Product Information
The product is a cable connector used for installations in communication infrastructure. It is designed to ensure proper cable management and connection stability.
Installation Instructions
-
Maintain 2-inch straight cable length behind the cable.
Do not hold the connector and bend the cable directly behind it, rather hold the cable adjacent to the connector to keep stress from the cable/connector junction. -
Do not exceed the cable minimum bend radius.**
Single Bend Radius Table***Cable| Radius, inches
FSJ1| 1.00 (25.4mm)
LSF2| 1.00 (25.4mm)
FSJ4 / RSJ4| 1.25 (31.8mm)
LDF 4| 2.00 (51.0mm)
C141 / RG402| 0.40 (10.0mm)
Note: Requires use of mandrel to achieve single bend radius.
- Route and form the cable in place before attaching the coupling nuts.
- Do not twist the cable into position.
- Do not attach the connector coupling nut of one jumper connector and leave the opposite end hanging unattached
- Assemble: Hold the connector body and push it onto the female interface.
- Slightly rotate the coupling nut to ensure groove of coupling nut not align with the pins . (FSJ1 and LSF2 Push-Pull connector only)
- DO NOT hold the coupling nut while pushing on.
Listen for a click sound to fully engage
Disassemble: Slightly rotate the coupling nut to ensure groove of coupling nut align with the pins . (FSJ1 and LSF2 Push-Pull connector only) Hold the connector body stationary and pull back the coupling nut to disengage. DO NOT pull back the connector body
Tip : Listen for a click sound to fully engage Assemble: Rotate the coupling nut slightly to help a click sound for fully engaged. Disassemble: Rotate the coupling nut slightly to help pull back.
Ensure the cable does not exceed the minimum bend radius specified in the Single Bend Radius Table.
- Do not leave one end of the jumper connector unattached while attaching the coupling nut of the other end.
- For assembly, hold the connector body and push it onto the female interface. Slightly rotate the coupling nut to ensure groove alignment with the pins. (Applies to FSJ1 and LSF2 Push-Pull connectors only)
- For disassembly, slightly rotate the coupling nut to ensure groove alignment with the pins. Hold the connector body stationary and pull back the coupling nut to disengage. (Applies to FSJ1 and LSF2 Push-Pull connectors only)
- Listen for a click sound to ensure full engagement. Rotate the coupling nut slightly if needed for assistance during assembly or disassembly.
- If applying weatherproofing tape to the cable jumper, refer to the manufacturer’s recommendations.
- If cable jumper applying HELIAX® SureGuard Version 2.0 Weatherproofing boots, please refer to below.
- If cable jumper applying weatherproofing tape, the manufacturer’s recommendations are referenced below.
Note: The connector interface threads and O-rings are designed for mateability without any supplementary treatment. The use of supplementary lubricants/oils will void the warranty and may affect connector/assembly performance.
NOTE : Connector interface threads and O-rings are designed for mate ability without ANY supplementary treatment to threads or O-rings. If any type of supplementary lubricants/oils are used, the warranty will be void, and connector/assembly performance may be affected.
