Product Usage Instructions

IMPORTANT: Even under ideal conditions, an accident can happen, and a minor impact at speeds less than 13 miles per hour can cause serious head injuries. Therefore, it is essential to wear a helmet for protection. However, please note that no helmet can protect the user against all impacts. This full face helmet only offers protection to the chin when the flip up is closed. Always drive with a closed flip up and a closed visor!

DON’T MISTREAT YOUR HELMET: Never ride with the helmet hanging from the helmet holder, sit on it, or throw it around. Mistreating the helmet in such ways can damage the shell and shock absorbing liner, reducing its ability to protect you in an accident.

DON’T TAMPER WITH THE HELMET: Do not make any modifications to the helmet, and never drill holes in the shell or cut the inner liner. These actions can seriously weaken the helmet.

HELMETS ARE DESIGNED TO ABSORB ONE IMPACT: A helmet only works once. After it has protected you from a major impact, you must replace it. Even if there is no visible damage, an impact or fall could seriously impair the safety of the helmet. Never wear a helmet that has sustained any sort of impact. It is important to purchase a new helmet in such cases.

LIMITED WARRANTY

Within the terms of the Limited Warranty, if the helmet is found to be defective in materials or workmanship within twelve months from the date of purchase, the helmet will be repaired or replaced, at the option of the supplier. This warranty is only made with the original Purchaser of the helmet and does not extend to any third parties. The term of this warranty shall commence on the date of purchase and shall continue through a period of twelve months. In no event shall this warranty apply

to any helmet replaced thereafter. In the event of a defect covered by this warranty, the purchaser should return the helmet to the establishment where the helmet was originally purchased. Except as expressly provided by this warranty, the supplier shall not be responsible for any incident or consequential damages associated with a claim under this agreement, whether the claim is based on contract tort, or otherwise.

WARNING: No helmet can protect the user from all possible and foreseeable impacts. Please consider the following:

  1. For adequate protection, this helmet must fit closely and besecurely attached. Replace any helmet that has sustained a violentimpact.
  2. Visors (if fitted) with the marking indicating IF TINTED FORDAYTIME USE ONLY or DAYTIME USE ONLY are not suitable for useduring the hours of darkness or in conditions of poor visibility.The fastening of visors may not allow instant removal from the lineof sight with one hand in case of emergencies like headlamp glareor misting.
  3. To maintain the full efficiency of the helmet, any modificationto its structure or parts is not allowed.
  4. Do not apply paint, stickers, petrol, or other solvents to thishelmet. The shell material is adversely affected by hydrocarbons,cleaning fluids, paints, transfers, or other extraneous additions.The shell is made using an injection method with acrylonitrilebutadiene styrene polystyrene.

MORE SAFETY WARNINGS: Please read this manual carefully before wearing your helmet and keep it in a safe place for future reference. Avoid exposing your helmet to intense light, especially if it is painted with fluorescent colors such as yellow, red, orange, and green.

  • Common sense dictates that you need protection. No helmet can protect the user against all impacts. This full face helmet only offers protection to the chin when the flip up is closed. Always drive with a closed flip up and a closed visor!

ENSURING PROPER FIT

A helmet should be snug but not too tight, once it is seated on your head tighten the chin strap, position it well back against your throat it should be tight enough so that you cannot place your fingers between the strap and your throat, but breathing and swallowing should not be impaired. Once securely fastened, move the helmet side to side, then up and down to ensure that your skin movement is the same as that of the helmet, if it slips at all try a smaller size. Attempt to roll the helmet off your head by firmly pulling upward on the rear of the helmet. You should not be able to remove a correctly fitting helmet in this manner.

BEFORE YOU SET OUT

Always check the face shield screws on both sides of the helmet before riding, it can be very dangerous if these parts come loose during riding. If necessary tighten them. Never ride with a shield open. Do not use a tinted face shield when riding at night or in other conditions of poor visibility. Always fasten your chin strap before heading out. REMEMBER: helmets reduce your ability to hear sounds, especially at night speeds.

Sudden temperature variations can cause unexpected misting of your shield and loss of visibility. Be aware of how your perception of trail conditions is affected.

CARING FOR YOUR HELMET

Your helmet may be damaged and rendered ineffective by petroleum and petrochemical products, cleaning agents, paints, adhesives etc. Without the damage being visible to the user. Use only the following materials to clean your helmet: mild soap and water and automotive wax or polish for the outer shell. After cleaning interior, rinse with a damp cloth and let dry at room temperature, high heat will damage the liner as will strong solvents and gasoline products. It is a good idea to keep your helmet in a secure place when you are not using it. Visors should not be excessively cold when they are being refitted otherwise they may crack.

WARNING

  • SIZING AND PROPER POSITIONING

    • WARNING! SIZING is probably the single most important function.
    • You as a new helmet owner must perform to allow your helmet to protect you from a head injury. By the time you read this manual, it should have already been determined that your helmet is of the proper size for your head. Follow the manual guide to determine if indeed your helmet fits your head. Should you determine that your helmet is not of the proper size please return to Vinz Helmets and exchange your helmet with one that fits you. Do not ride with a helmet that is either too small or too large for your head!
  • DO NOT MODIFY YOUR HELMET IN ANY IN PARTICULAR:

    • Do not modify the features of your helmet. Do not scratch, cut or perforate the shell of the helmet. Do not insert screws, and paint it again. Do not modify the chin strap in any way. Do not remove any of the helmet’s rubber rims. Their main purpose is to protect you from the sharp edges of the shell.
    • Removing them could prove extremely dangerous in case of an accident. Do not modify in any way to comfort padding. Please remember to use the original spare parts only.
  • IF YOUR HELMET IS SUBJECTED TO AN IMPACT DO NOT PUT IT ON

    • Never use a helmet that has suffered an Although visible damage may not appear on the shell the helmet accomplishes its shock absorbing functions through the alteration and/or partial destruction. In essence, a helmet is, therefore, unable to perform the functions for which it was designed after a severe impact. A helmet which has suffered a severe blow should be discarded and replaced.
  • NOT WARRANTED SHATTERPROOF
    The helmet visor must no longer be used if it has deep scratches or crushing.

  • TAKE GOOD CARE OF YOUR HELMET:

    • DO NOT LEAVE IT HANGING FROM ANY HOOK OF YOUR MOTORCYCLE.
    • Your helmet is sturdy and tough. Nevertheless, it should be handled with the utmost care. Never ride with your helmet hooked on your motorcycle. Make sure you always keep it a safe distance from the muffler and, in general, from any source of heat, in hot weather always protect your helmet from direct sunlight when you are not riding particularly if it is painted in dark colours.
  • KEEP HELMET OUT OF THE REACH OF PETS

    • To avoid the interior being chewed like a shoe, or scratched like a sofa, as too often happens. Such damage can be irreparable.
  • SHIELD CARE AND MAINTENANCE

    • To clean your shield and maintain its characteristics as long as possible use only warm demineralized water and soap. Do not use water rich in chlorine. Never use Alcohol or other solvents. Never use glass cleaning products containing alcohol. Always remove your shield before cleaning inside of your helmet. Remember to wear your helmet only AFTER you have assured yourself that the cleaning products you used have fully evaporated.
  • POSITIONING

    • Always wear your helmet in its correct position.
  • KEEP YOUR HELMET IN A SAFE PLACE

    • Do not “park” the helmet on sharp or rough surfaces to avoid damage to the liner.
  • DO NOT EXPOSE YOUR HELMET TO SOLVENTS

    • Including gasoline or their fumes to avoid damage to shields, small plastic components and interior.
  • PROTECTION

    • To assure complete protection this helmet must be a good fit and to be securely fastened. This flip up helmet only offers protection to the chin when the flip up is closed.
