INSTRUCTION

Step 1
Unclip the MAF sensor wire, at Arrow A in Figure 1.
Loosen the hose clamp at Arrow B in Figure 1.
Remove the hood cable from the clips on the back of the intake at Arrows C in Figure 1.

Step 2
Remove the factory intake by pulling up at the three mounting points, at the Arrows A. B, and C in Figure 2.
Remove the two rubber grommets from the factory intake at the Arrows B and C in Figure 2.

Step 3
Remove the lower hose by loosening the hose clamp at the Arrow A in Figure 3.
Open clip at Arrow B in Figure 3 to free the hose.

Step 4
For N26 Engine Code Vehicles Only:
Use a 11/32″ drill and drill a hole in the center of the carbon boss shown at the red arrow.
Using a 1/8*-27 NPT pipe tap. tap the drilled hole. Screw the supplied barb fitting into the tapped hole.

Step 5
For All Vehicles:
Install the supplied filter onto the carbon tube using the sup- plied hose clamp. Make sure the screw is facing up toward the groove in the flange, as shown in Figure 5. This will allow for easy access when servicing the filter in the car.

Step 6
Remove the factory MAF sensor by removing the two T-20 screws on the factory airbox.
Install the factory MAF sensor into the AWE Tuning carbon tube.
Ensure the tapered side of the MAF sensor faces the filter, as shown in Figure 6.
Make sure the gasket on the MAF sensor is fully seated in the carbon tube, then tighten down with the two supplied 3mm hex head bolts with a 3mm hex key.

Step 7
Install the carbon tube onto the carbon airbox as shown in Fig- ure 7. Make sure the groove in the carbon tube flange fits over the U- shaped cutout in the carbon airbox. Rotate the tube slightly if needed to get it to sit properly.

Step 8
Install the tube and airbox assembly into the car.
Slide the end of the carbon tube into the factory rubber turbo inlet hose.
Make sure the carbon tube is fully seated in the hose and use a long flat head screwdriver to tighten down the factory hose clamp.

Step 9
Make sure the inlet flange of the airbox is locked into the factory duct by the headlight, as shown in Figure 9.

Step 10
Install the provided foam gasket into the carbon airbox groove as shown in Figure 10. Peel back an edge of the backing mate- rial and lay the exposed end at Arrow A in Figure 10. Then re- move the rest of the paper backing while laying the gasket down around the box. Make sure the gasket is fully seated in the groove. At Arrow B, with a razor blade, cut the foam gasket flush with the edge of the flange.
Place the remaining foam gasket into the groove on top of the carbon tube flange.

Step 11
Install into the carbon fiber lid the rubber grommets removed in Step 2.
With a 3mm hex, install the lid onto the carbon airbox using the eight supplied hex screws. Do not overtighten these bolts, just snug them tight. Over tightening can damage the carbon lid.
To fully seat the grommets, push the lid down at the three mounting points. Make sure the rubber grommet mounts look like Figure 11 when fully installed.
