INSTRUCTION MANUAL DOG REMI

Dogremi RC Multicolor

Age: 18 m+
PLEASE READ THIS INFORMATION BEFORE USE AND KEEP FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
This product requires 3 x 1.5V AA alkaline batteries (included) and 2 x 1.5V AAA alkaline batteries (not included).
The batteries included in the toy at the time of the purchase are supplied only for demonstration at the point of sale and must be replaced with new batteries immediately after purchase.

WARNING!

  • Plastic bags and other components which are not part of the product (e.g. ties, fasteners, etc.) must be removed before use and kept out of reach of children. Choking hazard and suffocation risk.
  • Regularly inspect the toy for signs of wear and damage. If any part of the product is damaged, do not use and keep out of the reach of children.
  • Use this toy under adult supervision only.
  • Do not touch the vehicle’s wheels during operation.
  • The product is designed exclusively for domestic use in an indoor environment.
  • Do not use outside, for example on lawns, roads or uneven surfaces etc.
  • Do not use the toy on the road or outdoors.
  • Do not use the toy on wet, sandy or dusty surfaces.
  • Never leave the toy near heat sources.
  • Keep hair at a safe distance from moving wheels. Entanglement risk.
  • During use, the remote control could create interference with television sets, video recorders and other products operated by infra-red remote control. In the unlikely event that this should happen, do not use the two products at the same time.
  • Do not look at the infra-red radiation emitted by the LED through optical instruments.

SWITCHING ON THE TOY

  • Switch on the DOGREMI product by pushing the ON/OFF lever switch (words or tunes mode) (fig. A-1) located on the collar to I.

  • Switch the remote control on by pushing the ON/OFF lever switch (fig. B-3) to I.

  • After playing, it is best to switch the DOGREMI product and the remote control off by moving both ON/OFF switches to O. To avoid excessive battery consumption, the product (remote control and vehicle) will enter standby mode after remaining idle for 1 minute.
    To reactivate them:

  • Press one of the 5 buttons found on the back of the DOGREMI product (fig. A-3)

  • Push the ON/OFF lever switch to O and then back to I.(fig. A-1) (fig. B-3)

HOW TO USE THE TOY

  • For optimal operation, constant communication needs to be maintained between the remote control (fig. B-4) and the DOGREMI product (fig. A-2), avoiding any obstacles (objects, walls, electronic devices) that might hinder or weaken communication.
  • The maximum range of action of the remote control is about 4 metres; this distance may decrease depending on the state of charge of the batteries and the environmental situation.
  • Operate the DOGREMI product by pressing the buttons on the remote control: the remote control features two buttons, one of which moves the product forward (fig. B-1), and the other in reverse and to the left (fig. B-2).
  • There are 5 buttons on the product (fig. A-3) that activate words, tunes and sound effects.

FITTING AND/OR REPLACING BATTERIES
Batteries must only be replaced by an adult.
To replace batteries:
a) Unscrew the battery compartment cover, remove the flat batteries and fit the new batteries with their poles in the right direction (as indicated on the product). Replace the cover making sure to fully tighten the safety screw;
b) close the compartment with the screws, making sure they are fully tightened;

  • Always keep batteries and tools out of the reach of children;
  • Always remove flat batteries from the product to prevent any possible liquid leaks from damaging it;
  • If the batteries are leaking liquid, replace them immediately, making sure to clean the battery compartment; thoroughly wash your hands if they have come into contact with the liquid;
  • Always remove the batteries if the product will not be used for a long period of time;
  • Only use alkaline batteries of the same type or equivalent to the type recommended for the correct functioning of this product;
  • Never mix alkaline, standard (zinc-carbon) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries;
  • Never mix new and old batteries;
  • Do not throw dead batteries in fire or leave them in the environment; they must be disposed of through waste sorting;
  • Do not short-circuit the power terminals;
  • Do not attempt to charge batteries that are not rechargeable: they might explode;
  • The use of rechargeable batteries is not recommended as the toy may not work properly;
  • When using rechargeable batteries, remove them from the toy before recharging and recharge only under the supervision of an adult;
  • Remove the batteries from the toy before disposing of it;
  • This product is not designed to be used with replaceable lithium batteries;
    WARNING improper use may create hazardous conditions.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

  • Clean the toy using a soft, dry or moistened fabric cloth to avoid damaging the electrical circuit. Do not use detergents or solvents to clean the toy.
  • When not in use, store the product away from sources of heat, dust, humidity and water.

** The crossed bin symbol on the appliance indicates that the product, at the end of its life, must be disposed of separately from domestic waste, either by taking it to a separate waste disposal site for electric and electronic appliances or by returning it to your dealer when you buy another similar appliance. The user is responsible for taking the appliance to a special waste disposal site at the end of its life. If the unwanted appliance is collected correctly as separate waste, it can be recycled, treated and disposed of ecologically; this avoids a negative impact on both the environment and health, and contributes towards the recycling of the product’s materials. CONFORMITY WITH EU DIRECTIVE 2006/66/EC

The crossed bin symbol on the battery or the packaging, means that the batteries, at the end of their life, should be disposed of separately from the municipal waste stream via designated separate waste collection facilities appointed by the government or the local authorities, or otherwise re- turned to the dealer when purchasing new equivalent rechargeable or non-rechargeable batteries.
The chemical symbols Hg, Cd, Pb, printed under the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol, indicate the type of substance contained in the batteries: Hg=Mercury, Cd=Cadmium, Pb=Lead. The user is responsible for bringing batteries, at the end of their life, to the appropriate collection facilities in order to facilitate treatment and recycling. The correct separate waste disposal of your old toy will help prevent potential negative consequences for the environment and human health and flavour the recycling of the materials of which the product is made. Illegal disposal of the product by the user will damage the environment and human health.
