Operation steps

  1. Connect a passive speaker or subwoofer to the output of G2/G2 PRO. (G2 PRO with a low-frequency output, an active subwoofer can also be connected.)
  2. Connect the audio device to the RCA input of G2/G2 PRO via a high-quality cable.
  3. Connect the power adapter to G2/G2 PRO first and then plug the power cable into the socket, toggle the power switch to the ON position to turn it on, and then toggle the mode switch to the full frequency (PBTL) or bass mode (SUB).
  4. Clockwise or anti-clockwise rotate the volume control knob to turn up or down the volume; In bass mode, the bass cutoff frequency knob can be adjusted to achieve a suitable effect.
  5. Please refer to the following parameters to achieve the gain effect you want through the gain switch on the boffom of G2/G2 PRO.
  6. After use, please toggle the power switch to the OFF position first, and then disconnect the power adapter.

FAQ

Q: Why are all cables connected but there is no sound?

  1. A: If the power indicator light isn’t on, please use another power supply to detect whether the fault is the power supply or G2/G2 PRO.
  2. If the power indicator light is on but there is no sound, the power supply is normal. Please continue to check according to the order of audio signal transmission: audio source → audio cable → preamp /decoder > amplifier → speaker.
  3. If all is fine, please check whether the audio source is muted, paused or the volume is too small.

Q: Why is the sound distorted?

  • A : Maybe the input amplitude is too large. If the volume of the audio source and G2/G2 PRO both are turned to maximum, it is easy to cause distortion. Please turn down the volume of the audio source or G2/G2 PRO.

Q: Why is there a loud current sound or buzzing sound on the speaker?

  1. A:  Please use the original power supply. Many power supplies in the market have interference, which will cause current sound.
  2. When using an unshielded signal cable with no load, there will be interface signals. Please use the shielded signal cable or unplug it.
  3. If there is still noise after eliminating the above situations, please confirm whether it is external noise or internal noise. Disconnect all inputs and only retain the power supply and power cable. If the noise disappears, it is from audio input; if the noise is still there, it is possibly caused by a power supply or generated by the internal G2/G2 PRO.

Q: Why is there a thumping sound when switching on/off?

  • A: Please confirm the on-off sequence is correct, normally it follows the order of signal transmission when turned on: audio source → preamp / DAC → amplifier → speaker. (The sequence is reversed when switching off. The internal capacitors will be discharged for a while after shutdown. If turn off the preamp first and then turn off the amplifier, an impact sound will be easily caused which may damage the amplifier or speak in severe cases).

Q: Why does the volume of different audio sources(such as changing CD player to phone) differ when the volume of G2/G2 PRO is unchanged?

  • A: Different audio devices can output different signal amplitudes, for example, the phone usually is 0.35V, while the CD player is 1V.

Q: Why there is no sound or very little sound after the amplifier is connected to the speaker?

  1. A: Please check the audio source has been turned on and the volume is not at the minimum.
  2. 2. Please confirm whether the speaker and amplifier match (For example, the speaker is fixed resistance or fixed voltage, the power of the speaker is too much over the power of the amplifier, etc).

Q: Why does the amplifier stop working after working for a period of time and then be normal after disconnecting for a while?

  • A : Maybe the actual output power of the amplifier exceeds its rated power, just lower the volume of the amplifier or place it in a well-ventilated area.

Q: Why is the sound of the power amplifier not good at first, with unclear high frequency, but the sound is normal after working for a while?

  • A : For new speakers and amplifiers, we recommend burn-in for at least 10 hours to get better sound.

Warning

  1. Please do not open the shell by yourself, improper operation may cause a risk of electric shock.
  2. Please use the regular manufacturer’s switching power supply, otherwise, there will be a risk of damage to G2/G2 PRO.
  3. Please do not operate G2/G2 PRO in a high-temperature or humidity environment.
  4. The default 19V power supply for G2 and 32V power supply for G2 PRO can satisfy the needs of most home speakers. If you need higher power output please prepare a high-quality and large power supply by yourself.
