IMPORTANT
Even under ideal conditions, an accident can happen, a minor impact at speeds
less than 13 miles per hour can cause serious head injuries.
Common sense dictates that you need protection. No helmet can protect the user
against all impacts. This full face helmet only offers protection to the chin
when the flip up is closed. Always drive with a closed flip up and a closed
visor!
INSURING PROPER FIT
A helmet should be snug but not too tight, once it is seated on your head
tighten the chin strap, position it well back against your throat it should be
tight enough so that you cannot place your fingers between the strap and your
throat, but breathing and swallowing should not be impaired.
Once securely fastened, move the helmet side to side, then up and down to
ensure that your skin movement is the same as that of the helmet, if it slips
at all try a smaller size. Attempt to roll the helmet off your head by firmly
pulling upward on the rear of the helmet. You should not be able to remove a
correctly fitting helmet in this manner.
BEFORE YOU SET OUT
Always check the face shield screws on both sides of the helmet before riding,
it can be very dangerous if these parts come loose during riding.
If necessary tighten them. Never ride with a shield open. Do not use a tinted
face shield when riding at night or in other conditions of poor visibility.
Always fasten your chin strap before heading out. REMEMBER: helmets reduce
your ability to hear sounds, especially at night speeds.
Sudden temperature variations can cause unexpected misting of your shield and
loss of visibility. Be aware of how your perception of trail conditions is
affected.
CARING FOR YOUR HELMET
Your helmet may be damaged and rendered ineffective by petroleum and petrochemical products, cleaning agents, paints, adhesives etc. Without the damage being visible to the user. Use only the following materials to clean your helmet: mild soap and water and automotive wax or polish for the outer shell. After cleaning interior, rinse with a damp cloth and let dry at room temperature, high heat will damage the liner as will strong solvents and gasoline products. It is a good idea to keep your helmet in a secure place when you are not using it. Visors should not be excessively cold when they are being refitted otherwise they may crack.
DON’ T MISTREAT YOUR HELMET
Never ride with the helmet hanging from the helmet holder. Don’t sit on it or
throw it around. Mistreating your helmet like this will damage the shell and
shock absorbing liner and reduce the helmets ability to protect you in an
accident.
DON’T TAMPER WITH THE HELMET
Make no modification and never drill holes in the shell or cut the inner liner.
This can seriously weaken the helmet.
HELMETS ARE DESIGNED TO ABSORB ONE IMPACT
A helmet only works once, after it has protected you from a major impact, you
must get a new one. An impact or fall could seriously impair the safety of
your helmet even if there is no visible damage. Never wear a helmet that has
sustained an impact of any sort. It is then important to purchase a new
helmet.

Within the terms of the Limited Warranty, if the helmet is found to be
defective in materials or workmanship within twelve months from the date of
purchase, the helmet will be repaired or replaced, at the option of the

structure of the helmet or its parts is not allowed.

WARNING
-
SIZING AND PROPER POSITIONING
WARNING! SIZING is probably the single most important function.
You as a new helmet owner must perform to allow your helmet to protect you from a head injury. By the time you read this manual, it should have already been determined that your helmet is of the proper size for your head. Follow the manual guide to determine if indeed your helmet fits your head. Should you determine that your helmet is not of the proper size please return to Vinz Helmets and exchange your helmet with one that fits you. Do not ride with a helmet that is either too small or too large for your head! -
DO NOT MODIFY YOUR HELMET IN ANY WAY. IN PARTICULAR: Do not modify the features of your helmet. Do not scratch, cut or perforate the shell of the helmet. Do not insert screws, and paint it again. Do not modify the chin strap in any way. Do not remove any of the helmet’s rubber rims. Their main purpose is to protect you from the sharp edges of the shell.
Removing them could prove extremely dangerous in case of an accident.
Do not modify in any way to comfort padding. Please remember to use the original spare parts only. -
IF YOUR HELMET IS SUBJECTED TO AN IMPACT DO NOT PUT IT ON
Never use a helmet that has suffered an impact. Although visible damage may not appear on the shell the helmet accomplishes its shock absorbing functions through the alteration and/or partial destruction. In essence, a helmet is, therefore, unable to perform the functions for which it was designed after a severe impact. A helmet which has suffered a severe blow should be discarded and replaced.
NOT WARRANTED SHATTERPROOF
The helmet visor must no longer be used if it has deep scratches or crushing. -
TAKE GOOD CARE OF YOUR HELMET:
DO NOT LEAVE IT HANGING FROM ANY HOOK OF YOUR MOTORCYCLE.
Your helmet is sturdy and tough. Nevertheless, it should be handled with the utmost care. Never ride with your helmet hooked on your motorcycle. Make sure you always keep it a safe distance from the muffler and, in general, from any source of heat, in hot weather always protect your helmet from direct sunlight when you are not riding particularly if it is painted in dark colours. -
KEEP HELMET OUT OF THE REACH OF PETS
To avoid the interior being chewed like a shoe, or scratched like a sofa, as too often happens. Such damage can be irreparable. -
SHIELD CARE AND MAINTENANCE
To clean your shield and maintain its characteristics as long as possible use only warm demineralized water and soap. Do not use water rich in chlorine. Never use Alcohol or other solvents. Never use glass cleaning products containing alcohol. Always remove your shield before cleaning inside of your helmet. Remember to wear your helmet only AFTER you have assured yourself that the cleaning products you used have fully evaporated. -
POSITIONING
Always wear your helmet in its correct position. -
KEEP YOUR HELMET IN A SAFE PLACE
Do not “park” the helmet on sharp or rough surfaces to avoid damage to the liner. -
DO NOT EXPOSE YOUR HELMET TO SOLVENTS
Including gasoline or their fumes to avoid damage to shields, small plastic components and interior. -
PROTECTION
To assure complete protection this helmet must be a good fit and to be securely fastened. This flip up helmet only offers protection to the chin when the flip up is closed.
