Installation

  1. Insert either a 12V/DC power cable or an ethernet cable to receive power, but never at the same time.
  2. For optimal installation, this speaker should be used with Speco Technologies accessories.
  3. Cut a 7.625” diameter hole in your ceiling tile.
  4. This assembly requires at least 2.4” clearance from the back of the tile to the ceiling. Ensure at least 2.4 inches clearance from the back of the tile to the ceiling.

Mounting Instructions

  1. Select areas of the ceiling or wall without obstructions, plumbing, heating/AC apparatus, or electrical wiring.
  2. Determine if in-ceiling mounting brackets are needed to support the speaker’s weight. Order appropriate mounting brackets through your distributor.
  3. Use the provided cutout guideline and trace the cut area with a pencil on the mounting location.
  4. Carefully cut out the traced guideline area, removing a portion of sheetrock or ceiling tile to expose the mounting hole.
  5. Run the ethernet cable through the ceiling or wall to the mounting location.
  6. Connect the Ethernet wire to the RJ45 terminal.
  7. Test the speaker at low volume to ensure a strong connection before the final installation.
  8. Place the speaker with easy-mount tabs turned clockwise inward into the mounting hole.
  9. Turn screws on the outer rim of the speaker’s face clockwise to clamp down the easy mount tabs on the mounting surface from behind.
  10. Securely position/pivot the tweeter in the direction of the listening area.

Operation Instructions

  1. After mounting the speaker to the ceiling, ensure that the ethernet cable is connected to a PoE source, such as a recorder or switch.
  2. Access the IP speaker settings through a web browser (InternetExplorer 8 and up) via the LAN.speco-technologies-SPIPC6AM-IP-6-Inch-Ceiling-Speaker-with-Microphone \(5\)
  3. The speaker is set to DHCP out of the box. Use Speco AudioManager to find the IP address of the IP speaker.speco-technologies-SPIPC6AM-IP-6-Inch-Ceiling-Speaker-with-Microphone \(6\)
  4. Once the IP speakers populate through Speco Audio Manager, double-click on the IP address of one of the speakers to go directly to the web interface. Use Username: admin and Password:1234.speco-technologies-SPIPC6AM-IP-6-Inch-Ceiling-Speaker-with-Microphone \(7\)
