Outwell E 150 Windscreen Air Scalable
Product Information
The product is the Windscreen Air Scalable 150, which is a tent designed for family camping. It is an air tent that utilizes the latest technology to make pitching fast and easy. The tent features air tubes that need to be inflated to a recommended operational pressure of maximum 9psi / 0.6 bar. It is important to practice erecting the tent at home prior to use in the field and follow the provided pitching instructions or watch the pitching video.
Product Usage Instructions
- Practice erecting your tent at home prior to use in the field. Follow the sewn-in pitching instructions and/or watch the pitching video.
- When pumping up the tent, use the pump gauge to obtain the recommended operational pressure of maximum 9psi / 0.6 bar.
- Be aware that air expands and contracts as it warms and cools. In colder temperatures, the air tubes may lose some pressure and appear slack. This is normal and will resolve as the air in the tubes expands with rising ambient temperature.
- Do not overinflate a cold tent in the morning, as there is a risk that the pressure could become too high when it gets hot during the day.
- Observe how your tent behaves under different weather conditions. Squeeze the air tubes inside the tent and feel the pressure. If they seem too hard in midday heat, check the pressureby cracking open the inflation valve to release some air. Then, connect the pump and apply pressure to the recommended 9psi / 0.6 bar.
Cleaning and Maintenance Tips
- Select a campsite that is even and free from rocks, branches, and other sharp objects.
- When taking down and packing the tent, ensure it is completely dry to avoid mildew/rotting. Store the tent in a dry place.
- Remove dirt from the tent using a soft sponge and pure water. Do not wash the tent in a washing machine or have it dry-cleaned.
- After use, lightly grease all metal poles with a nonacidic oil.
- Avoid spraying insecticides in or on the tent, as they may damage the fabric and coating.
- If strong winds are expected, replace the normal tent pegs with storm pegs. Do not use guylines to pull out the tent pegs. For stony or hard ground, stronger U-form pegs are recommended.
