SAFETY INFORMATION
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Please read ALL instructions carefully before using it for the first time. We
recommend that you keep the manual for future reference, even if you are
familiar with the product. The basic safety precautions should always be
followed. Failure to comply with this manual may cause fire, electric shock,
damage to the electrical appliance, and serious injury.
SAFETY USE & CARE
- HOUSEHOLD Use Only. The manufacturer is not responsible for any injury or damage resulting from incorrect use or handling (see Warranty).
- DO NOT use the appliance for anything other than its intended use.
- DO NOT immerse the cord, plug, or any part of the toaster in water or other liquid.
- Close supervision is necessary when it is used by or near children. Wait for the toaster to cool down before moving, putting on, or taking off parts.
- Children under ages 8 and younger or by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge should NOT use this toaster. Unless they are supervised or are given instruction concerning the use of this appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children should NOT play with the appliance.
- DO NOT place any part of this appliance on or near a hot area. For example, hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
- DO NOT allow the cord to hang over the edge of a table/counter, where it may be tripped over or pulled by children or pets.
- Always operate the product on a flat, stable surface.
- Keep the toaster away from curtains and other flammable items as it can catch fire. The toaster should not be left unattended while in operation.
- DO NOT insert the oversize food, metal foil packages, or any utensils in the toaster as they may cause fire or electric shock.
- DO NOT attempt to dislodge food when the toaster is plugged in.
- DO NOT force bread into the toasting slots. Bent, damaged or broken bread slices are not recommended to put into the toaster as it may get jammed in the slot.
- DO NOT toast bread slices that have been buttered. Take extra care when toasting items that contain sugar, jam, preserves, raisins, or other bits of fruit, as there is a risk of overheating.
- DO NOT cover anything on top of the toaster while it is operating.
- If smoke comes out of the slots or the bread crumbles or bends in the slots, then immediately cancel the toasting process by pressing the CANCEL button and unplug the toaster.
- Always allow the toaster to be completely cooled before handling, cleaning, and storing.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
- Plug the appliance into a 120V, 60Hz supply only. Check if the local power supply voltage matches the voltage of electrical appliances before use. Connecting it to other power sources may damage the appliance and will invalidate the warranty.
- Ensure that the cord is fully extended.
- Always unplug the appliance from the socket, when not in use, and before cleaning.
- DO NOT operate the toaster if the cord or plug is damaged or the appliance has malfunctioned or the appliance has been damaged in any manner.
- Check regularly that neither cord nor plug is damaged and do not use if they are, or if the appliance has been dropped or damaged in any other way.
- DO NOT attempt to repair the appliance yourself. If the appliance or plug is damaged, repaired by qualified service personnel, otherwise there is a risk of electric shock.

TOASTER OPERATION
FOR THE FIRST TIME USE
- Unpack the toaster and check if there are any parts damaged or missing during the transport.
- Please note that the toaster may emit a thin smoke or distinct odor for the first time.
Operate the toaster, with no bread inside, according to the following instruction below to disperse the initial element burning smell. Make sure the room is ventilated. Do not operate the empty toaster once this step is completed as overheating may occur. It is strongly suggested to dispose of the first bread that you toast.
- Unwind the power cord. Make sure the crumb tray is completely positioned in place and there is nothing in the toaster slot. Plug the power cord into the outlet.
- Put the bread slice(s) into the bread slot. Each slot can fit a 12 x 12cm bread at 1/2 to 2.4cm thick.
- Set browning control by turning the browning control knob to your desired level. There are 6-level settings (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6), turning clockwise to increase browning level, turning anticlockwise to decrease the browning level. The bread slice can be toasted to a golden color in the medium (3-4) setting.

Press the high lift lever down vertically until it is positioned in place. The “CANCEL” indicator light illuminates, and toasting begins. Once the bread has been toasted to a preset browning level, the high lift lever will automatically pop up. If toasted continuously, the browning level for the latter bread is darker than the color of the previous cycle at the same level.
NOTE .
- The high lift lever can only be latched when the appliance connects to the power supply.
- During the toasting process, keep a careful eye on the toaster to ensure that the toast does not burn. You may interrupt the toasting process by pressing the “CANCEL” button at any time.
The DEFROST Function
The DEFROST function enhances the toasting time for toasting frozen bread. If
the bread has been taken out of the refrigerator. Set the browning control
knob to your desired brown level. Press the high lift lever down vertically
until it is positioned in place, then press the “DEFROST” button and the
indicator of Defrost will be illuminated. In this mode, it will be toasted to
your desired color.
The BAGEL Function
The ‘Bagel’ function allows for the toasting of bread, bagels, and muffins,
etc on one side only, while the other remains warm. Press the high lift lever
down vertically until it is positioned in place, set the browning control
knob to your desired color, then press the “BAGEL” button and the indicator
will be illuminated. In this mode the heat elements in the middle sides are
heating, the heat elements on the outer sides will not operate. Once the bread
has been toasted to the preset color, the high lift lever will automatically
pop up.
To Stop Cycle
When the toasting cycle is complete, the high lift lever will automatically
pop up and raise the bread. If you wish to stop the cycle before it is
finished, simply press the “CANCEL” button to interrupt.
CAUTION
- Remove all protective wrapping prior to toasting.
- If the toaster starts to smoke, press “CANCEL” to stop toasting immediately.
- Never add any food substance to the bread prior to toastings, such as butter and jelly. This may cause a fire.
- Never attempt to remove bread jammed in the slots without unplugging the toaster from the electrical outlet first. Be sure not to damage the internal mechanism or heating elements when removing bread (To remove the jammed bread, see TROUBLESHOOTING below).
- The bread slot is only applicable for toasting a regular bread slice.
CLEANING AND STORAGE
CLEANING
Ensure the power plug has been removed from the power outlet and always allow
the toaster to be cooled completely before cleaning.
- To clean any crumbs from the toaster, slide out the crumb tray located on the bottom of the toaster to empty it. If the toaster is used frequently, cleaning the accumulated bread crumbs at least once a week. Sliding back the crumb tray before using the toaster again, make sure the crumb tray is completely locked into position.
WARNING
Never operate the toaster without the crumb tray in place. Do not allow crumbs to build up in the crumb tray. Failure to clean the crumb tray regularly may result in a fire hazard and damage to the toaster.
- Turn the toaster upside down over a trash bin and gently shake to remove any remaining crumbs in the toaster. Never insert any hard or sharp instruments into the slot, as this could damage the toaster and cause a safety hazard.
- Wipe the outside with a soft dry cloth after the toaster cools down, never use a metal scouring sponge, or scrubbing brushes to clean the appliance, as it may damage the toaster.
- DO NOT place the appliance or any part of it in an automatic dishwasher.
STORAGE
Ensure the power plug has been removed from the power outlet and always allow the toaster to be cooled completely before cleaning.
- Wind the power cord under the bottom of the toaster if the toaster is not in use or be stored.
- DO NOT store anything on top of the toaster.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Troubleshoot your problem by using the chart below. If the toaster still does not operate correctly, it may be defective. Please contact a qualified technician. DO NOT try to repair it by yourself. Otherwise, there is a risk of electric shock.

LIMITED WARRANTY
All Ultrean products come with a limited warranty against manufacturing and workmanship defects. This warranty is exclusively available to consumers. You are a consumer if you own an Ultrean product purchased at retails for individual, family, or household usage. Except as otherwise required under applicable law, this warranty is not accessible to retailers or other commercial buyers or owners. This warranty does not apply to misuse, accident, alteration, tampering or vandalism, improper or lack of maintenance, damage in return transit, mishandling, unsupervised use by children under 18 years of age, and electrical problems arisen as a result of faults in your electrical supply. Due to the constant improvement of our products in terms of function and design, Ultrean reserves the right to make changes to the product without prior warning. If you think your Toaster has a manufacturing or workmanship defect, please contact us at support@ultrean.com. Ultrean will not warrant any attempt to repair or replace parts of the damaged or defective products.
