Product Information

The Voda Bath Mixer Diverter System Dress Kit is a versatile plumbing product designed to provide a convenient and efficient way to control the flow of water in your bath. The product is available in three different sizes: 160mm, 200mm, and 250mm. It comes with a mixer dress kit and a diverter dress kit.
The product code for the Voda Bath Mixer Diverter System is CBM. It is manufactured by Sussex Taps Pty Ltd and complies with AS/NZS 3718:2005 standards. It is water-efficient, with a rating of 5.0 liters per minute.

Product Usage Instructions

Mixer Dress Kit Installation

  1. Remove the protective cover from the diverter.

  2. Fit the dress ring onto the diverter.

  3. Attach the handle body to the diverter. Note that the pin position of the handle is optional.

  4. Secure the handle body by tightening the set screw using the provided Allen key.

  5. Attach the handle pin. Apply a small amount of silicone or mild
    adhesive (Loctite) to prevent the pin from becoming loose.

  6. Apply sealing tape (Teflon) to the male thread of the outlet.

  7. Place the dress ring and dress flange over the prepared male thread.

  8. Fit the outlet onto the male thread.

    • Hand Shower Fit Off
  9. Apply sealing tape (Teflon) to the male thread of the hand shower.

  10. Place the dress ring over the prepared male thread.

  11. Fit the hand shower post onto the male thread.

  12. Connect the hand shower hose to the post.

    • To complete the installation, operate the mixer(s) and check the flow of both hot and cold water from the outlet. Also, check all fittings and fixtures for any water leaks.
    • Rough-In Plumbing
    • Prior to installing the Voda Bath Mixer Diverter System, calculate the finished wall thickness. The maximum wall thickness should be 30mm. If your wall thickness exceeds this limit, contact the manufacturer for further options.
  13. Prepare a nogging to be fixed parallel between the wall studs.

  14. The nogging should be positioned to allow the base of the Masterfit to be 30-32mm back from the stud face.

  15. Using the provided screws, mount the Masterfit to the nogging. Ensure it is level and square.

Note: The diverter is of the dial type. Rotate the handle to direct water flow.

Please ensure that the installation of tapware is done by a licensed plumber in accordance with AS/NZS 3500:2003 standards. The recommended working water pressure is 300-500 kph, and the maximum water temperature is 65°C.

Mixer dress kit

  • Remove Mixer protective cover.
  • Using silicone, seal the wall surface around the Mixer and Outlet threads.
  • Apply a small amount of silicone to the rear of the backplate prior to mounting onto the wall.
  • After Backplate has been mounted, fit the Mixer Dress Ring.
  • Fit the handle body onto the Mixer Cartridge Lever ensuring the Handle is fully engaged.
  • Secure the Handle Body by tightening the Set screw using the Allen Key provided (tighten well).
  • Attach the Handle Pin.
  • NOTE: Apply a small amount of silicone or mild adhesive (Loctite) to the thread of the Handle Pin to assist in preventing the Pin from becoming loose).

Diverter dress kit

  • Remove Diverter protective cover.
  • Fit Dress Ring.
  • Fit the handle body.
  • NOTE: The Pin position of the Handle is optional. Select as desired (Total movement is 90 degrees).
  • Secure the Handle Body by tightening the Set screw using the Allen Key provided (tighten well).
  • Attach the Handle Pin.
  • NOTE: Apply a small amount of silicone or mild adhesive (Loctite) to the thread of the Handle Pin to assist in preventing the Pin from becoming loose).

Outletfit off

  • Apply sealing tape (Teflon) to male thread.
  • Place Dress Ring and Dress Flange over prepared male thread.
  • Fit the Outlet.

Hand shower fit off

  • Apply sealing tape (Teflon) to male thread.
  • Place Dress Ring over prepared male thread.
  • Fit the Hand shower Post.
  • Connect the Hand Shower Hose to Post.
  • To complete the installation, operate the Mixer(s) checking the flow of both hot and cold water from the Outlet.
  • Check all fittings and fixtures for water leaks

Bath mixer diverter system Rough-in

Rough-in plumbing

  • Prior to installing, calculate the finished wall thickness, the maximum is 30mm thick, contact the manufacturer for further options.
  • If the Wall thickness is greater than 30mm, contact the manufacturer for further options.
  • Prepare a Nogging to be fixed parallel between the Wall Studs.
  • The Nogging must be fitted to enable the base of the Masterfit to be 30-32mm back from the Stud Face.
  • The Masterfit will be marked “This side Up” to indicate orientation.
  • Using the screws (x4) provided, mount the Masterfit to the Nogging. Ensure the Masterfit is level and square.

Pipe connections

  • The Hot and Cold ports are marked on the Masterfit. (Mixers have individual Hot/Cold inlet ports).
  • Flush all water feed lines. All lines must be free from any dirt and debris before connecting to the Masterfit.
  • Connect Hot and Cold lines to the corresponding 1/2” BSP ports of the Masterfit. (see Drawing)
  • Do not remove any factory-fitted pressure plugs or Fixings.
  • Once all water connections are made, check the Hot/Cold water flow by operating the Mixer Cartridge.
  • Check all fittings and fixtures for leaks.
  • Leave the Mixer(s) in the closed position and replace the Mixer protective cover.
  • Store the Dress Kit in a safe place until required (see Dress Finishing Guide)

Plumber note

  • On-site high-pressure line testing must be conducted with the Mixer in the closed position. (STATIC TEST ONLY)
  • Under no circumstances is the Mixer to be opened when exceeding the maximum stated water pressure.
  • At the completion of the testing, do not relieve any high pressure by opening the Mixer.
  • Exposing the internals of the Mixer Cartridge to higher than specified water pressures will void the manufacturer’s warranty
  • Tapware is to be installed by a Licensed Plumber in accordance with AS/NZS 3500:2003
  • Recommended working water pressure 300-500 kph. Maximum water temperature is 65 deg.c
