IMPORTANT TIPS
Your humidifier must have the correct amount of water in the inner chamber to work properly. If there is too much water in the inner chamber, the humidifier cannot create mist.

  • Never pour water directly into the inner chamber. Only add water to the water tank. [Figure 4.1] The humidifier will automatically release the correct amount of water into the inner chamber.
    levoit LV600HH Ultrasonic Humidifier - figure 5

  • Avoid moving or shaking the humidifier. [Figure 4.2] This may cause the water tank to release too much water into the inner chamber.
    levoit LV600HH Ultrasonic Humidifier - figure 4

  • Before moving the humidifier, turn it off, unplug it, and remove the water tank.

  • If your humidifier doesn’t produce mist correctly, there may be too much water  n the inner chamber. Pour out the water in the inner chamber, refill the tank, and place the tank back on the base. [Figure 4.3]levoit LV600HH Ultrasonic Humidifier - figure 6

The water tank may leak if not placed properly on the base.

  • Make sure the silicone ring around the water tank cap is secure at all times. [Figure 4.4]
  • Twist and secure the cap tightly onto the water tank. [Figure 4.5]levoit LV600HH Ultrasonic Humidifier - figure 8 Note: A small gap between the cap and the tank is normal.
  • Before moving the humidifier, remove the tank from the base and empty any excess water from the inner chamber of the base.
  • Wipe off any excess water on the top and bottom of the base.
  • Do not shake the humidifier or place it on an inclined surface. Make sure to place the humidifier on a flat, level surface. [Figure 4.6]levoit LV600HH Ultrasonic Humidifier - figure 9

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem Possible Solution
Little or no mist comes Plug in the humidifier and turn it on.

Fill the water tank.
Clean the humidifier (see Care & Maintenance, page 16).
Water may be in the air vent. Take the water tank off and allow the vent to fully air dry before using again.
Clean the humidifier, especially the nozzles and transducer (see  Care & Maintenance, page 16). Make sure nothing is blocking the air vent.
There may be too much water in the inner chamber. Empty the inner chamber. Refill the water tank (not the inner chamber) and place the water tank properly onto the base.
Humidifier uses water| The humidifier uses up water based on the environmental temperature and humidity. If your environment is cold and/or dry, the humidifier will run out of water faster.
Using the warm mist function will use up water faster.
Humidifier produces an unusual smell.| If the humidifier is new, remove the water tank cap and place the water tank in a cool, dry place for 12 hours.
If essential oils were diffused, rinse the aroma pad and allow it to dry.
Clean the humidifier (see Care & Maintenance, page 16).
Humidifier makes a loud or unusual noise.| Make sure the water tank is properly in place (see Getting Started, page 8).
Place humidifier on a flat, level surface.
Fill the water tank.
When using the warm mist function, the heating element will make a gurgling noise if the water level is low. Add more water to the water tank.
The humidifier may be malfunctioning. Stop using the humidifier and contact Customer Support (see page 25).
Mist leaks from the base.| Make sure the water tank is properly in place (see Getting Started, page 8).
Water visibly leaks from the humidifier.| Stop using the humidifier and see Important Tips (page 15) before using again. If the humidifier continues leaking, contact Customer Support (see page 25).
White dust appears around or in the humidifier.| This is caused by minerals in the water. Use purified or distilled water to fill the humidifier. Avoid using water with high mineral content.
Clean the humidifier every week (see Care & Maintenance, page 16).
The area around the humidifier is damp or wet.| If the humidifier has been used for a long period of time, moisture may collect around it. Place a towel or mat underneath the humidifier when using it for long periods of time.
Run the humidifier on a lower mist setting.
Open a window to ensure proper airflow for the humidifier, or move the humidifier to a more well-ventilated room.
Make sure the water tank is properly in place (see Getting Started, page 8).
When replacing the water tank, wipe off excess water from the water tank and base.
Follow the steps to address leaks in Important Tips (page 15). If the humidifier is still leaking, contact Customer Support (see page 25).
Mist is not warm after pressing .| Allow the humidifier to heat up for about 15 minutes to produce warm mist.
Clean the heating element (see Care & Maintenance, page 16).
The mist is warm on the cool mist setting.| The heating element may still be warm after being used for warm mist. Allow the heating element to cool for at least 30 minutes.
Essential oils don’t smell strongly enough.| The aroma is intended to be light. This humidifier is not an aroma diffuser.
The humidity level isn’t changing in my room.| Use a higher mist level setting.
Depending on your environment, the humidifier may take longer to humidify your air.
The humidifier has a maximum effective range of 430–753 ft² / 40–70 m². If the room is larger, the humidifier will not be as effective.
Incorrect humidity percentage is displayed.| The room may be larger than the humidifier’s effective range. Move to a room smaller than 430–753 ft² / 40–70 m².
Moisture may have built up inside of the humidity sensor. Turn off the humidifier and allow the sensor to air dry. Make sure the nozzles are facing away from the sensor (see Getting Started, page 8).
If the humidifier is placed within 12 inches / 30 cm of a wall or in a corner, the humidity sensor cannot provide a proper reading for the relative humidity in the room.
The humidity sensor will give an improper reading if it is exposed to dust. Avoid using the humidifier in dusty rooms.
If the display always shows either 30% or 90% RH when you start the humidifier, the humidity sensor is malfunctioning. Contact Customer Support (see page 25).
The humidifier does not respond to the remote.| Move remote control to within 16 ft / 5 m of the humidifier.
Remove the plastic tab from the remote’s battery compartment.
Change the battery (see Replacing the Remote Control Battery, page 19).
