The Venom 2 is a device that utilizes Bluetooth 5.0 wireless technology. It is designed for various applications and is equippedwith the following features:

Product Usage Instructions

Before using Venom 2, it is important to read and understand the following instructions:

  1. Important Safety Instructions: Read and follow all safety warnings and instructions provided in the manual to prevent electric shock, fire, and personal injury.
  2. Basic Precautions: When using an electrical device, always follow basic precautions. This includes reading the instructions before use.
  3. Charger Usage: Only use the supplied charger with the detachable supply cord. Do not use any other charger.
  4. Wireless Technology: The Venom 2 utilizes Bluetooth 5.0 wireless technology. It operates within the frequency range of 2402 to 2480 MHz.
  5. Radiation Exposure: The device complies with FCC/ISED radiation exposure limits and guidelines. It has low levels of RF energy that are considered safe without specific absorption rate (SAR) testing.
  6. Modifications: Do not make any changes or modifications to the device that are not approved by the responsible party. Unauthorized modifications may void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.

To reduce the risk of electric shock:

  • Always unplug this device from the electrical outlet immediately after charging and before cleaning or using.
  • Do not reach for a device that has fallen into water. Unplug immediately.
  • Do not use while bathing or in a shower.
  • Do not place or store device where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink. Do not place in or drop into water or other liquid.
  • Keep dry. Do not operate in a wet or moist condition.

Read all safety warnings and instructions before using this device. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.

WARNING:
TO REDUCE RISK OF BURNS, ELECTRIC SHOCK, FIRE, AND PERSONAL INJURY, THIS PRODUCT MUST BE USED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Use this device only for its intended use as described in this manual.
  • This is not a toy. For adult use only. Do not use if injured.
  • This device should never be left unattended when plugged in. Always unplug this device from the electrical outlet immediately after charging, prior to use and before cleaning. Unplug from outlet when not in use, and before putting on or taking off parts.
  • Do not operate under blanket or pillow. Excessive heating can occur and cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
  • Never operate this device if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, or has gotten wet. Return the device to a service center for examination and repair.
  • Do not carry this device by the cord or use cord as a handle.
  • Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
  • Never drop or insert any object into any opening.
  • Suitable for dry location ONLY. Do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces and do not expose to water or rain.
  • Use product only according to these instructional materials. In addition, instructional use materials are available at hyperice.com.
  • Use heated surfaces carefully. May cause serious burns. Do not use over insensitive skin areas or in the presence of poor circulation. The unattended use of heat by children or incapacitated persons may be dangerous.
  • Temperatures sufficiently high to cause burns may occur regardless of the control setting. Do not use on an infant or invalid or on a sleeping or unconscious person. Do not use on insensitive skin or on a person with poor blood circulation. Check the skin in contact with the heated area of the device frequently to reduce the risk of blistering. Immediately remove from body and turn off at first sign of discomfort.
  • This device must not be used by persons insensitive to heat and other very vulnerable persons who are unable to react to overheating.
  • If the device is slept on or worn while sleeping with the controls set to a higher temperature the user may suffer skin burns or heat stroke.
  • Do not crush. Avoid folding with sharp creases. Do not fold Venom 2 while in use.
  • Do not modify or attempt to repair the device. Contains no user-serviceable parts. Please contact Hyperice for service.
  • Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the power button is in the off position before storing, picking up or carrying the device.

WARNING:
Please do not use the Venom 2, or any heat or vibration device without first obtaining approval from your doctor if any of the following apply: Pregnancy, diabetes with complications such as neuropathy or retinal damage, wear of pacemakers, recent surgery, epilepsy or migraines, herniated disks, spondylolisthesis, spondylolysis, or spondylosis, recent joint replacements or IUDs, metal pins or plates or any concerns about your physical health. Frail individuals and children should be accompanied by an adult when using any heat or vibration device. These contraindications do not mean that you are not able to use this device but we do advise you to consult a doctor first. Ongoing research is being done to the effects of heat and vibration for specific medical disorders. This will likely result in the shortening of the list of contraindications as shown above. Practical experience has shown that integration of vibration exercise into a treatment plan is advisory in a number of cases. This must be done on advice of and in accompaniment with a doctor, specialist or physiotherapist.

CAUTION
When using an electrical device, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following:

  • For adult use only.
  • This device is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge of how to use this device, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the device by a person responsible for their safety.
  • The device has a heated surface. Persons sensitive to heat must be careful when using the device. This device must not be used by persons insensitive to heat and other very vulnerable persons who are unable to react to overheating.
  • Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device.
  • Unplug the charger from battery after charging or prior to use. Venom 2 will not function while charger is plugged into battery.
  • Never leave the Venom 2 operating or charging unattended.
  • Do not immerse device in water. Clean only with a damp cloth.
  • Keep liquids away from device.
  • Use only on a dry clean surface of the body, or over light clothing, as shown on instructional material.
  • Do not use Venom 2 on wet skin or over topical ointment, especially ones that contain heat producing ingredients as skin burns could result.
  • Use a thin fabric, clothing or thin towel between product and skin to reduce chance of burns.
  • Burns can occur regardless of control setting. Check skin under product frequently and immediately remove from body and turn off at first sign of discomfort.
  • Do not place any metallic objects between Venom 2 and body, including pins or other metallic fasteners to fasten the Venom 2
  • Do not attempt to disassemble.
  • Do not tamper or alter the Venom 2 in any way.
  • Carefully examine the device before each use. If the device shows any sign of deterioration, such as checking, blistering, or cracking return it to an authorized Hyperice service center for examination and repair.
  • Do not operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.
  • Do not sit on, press against, or crush Venom 2.
  • Do not crush the device by placing items on top of it during storage
  • Examine the device frequently for signs of wear or damage. If there are such signs, if the device has been misused or does not work, return it to an authorized Hyperice service center for examination and repair.
  • Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  • Not intended for medical use in hospitals. Intended for household or commercial use.

BLUETOOTH® WIRELESS TECHNOLOGY

The Bluetooth® word mark and logos are owned by Bluetooth SIG, Inc., and any use of such marks by Hyperice is under license. In the unlikely event of loss of a stable Bluetooth connection, the system will attempt to re-establish its connection automatically. The Venom 2 is completely autonomous and will continue operating normally, even during a loss of connectivity. If this control unit does cause interference, which can be determined by turning the control unit off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by reorienting or relocating the control unit, increasing the separation between equipment and the control unit, or connecting the control unit to a different outlet on a circuit if it is plugged in.

The Venom 2 control unit uses Bluetooth 5.0 wireless technology with the following radio specifications:

  • Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
  • Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
  • Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

INTERNAL BATTERY INFORMATION

The Venom 2 unit is equipped with a rechargeable lithium ion battery. The internal battery is designed to allow use of the Venom 2 anywhere—even when power outlets aren’t available. The Venom 2 may need to be charged before first use. A fully charged battery will provide power for 2+ hours of continuous use. It takes approximately 4 hours to fully charge the battery when the control unit is plugged in and not in use.

  • This device contains a Lithium-ion battery. Batteries are only replaceable by a skilled person with a special tool. Contact Hyperice for service or repair. This device contains batteries that are non-replaceable. When the battery is at end of life, the device shall be properly disposed of. The battery must be complied with safely at an appropriate e-waste disposal or recycling facility.

WARNING

  • Follow all charging instructions and do not charge the battery pack or device outside of the temperature range specified in the instructions. Charging improperly or at temperatures outside of the specified range may damage the battery and increase the risk of fire.
  • Nominal temperature range for charging the battery 0º ~ 45ºC (32º ~ 113ºF)
  • Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.
  • Do not use a battery pack or device that is damaged or modified. Damaged or modified batteries may exhibit unpredictable behavior resulting in fire, explosion or risk of injury.
  • The battery used in this device may present a risk of fire or chemical burn if mistreated. Do not disassemble, do not expose a battery pack or device to fire or excessive temperature. Exposure to fire or temperature above 130ºC (265ºF) may cause explosion.
  • In the event of the battery pack leaking, do not allow any liquid to come into contact with the skin or eyes. If contact has been made, wash the affected area with copious amounts of water and seek medical attention
  • In case of battery rupture, major leakage or explosion, evacuate the area and quarantine the contaminated area. Provide good ventilation to clear out any fumes, gases or pungent odors.
  • Eyes Rinse eyes with plenty of water for 15 minutes; Seek immediate medical attention.
  • Skin Rinse affected area with plenty of water and soap or take a shower for 15 min
  • Inhalation Expose the person to fresh air and use artificial respiration if needed; Seek medical attention if necessary.
  • Ingestion  Consult a physician or local poison control center immediately
  • Dispose of used battery promptly. Keep away from children. Do not disassemble and do not dispose of in fire.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS CHARGING

WARNING:
The Venom 2 should only be charged with the double insulated, 18VDC Hyperice charger (model number MX24Z2-1801000) that was supplied with the device. Do not charge the Venom 2 overnight or leave the Venom 2 unattended when charging or in use.

To charge, connect the adapter into the battery’s charging port and plug the charging cord into a wall outlet. Fully charge the battery for up to six hours before first use. A LED light pulses to show the battery level and indicate active charging. Full charge is indicated when the LED light stops pulsing and remains fully illuminated green. The device will display the battery level when turned on. Unit may be recharged at any time and at any battery level. It is not recommended to fully deplete the battery to the orange LED level. Recharge the unit monthly to best prolong battery life.

OPERATING

Wrap the compression wrap around the proper body part (back, leg, or shoulder) and attach straps with a snug, but comfortable, fit so the four vibration pods are positioned as desired. Ensure battery is charged. Press the ON button to activate the unit. The Hyperice logo will illuminate red to show Venom 2 is activated. Choose the desired heat and vibration options with the buttons on the top of the pod. The device will automatically start when the heat or vibration button is pressed. Press the heat or vibration button again to the desired level. The device will turn off automatically after 15 minutes without further input. The device will vibrate twice to signify the end of a session or three times to signify a low battery. To continue use, simply press the heat or vibration button, and set to the desired level. A fully charged battery will power the device for around two hours at level three heat, and longer at lower levels

CONNECT TO THE HYPERICE APP

To connect your device to the Hyperice App via Bluetooth® make sure that your device is turned on, Bluetooth is turned on in your phone, and your device is within range of your phone. The Bluetooth LED on the pod will pulse blue, which means it is waiting to pair. If prompted, tap “Scan for Devices.” Select your device when it pops up on the screen. Once you pair your Venom 2, HyperSmart™ will allow you to automatically start your session and control the heat and vibration settings from within the Hyperice App.

CLEANING AND STORAGE

Use a towel or soft cloth to wipe any moisture from unit. Keep unit away from heat sources, liquids, and children. Store in a clean, cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight, when not in use. Recommend storage temperature between -10°C and 25°C/14°F and 77°F.
