Proper Use

The “Teufel CAGE PRO” Headphones are designed for the playback of audio signals that can be wirelessly transmitted via Bluetooth® or via Dongle from the external player. The headphones are also suitable as a headphone for connecting to Bluetooth compatible (mobile) phones. Only use the headphones as described in this user manual. Any other use will be deemed as not in accordance with the instructions and may lead to damage to property or even persons. The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by improper use. The headphones are intended for private use only.Before operating the headphones, please first read the safety notes and user manual carefully. This is the only way to use all functions safely and reliably. Store the user manual in a safe place and also be sure to pass it on to any subsequent owner.

Getting started

Powering on & off

Press and hold power button for 1.5 seconds and the headphones will automatically turn on.
Press and hold power button for 1.5 seconds and the headphone will automatically turn off.

Connecting the headphones

There are two types of ways to connect the headphone with your devices.

Gaming mode

You should first download Teufel Audio Center software from www. teufel.de and install it. Then insert the dongle and leave the headset powered off.

Press and hold the dongle button until the dongle LED flashes purple. Then press and hold the power button on the headphone for 8 seconds, until it also flashes purple. When the status LED lights up purple for 3 seconds, the pairing was successful. After that you can control the headphone through Teufel Audio Center on your computer

Bluetooth mode

To connect the headphones with your mobile devices, first push the slide switch to Bluetooth mode. Turn on the headphones by pressing the power button for 1.5 sec and then press the power button twice to enter pairing mode. Enable the Bluetooth function on your electronic device and search for CAGE PRO to pair. When the headphone LED lights up solid blue for 3 seconds, the headphone was successfully paired.

Information on the Bluetooth wireless connection

The headphones are compatible with Bluetooth 5.2. If you activate AAC on your audio source, the headphone automatically plays music in high quality. The paired devices immediately establish the Bluetooth wireless connection after switching on and are ready for use. When you switch the headphones on, they automatically try to connect to the last connected Bluetooth device.

Teufel Audio Center Software

The headset/dongle will interface with the Teufel Audio Center desktop application for Windows. The application will allow the user to configure various features of the headset. If you like to tweak your sound, the software also provides a 10-band equalizer and multiple presets perfect for the most common contents.

Charging

Charging the headphone Headphone begins charging when connected to a power source via USB-C cable. Headphone stops charging when USB-C cable is disconnected.

Charging time

Charging via UBS-C, fully charged in 165 minutes; Empty to 75% nominal capacity in 95 minutes;

NOTICE

Fully charged battery allows at least 12-hour use.

Check the headphone battery level

When using the headphones If connected to an Apple or Android device, the device displays the approximate battery level in the Teufel Audio Center software and or in the notification bar.

When charging the headphones

When charging, Status LED glows according to charging status.

60% – 99% breathing green;
21% – 59% breathing yellow;
0% – 20%: Breathing red.

USB-C Charging

CAUTION

Use this product only with an agency approved power supply which meets local regulatory requirements (e.g., CE, CCC).

Connect the small end of the supplied USB cable into the USB-C port.
Connect the other end into a USB wall charger (not provided).

NOTICE

Before charging, be sure that the headphones are at the correct operating temperature of between 0°C and 45°C.

Care and maintenance

Cleaning the headphone

The headphones may require periodic cleaning. Ear cushions: Remove the ear cushions from the headphones and wash them with a mild detergent and water. To avoid cracking or peeling of the ear cushions due to long term contact with bodily fluids e.g. sweat or oil, always clean them by wiping it with dry soft tools such as cotton swabs, balls, or pads.

Note: Make sure you thoroughly rinse and dry the ear cushions before re- attaching them to the headphones. Charging port: To prevent rusting, regularly clean with a dry, soft cotton swab or equivalent.

Storing headphone

Headphones should be stored in a clean, dry area. If possible, the headphones may be hung up to minimize wear. If possible, always store your headphones in a case or protective bag when not in use. Do make sure the storage temperature range is between -20°C and 65°C. It is better to detach the boom arm for long no use.

If you experience problems with your headphones, see the table below to identify symptoms and solutions to common problems. If you are still unable to resolve your issue, contact Teufel customer service

| 1. Charge the headphone.

2. Make sure the headphone is not in standby mode and wake it up by pressing the Power or Multifunction button.

Headphones don’t connect with mobile device

| 1. Make sure your mobile device supports Bluetooth technology.

2. On your mobile device: Turn the Bluetooth feature off and then on.

3. Delete your Teufel CAGE PRO headphone from the Bluetooth list on your mobile device. Connect again.

4. Move your mobile device closer to the headphones and away from any interference or obstructions.

5. Connect a different mobile device.

6. Clear the headphones pairing list and connect again. To clear Bluetooth device list, press and hold power button for 8 seconds in OFF state.

Headphones don’t charge

| 1. Make sure that both ends of the USB cable are plugged in correctly and securely.

2. If your headphone has been exposed to high or low temperatures, let it return to room temperature and then try charging again.

Poor sound quality

5. Clear any debris or wax buildup from the headphone and ear cushions.

No sound from one side

| Make sure that the headphone is fully charged and that the headphone has successfully been paired with your electronic device and connected to it. Also make sure that you are wearing the headphone correctly.
Factory reset| To do this, press and hold the power button and multifunction button simultaneously for 4 seconds.
