Operation Guide

Getting Started

Before using this device, fully charge it. Charging instructions can be found.
Open the charging case and take out the earbuds and place them in your ears. The earbuds will pair to each other automatically, and the indicator will blink to signal pairing readiness.

Pairing

  1. Go to Bluetooth® Settings on your mobile device.
  2. Turn Bluetooth® ON, on your device.
  3. On your Bluetooth® device, select “iHome XT-89” from the list of available devices.
  4. The earbud indicator LEDs will flash once to indicate they are connected.

**Basic Functions

**

Right Earbud:

  • Single tap the control surface to play or pause the audio.
  • Double tap to skip to the next audio track.
  • Long press for two seconds to activate Transparent ANC mode.
  • Long press for two more seconds to activate Total ANC mode.
  • Long press for two more seconds to deactivate ANC modes.

Note : Use of ANC modes deplete the internal batteries quicker than regular audio playback.

Left Earbud:

  • Single tap the control surface to play or pause the audio.
  • Double tap to skip back to the previous audio track.
  • Long press for two seconds to activate low-latency Gaming mode.
  • Long press for two more seconds to deactivate Gaming mode (music mode.)

Phone calls:
When there is an incoming call, the unit will pause the playback and ring to alert you of the call. Phone call functions work the same on either of the earbuds.
To answer an incoming call, single tap the control button of either earbud. To end a call, tap the control surface. To reject an incoming call, double tap the control surface.

Using Siri or Google Assistant
The Al assistant on your device must be activated prior to this operation. On either earbud, tap the control surface three times to activate your Al voice assistant.

Turning On and Off
The earbuds turn on automatically when they are removed from the charging case, and off when placed back in the case. If you need to manually turn them off, press and hold the control surface for 5 seconds. Press and hold for 3 seconds to turn them back on.

Troubleshooting

The earbuds do not sync together or enter disconnected state during use:

  1. Turn off both earbuds by pressing the control surface of each for 5 seconds.
  2. Turn them both back on at the same time by pressing the control surface of each for 3 seconds.
  3. If that does not work, place both earbuds back into case, close the charging case, and then open the charging case again.
  4. Remove the earbuds from the charging case. Press and hold both the control surfaces on both earbuds for 3 seconds. This will force the earbuds to turn off and on again and sync with each other.
  5. Reattempt the pairing process.

Earbuds do not pair to device:

  1. Turn the Earbuds OFF manually.
  2. Replace the earbuds in the case. Turn your device’s Bluetooth® OFF and then back ON.
  3. Reattempt the pairing process.

Charging

  1. Replace the earbuds in the case.

  2. Connect the USB-C charging cable to the charging port on the bottom of the charge case.

  3. Plug the cable into a standard USB 5V/1A or higher power output.
    When you plug the case into a charger, the LED display shows the current charge, blinking. This means it is being charged.
    The lights on the buds in the case glow steady, indicating they are charging.
    The lights on the buds will go out when fully charged or the case is unplugged from the power source.
    The LED display will show 100 and stop blinking when the case is fully charged.

  4. When fully charged, promptly unplug the charge case from the power source.
    If you want to charge the earbuds from the charge case internal battery, simply replace them in the case. They will begin charging from the built-in case battery.

Warnings

  • Do not use this unit for anything other than its intended use.
  • Do not puncture, throw, drop, bend, or modify this product.
  • Do not throw this product into fire or water.
  • Do not short-circuit the battery with any metal or metallic objects.
  • Do not expose this product to corrosive liquids such as salt water.
  • Do not operate the unit if it has been wet or moist to prevent against electric shock and/or injury to yourself and damage to the unit.
  • Do not allow children to play with this product as it is not a toy, and may present a choking hazard.
  • Avoid leaving your device in direct sunlight, such as on the dashboard, console, or seat of a vehicle.
  • Do not leave your device, or use your device, in any area where the temperature is likely to drop below 32° F, or may exceed 140° F, such as inside a closed vehicle on a hot day.
  • Repairs to electrical equipment should only be performed by a qualified electrician. Improper repairs may place the user at serious risk.
  • Protect your hearing by always listening at a safe level. Prolonged use at elevated volumes may affect your hearing capacity and could result in hearing loss.
  • Use the earbuds with this charging case only.
  • To avoid damage to the charging case, please only use a USB 5V/1A or higher charger.
  • In order to ensure the battery life, charge normally at least once a month.

Warranty

Bytech NY INC. warrants this product to be materially free from defects and workmanship to the original purchaser for a period of 12 months from the original purchase date. Bytech responsibility with regard to this limited warranty shall be limited solely to repair or replacement at its option, of any product which fails during normal consumer use. This warranty does not extend to damage or failure which results from misuse, neglect, accident, alteration, abuse, improper installation or maintenance. At any time during the 12 months period following the purchase, the product fails due to defects in material or workmanship, return the defective product (with freight prepaid) with proof of purchase.
