Troubleshooting

Keyboard and mouse not working

  • Check your keyboard and mouse are powered on.
  • Check that the receiver is securely plugged into a USB port on your computer.
  • If the receiver is plugged into a USB hub, try plugging it directly into your computer.
  • Try plugging the receiver into a different USB port closer to your keyboard and mouse.
  • Remove any metallic objects between the receiver and your keyboard and mouse.
  • Check that you pulled the battery tab out of your keyboard and mouse.
  • Check the orientation of the batteries. The mouse uses one AA alkaline battery and the keyboard uses two AAA alkaline batteries.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the keyboard have legs in the back to lift it up? I don’t like it when keyboard sit flat on a desk.

Yes it does have legs in the back. It can be adjusted to two Heights. And the battery life is well over 6 months for the keyboard.

Is this keyboard relatively quiet when typing?

It is the loudest keyboard I have ever used.

Is this a rubber dome keyboard or scissor-switch?

This is a rubber dome keyboard.

Is the keyboard palm rest plastic or a soft material?

It is plastic, however it’s very comfortable. I use mine over 12 hours a day.

If I buy as second one of these for another computer on the same desk and both computers are on, will there be issues?

I have purchased a number of these for multiple computers operating in close proximity without any interference issues.

Is this a mechanical keyboard?

I don’t think this is a mechanical keyboard.

It says it has a right-handed mouse, can it be used in the left hand?

I’m left handed and I’ve used Logitech mice of this shape for quite a few years. My thumb does fine on the right side and my fourth finger rests in the thumb-groove on the left side. It’s no problem. (You can switch the buttons via your operating system.)

Does the keyboard have an led to indicate that you have your capslock on?

Yes there is a light to indicate that capslock is on. That was my one requirement when we got our new keyboard. It also has a pop-up that will come up on the screen as well.

Will this keyboard and mouse mk345 work on an nvidia shield tv?

I was going to use it with my new Toshiba Smart TV. My thumb is getting tired already of going back and forth in typing stuff like long passwords.

How necessary is it to turn the keyboard and mouse off and on. It says it will last 18/36 months. Is that time for leaving it on with no offs?

I never turn mine off (I’m 6 months in) and the batteries are at 67%. So that sounds almost right.

Will this work for two computers plugged into a kvm switch if the kvm has usb ports for mouse & keyboard? can i plug the dongle into the kvm?

I do not know, works great with our desktop

Anyone else unable to map all f keys using setpoint? mine only shows mail, calculator, and home.

At least you can use some of your keys. I have trouble with the keyboard and mouse getting signals. I often have to stop typing to wait for the keyboard to catch up. The mouse does what ever it wants. Had to go back to old reliable “wired”.

Can this keyboard be used with a laptop?

My workspace is limited. Is there a way to either elevate the laptop or raise the keyboard

Do both the keyboard and mouse require their own USB ports or one port for both?

Only one usb is needed. Both run off the same usb.

How does the mouse compare in size to the m325?

I didn’t use the mouse you are asking about but the mouse is quite comfortable for everyone in my house from the 10 year old to the 50 year old
