IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and injury to persons.

Read all instructions before operating this heater.

This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, Do Not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. If provided use handles when moving this heater. Keep combustible materials such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes and curtains at least 3 feet (.9m) from the front of the heater and away from the sides and rear.

Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or physically disabled persons and whenever the heater is left operating unattended.

Always unplug heater when not in use

Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Discard heater or return to authorized service facility for examination and/or repair.

Do not use outdoors.

This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas or similar indoor locations where there may be moisture. Never locate heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water receptacle.

Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover with throw rugs, runners or similar coverings. Do not route cord under furniture or appliances. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
To disconnect heater, turn controls off, then remove plug from outlet

Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust openings as this may cause electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.

To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces like a bed, where openings my become blocked.

A heater has hot arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in area where gasoline, paint, or other flammable liquids are used or stored.

Use heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or personal injury.

Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/receptacle Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/power strip).

This heater includes a visual alarm to warn that parts of the heater are getting excessively hot. If the caution light comes on, immediately turn the heater off and inspect for any objects on or adjacent to the heater that may cause high temperatures.
DO NOT OPERATE THE HEATER WITH THE CAUTION LIGHT ON.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Power Supply: Plug the power supply cord into a wall outlet that is
110V AC – 120V AC, 60Hz

Heat Switch Functions:

Power indicator Light: When the unit is turned on, the power indicator light will illuminate to tell you that the heater is working.

OFF Will turn the unit off
FAN Fan only operation
1300W Provides 1300 Watts of heat output
1500W Provides 1500 Watts of heat output

Thermostat Control: Ambient temperature is regulated by adjusting the thermostat to a desired position. The unit will operate at the desired setting until the temperature has been reached. Turning the knob from low to high will increase the temperature setting.

Anti-Freeze Setting:
To activate the anti-freeze function, set the THERMOSTAT to LOW and the Heat Switch to 1500W. The unit will then operate automatically when the surrounding temperature becomes close to freezing. Operation will continue until the immediate surrounding temperature rises. Caution: In a large poorly insulated areas or on excessively cold days this heater may not be able to maintain room temperature above the freezing level.

Tip over Safety Switch:
The tip over safety switch mechanism automatically shuts off the heater when it is tilted or tipped over.

Visual Alarm:
This heater includes a visual alarm to warn that parts of the heater are getting excessively hot. If the caution light comes on, immediately turn OFF the heater and UNPLUG it. Inspect and remove any objects on or adjacent to the heater that may cause high temperatures. The light will shut off when the heater cools down. Allow it to cool for a few minutes, plug it back in and resume normal operation. DO NOT OPERATE THE HEATER WITH THE CAUTION LIGHT ON

MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS

Cleaning:
Always unplug heater before cleaning. Use a soft cloth moistened with a mild soap solution. Do Not immerse heater in water or allow water to drip into the heater housing Never use gasoline, benzine or thinner This will damage the surface of the product.

Storage:
Clean thoroughly and store in original box with power supply cord properly secured.

GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS

For heaters rated for use on 120 volts, if the cord has a plug as shown at “A” below, an adapter as shown at “C” is available for connecting three-blade grounding–type plugs to two slot receptacles. The green grounding lug extending from the adapter must be connected to a permanent ground such as a grounded outlet box. The adapter should not be used if a three—slot grounded receptacle is available

LIMITED WARRANTY

Products manufactured by TPI Corporation are warranted to the original consumer to be free from defects in material and workmanship for twelve (12) months from the original purchase date.

The TPI limited warranty does not cover products that have been modified outside of our factory, damage or failure caused by acts of God, abuse, misuse, connected to or placed on other than rated voltage, abnormal usage, fault, installation, failure to follow suggested maintenance procedures enclosed with the product, improper maintenance or any repairs other than those provided by an authorized TPI service center,

There are no obligations or liabilities on the part of the Corporation for consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the use or performance of the product or other indirect damages with respect to loss of property, revenues, profit, costs of removal installation, or reinstallation.

All implied warranties with respect to TPI products, including implied warranties for merchantability and implied warranties for fitness, are limited in duration to twelve (12) months from original date of purchase, except those products or parts of products which are warranted for long periods thereon.

Some states do not allow the exclusions or limitation of incidental or consequential damages and some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts The above exclusions or limitations may not apply to you.

During the warranty period, TPI Corporation will, at its sole option, repair or replace any defective parts or products returned, freight prepaid, to the TPI Corporation factory or such other locations as TPI Corporation may designate. Returned products must be packaged carefully and TPI Corporation shall not be responsible for damage in transit.

When returning parts, the owner must provide the model number of the product and nature of difficulty being experienced. This warranty does not obligate TPI Corporation to bear the cost of labor in replacing any assembly, unit or component part thereof, nor does the company assume any liability for secondary charges, expenses for installing or removal, freight or damages There will be charges rendered for product repairs made after the warranty period has expired. Proof of purchase, including date, must accompany request for in-warranty service.
