U S Boiler Company 4X2522CG Free-Standing Cast Iron Radiators

Product Information

The Free-Standing Cast Iron Radiators are available in three models: Slenderized, Radiant, and Classic. These radiators provide efficient heating for homes. They come in different sizes and sections, with various heights and BTU ratings.

Slenderized Model

  • Type: Number of tubes x height in inches (includes plugs and/or bushings for all tappings)
  • Assembly Type: C = Complete, I = Intermediate, R = Return End with connection, A = Intermediate Sub Assembly
  • End Section Legs: G = With Legs, L = No Legs

Radiant Model

  • Size: Number of sections

Classic Model

  • Length: 2-1/4 inches per section

The radiators have a maximum allowable working pressure of 30 PSI for water and 15 PSI for steam. They should be installed with a 1-inch clearance from the wall. The water content varies based on the number of sections.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Determine the appropriate model and size of radiator based on your heating requirements.
  2. For the Slenderized model, choose the type and assembly type that suits your installation needs.
  3. If necessary, select the Slenderized model with or without end section legs.
  4. Use the provided ratings per section to calculate the required BTU output for your space.
  5. Install the radiator with a 1-inch clearance from the wall.
  6. Follow the provided dimensions and tappings to connect the radiator to the steam or hot water supply and return lines.
  7. Optional accessories and fittings, such as adjustable brackets and pedestals, can be used for wall mounting or additional support.
  8. Refer to the specific model and section length to determine the overall length of the radiator.
  9. Follow the provided instructions for mounting the radiator on adjustable brackets, if applicable.
  10. Ensure proper maintenance and operation of the radiator according to the user manual for optimal performance.

Installer Highlights

  • Cast iron reliability and durability
  • Water or steam
  • Slenderized & Radiant models are pre-primed (water-based latex) for immediate top-coat paint finishing (premium oil or solvent -based)
  • Classic models are pre-painted
  • Residential or commercial

Homeowner Benefits

  • Cast iron offers both convective and radiant heat, providing even heating comfort throughout the room
  • Virtually silent operation, does not have the expansion noises associated with “light duty” radiator systems
  • Rugged cast iron construction
