USER MANUAL
Preface
Gripo is a sturdy, flexible supportive aid that helps you stand up and move
around the house. Gripo is suitable for any home and is very easy to install.
The support bar works excellently on its own but can also be supplemented with
useful accessories. The pole has been tested and approved in accordance with
EN 12182:2012. It is manufactured using aluminium and plastic, and designed
for suspension between the floor and ceiling of any room in which the ceiling
and tloor have the strength to withstand a point load of 100 kg.
At each end of the pole there is a plate-shaped end plate with a friction ring
installed. The force between the end plates is maintained by a gas spring with
an average pressure of 100 kg.
This altows the pole to be mounted without having to use any kind of screw
connection, which causes perforation of the floor or ceiling. This also
ensures that, when dismantling the pole, no marks will remain behind.
With the help of various accessories, the pole can be adapted to a wide range
of applications. Hepro offers 3 different models that make it easier to find a
pole that suits the desired application. The poles are supplied with anodised
aluminium tubes with a natural aluminium colour, while all the plastic parts
are black.
Hepro is the manufacturer and can therefore offer customised solutions when
necessary. Hepro is a Norwegian industrial company that develops, produces,

Before mounting
Art. nr. 35200
Art. nr. 35210
Art. nr. 35202 MOUNTING OF GRIPO AGAINST CEILING
Before mounting Gripo, the roof structure should be examined for strength and
the possibility of positioning the pole in the desired location. Roofs and
floors must be strong enough to withstand a point load of 100 kg.
For plaster ceilings, it is very important that Gripo is installed as shown in
the diagram. Avoid placing Gripo between roof beams or attaching it to
chipboard roofs. When mounting Gripo on plaster ceilings or other weak
ceilings, it is recommended to use the 35153 accessory – Large Ceiling Plate,
which ensures extra reinforcement between the top plate of the pole and the
ceiling. Always
assess the pinching hazard between the pole and other furniture/objects.
To prevent pinching
between the bed/chair and Gripo, a Circular grip d30, or equivalent accessory,
can be mounted as shown in the illustrations.
Mounting
-
Before you start assembling…
Place the pole on the small bottom plate so that the pole fits in the track.
Place the gas spring on top of the inner tube and push the gas spring against the red safety mark.
Attach the large top plate to the top of the gas spring so that the pole fits in the track.
**** The froce pushing aganist the roof is 100 kg -
Place the pole in a suitable place
Pull out the foot pedal
Open the quick connect -
Slide the inner tube up until the top plate reaches the ceiling completely, while the bottom plate remains in contact with the floor.
Make sure that the pole is vertical. -
Rotate the inner tube clockwise so that the inner tube locks into the outer tube.
-
Lock the quick connect.
-
Press the foot pedal down. If you are unsure of whether the roof can withstand the load, be careful not to crack the roof while gently pressing down on the foot pedal.
Check that the red marking is gone. If the red marking is visible, dismantle the pole and start from point 2.
**** Make sure that the red marking is not visible during use.
If it appears, take down the pole and remount it.
Make sure that the tightening screw on the quick connect is not loose and that
the inner tube is screwed on tightly. If the red mark is still visible, one
possible reason could be that the roof structure is not strong enough.
Dismantling
Open the quick connect and pull up the foot pedal. If necessary, turn the inner tube counter-clockwise.NB! The user manual is only valid at the time of the printing. The latest version will always be available at our website.
