the KY-PZ510 series. The firmware version can be confirmed on the View Remote Screen after updating.

Updating the Firmware

To update the firmware, please refer to the original KY-PZ510 series instruction manual and follow the instructions provided in it.

NDI|HX3 Settings

After updating the firmware to v2.0.92, NDI|HX3 feature can be enabled on the KY-PZ510NW/KY-PZ510NB cameras. When setting the Video Format to 29.97p, 30p, 59.94p, 60p, 59.94i, or 60i, you can select NDI|HX3:H.264 1080@60 or NDI|HX3:H.265 1080@60 for streaming. And when setting the Video Format to 25p, 50p, or 50i, you can select NDI|HX3:H.264 1080@50 or NDI|HX3:H.265 1080@50 for streaming.

Note that the bit rate will be high and you need to check your network bandwidth. Some decoders may not be supported. The format is 1080p only.

NDI Settings Menu

The NDI Settings menu is available only for KY-PZ510NB/KY-PZ510NB cameras. It allows you to set the channel name, NDI Discovery Server, NDI Discovery Server Address, NDI Multicast Server, NDI Multicast Server Address, NDI Multicast Mask, and NDI Multicast TTL.

The NDI multicast address and NDI multicast mask set the range of multicast addresses that are randomly set when performing NDI multicast distribution.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Update the firmware to v2.0.92 by following the instructions provided in the original KY-PZ510 series instruction manual.
  2. To enable NDI|HX3 feature, select NDI|HX3:H.264 1080@60 or NDI|HX3:H.265 1080@60 for streaming when setting the Video Format to 29.97p, 30p, 59.94p, 60p, 59.94i, or 60i. And select NDI|HX3:H.264 1080@50 or NDI|HX3:H.265 1080@50 for streaming when setting the Video Format to 25p, 50p, or 50i.
  3. Check your network bandwidth before using the NDI feature as the bit rate will be high and some decoders may not be supported.
  4. If you have a KY-PZ510NB/KY-PZ510NB camera, you can access the NDI Settings menu to customize your settings.

Note

  • v2.0.92 is for KY-PZ510 series.
  • If you update KY-PZ510NW/KY-PZ510NB with v2.0.92, you can use NDI|HX3.

    Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liguid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.

  • The NDI multicast address and NDI multicast mask set the range of multicast addresses that are randomly set when performing NDI multicast distribution.
  • Example: If the NDI multicast address is set to 239.255.0.10 (Default) and the NDI multicast mask is set to 255.255.0.0 (Default), multicast addresses for video and audio will be randomly selected from the range of 239.255.0.0 to 239.255.255.255.
