Important safety information
Read all instructions before use SAVE THIS INSTRUCTION MANUAL For the babys child safety and health – WARNING
Caution
- Always use this product with adult supervision.
- Never use feeding teats as a soother.
- Continuous and prolonged sucking of fluids will cause tooth decay.
- Always check food temperature before feeding.
- Do not warm liquid in a microwave oven as this may cause uneven heating and could scald your baby.
- Inspect before each use and pull the feeding teat in all directions. Throw away at the first signs of damage, mould or weakness.
- Do not leave the product in direct sunlight or heat, or leave in disinfectant (“sterilizing solution”) for longer than recommended, as this may weaken the teat.
- Never leave packaging and components unattended. Keep them out of reach of children.
- Don’t use the liquid if bottles or components become damaged.
- Use the product only for its intended use as described in this instruction manual.
- Use by more than one baby without adequate reprocessing may present a health risk and could cause cross-contamination.
- Please do not shake the bottle up and down, as it might cause the liquid to spray out.
- For optimum performance and hygiene reasons, we recommend replacing teats at least every 3 months, or earlier in case of damage or weakness.
- Do not use metal or sharp objects inside the bottle and with other parts (e.g. for stirring contents or cleaning) – this may damage them.
- Also, bottles and component parts may become damaged if mishandled, e.g. dropped, over-tightened, or knocked over.
- Glass bottles may break easily. When the glass bottle cracks or shatters, sharp edges and shards may cause an injury. Take appropriate care in handling bottles and components.
- The glass bottle becomes very hot after exposure to high temperatures (e.g. boiling or warming). Please take appropriate care when handling bottles to avoid scalding.
- Do not heat closed bottles, as the pressure in the bottle will increase and might lead to damage, e.g. cracks, explosion.
- Avoid exposing the bottle to high-temperature differences, e.g. putting a cold bottle directly into boiling water or cooling down hot bottle in ice. This may cause bottle damage.
- The glass bottle may be slippery, especially when wet. Please take appropriate care when handling.
Important information
- The glass bottle is heavier than a polypropylene bottle. Please take appropriate care when holding the bottle, e.g. for pumping or feeding.
- Use Medela original accessories only. Use only Medela accessories contained in the packaging to close the bottle.
- Do not store the glass bottles in the freezer.
Instructions for assembly
- Make sure you thoroughly wash your hands before handling the teat, the bottle and other parts.
- Parts to assemble. Pull the teat through the collar. Ensure that the teat is properly placed in the collar. Screw on the collar with the teat on the bottle. If required, you can put the cap on. Cleaning and hygiene
Important
- Only use drinking-quality water for cleaning.
- Reprocess all parts prior to first use to ensure hygiene.
- Clean all parts immediately after use.
- Do not use abrasive or aggressive products for cleaning. Detergents and other cleaning solutions may e.g. fade the print on the bottle. We recommend replacing bottles if the print has faded.

Storing and thawing breast milk
- Before expressing breast milk, mums should wash their hands with soap and water or an alcohol-based hand sanitiser. The pump parts, bottles and pumping area must be clean. Breasts and nipples do not need to be washed before pumping.
- These guidelines for storage and thawing of breast milk are a recommendation. Contact your midwife or lactation consultant for further information.
