SETTING OPERATING CODE
Before you start operation of your unit, the unique operating code of your air
conditioner has to be set on the remote controller. At the moment this type of
universal remote controller knows the most operating codes (2000) which is
available at the stores. Due to this ability, it can control almost all types,
but due to improvements of the manufacturers, 100% compatibility is not
guaranteed. There are two ways of setting suffi cient operating code:
Manual setting: search the brand name of your device in the table
included in the packing. Codes belonging to it operates not only one device
but whole families. Choose the code which operates your air conditioner. E.g.:
in case of CARRIER device, choose 0203 code fi rst, and if it doesn’t work,
try the next one (0204), then try the further ones if needed.
Entering code: press SELECT button. At the place of the clock, the CODE
label will be fl ashing. Enter the 4-digit code directly with the number keys.
After entering the fourth digit, the data will be recorded automatically.
After that, try to operate your air conditioner with the on/off switch. If it
reacts, try the other functions as well. If functions, used earlier don’t
work, try other code numbers. Since the remote controller includes variety of
2000 codes, the maximum number you can specify can be 1999.
If you can’t fi nd the brand name, or none of the codes belonging to the brand
name operates the air conditioner, doesn’t mean that the remote controller
can’t be used together with it. Different manufacturers often apply same code
system, so there are many air conditioners operated by the remote controller,
which can’t be found in the list. For checking that, starting the automatic
code search is recommended.
Automatic code searching: Place the remote controller to have the INFRA LED situated on its front directed to the receiver window of the air conditioner. Keep pressed the SELECT button for 5 seconds. Then the remote controller will step the codes one by one, and each of them will send a signal to the air conditioner. If it emits a sound, it has found the operating code. After that, press the POWER (on/off) button and operating code will be fi xed. If there are functions, which are not working, then try other code numbers. With ENTER button you can check the actual fi xed code at any time. Stepping and trying each code can take even 40 minutes. In the meantime, you can follow the process by indicating codes 1- 1999.
CLOCK SETTING
Press CLOCK button, then start to set current time within 8 seconds with TIME +/- buttons. After the setting has finished, press CLOCK button again.
SCHEDULED ON- OFF SWITCH
Press TIMER ON button, then start to set desired switch-on time within 8
seconds with TIME +/- buttons. After the setting has finished, wait till the
flashing stops. Setting of switch-off time can be done with TIMER OFF and TIME
+/- buttons. In order to operate the function, leave the remote controller in
such position, where it is able to control the air conditioner. Timing can be
cancelled with double press of TIMER ON or TIMER OFF buttons. If you want to
check the set time, press TIMER ON or TIMER OFF buttons, and the set
time will be visible for 5 seconds.
OPERATION OF SLEEP MODE
In summer, when the air conditioner is working in cooling mode, press SLEEP button, and a moon/star symbol will appear on the display. The adjusted temperature will increase by 1ºC increment in the fi rst 2 hours, and the unit will switch off after 8 hours. In order to operate the function, leave the remote controller in such position, where it is able to control the air conditioner. (In case of heating mode, the temperature will decrease automatically.)
USING „SMART” COOL AND HEAT
In summer, when the air conditioner is working in cooling mode, press
i. COOL button and the air conditioner will start cooling immediately. In
winter,
i. HEAT button will switch immediate heating. In these cases, the temperature
remains in a comfort range and the ventilator as well as the blades will work
automatically. It is available to adjust temperature with TEMP +/- buttons.
