Product Information
The product is a monitor arm designed and manufactured by Ergotron. It is compatible with various monitor sizes and weights. The arm can support up to 4 monitors when used with the 45-509 LXDual Stacking Arm and Tall pole. The maximum weight capacities for different configurations are as follows:
- 2 monitors: 7 – 22 lbs (3.2 – 10 kg) per monitor
- 3 monitors: 7 – 14.7 lbs (3.2 – 6.7 kg) per monitor
- 4 monitors: 7 – 11 lbs (3.2 – 5 kg) per monitor
Note that if the monitor depth exceeds 2.5 inches (64 mm), it may affect the weight capacity. For more information, please contact Ergotron.
Product Usage Instructions
To use the monitor arm, follow these steps:
- Ensure that the monitor arm is securely attached to a stable surface or pole.
- If using multiple arms, connect them to the tall pole accordingto your desired configuration.
- Adjust the tension of the arm using the provided adjustment knobs to achieve the desired height and position.
- Place the monitor onto the VESA mount on the arm, aligning the mounting holes on the back of the monitor with the VESA plate.
- Securely attach the monitor to the arm using the appropriate screws or fasteners.
- Repeat steps 4 and 5 for each additional monitor, if applicable.
- Ensure that all monitors are properly aligned and positioned for optimal viewing.
- Make any necessary adjustments to the tension or height of the arm to achieve the desired ergonomic setup.

CAUTION! The LX Arm Accessory is designed to be used with the 45-295 LX Desk Mount LCD Arm, Tall Pole and the 45-509 LX Dual Stacking Arm, Tall pole products. Using the LX Arm Accessory with any other product may create an unstable situation resulting in equipment damage and/or personal injury.

Monitor depth greater than 2.5″ (64 mm) may diminish capacity. Call Ergotron for more information.

Adjustment Step
Important! You will need to adjust this product after installation is complete. Make sure all your equipment is properly installed on the product before attempting adjustments. This product should move smoothly and easily through the full range of motion and stay where you set it. If movements are too easy or difficult or if product does not stay in desired positions, follow the adjustment instructions to create smooth and easy movements. Depending on your product and the adjustment, it may take many turns to notice a difference. Any time equipment is added or removed from this product, resulting in a change in the weight of the mounted load, you should repeat these adjustment steps to ensure safe and optimum operation.
Lift – Up and down
Increase Lift Strength
If the mounted weight is too heavy or this product does not stay up when raised, then you’ll need to increase Lift Strength
Decrease Lift Strength
If the mounted weight is too light or this product does not stay down when lowered, then you’ll need to decrease Lift Strength.
CAUTION: DO NOT overtighten fasteners. Overtightening may cause damage to your equipment.
Tilt – Forward and Backward
CAUTION: DO NOT remove screw. Removing screw may cause damage to equipment.
Arm Swing – Side-to-side
Increase Friction
If this product moves too easily, then you’ll need to increase friction.
Decrease Friction
If this product is too difficult to move, then you’ll need to decrease friction:

Warning: Because mounting surface materials can vary widely, it is imperative that you make sure mounting surface is strong enough to handle mounted product and equipment
Caution: Leave enough slack in cable to allow full range of motion.
To avoid the potential to pinch cables it is important to follow the cable routing instructions in this manual. Failure to follow these instructions may result in equipment damage or personal injury.
CAUTION : For Desk Clamp installations: Do Not rotate display past edge of desk
The lower most range of motion for vertical lift is decreased up to 4.5″ (114 mm) when arm is adjusted to hold over 20lbs (9 kgs).
WARNING! Stored Energy Hazard: The arm mechanism is under tension and will move up rapidly, on its own, as soon as attached equipment is removed. For this reason, DO NOT remove equipment unless the arm has been moved to the highest position! Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury and/or equipment damage!
