PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE AND KEEP FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.

This toy runs on 2 x 1.5V AA batteries. Batteries included. The batteries included in the product at the time of purchase are supplied only for demonstration within the point of sale and must be replaced with new alkaline batteries immediately after purchase.

WARNINGS

For your child’s safety: WARNING!

  • Plastic bags and other components which are not part of the product (e.g. ties, fasteners, etc.) must be removed before use and kept out of reach of children. Choking hazard and suffocation risk.

  • Warning. Not suitable for children over 36 months. Maximum permitted weight 20 kg/44 lbs due to the structural characteristics of the product.

  • This product must only be assembled by an adult. Do not use the product until it has been fully assembled and checked.

  • This toy should only be used under the supervision of an adult.

  • Regularly inspect the product for signs of wear and damage. If the product is damaged do not use it, and keep it out of the reach of children.

  • Failure to check the assembled components (head and base) could result in falls.

  • In the event of faults only use original replacement parts

  • The toy must only be used on flat, level surfaces.

  • Do not use on roads, access roads, slopes or rough surfaces. Make sure that the toy is used in areas free from obstacles and away from places that could be dangerous (such as swimming pools, canals, lakes, stairs, etc.).

  • For indoor and outdoor domestic use only.

  • The toy can be used safely by only one child at a time. Never allow two or more children to use it at once.

  • Make sure that your child’s footwear is always correctly laced or fastened.

  • Do not use the product for anything other than its recommended use.

  • Do not leave the toy exposed to the elements (rain, direct sunlight, etc.).

  • Do not use this product in very cold temperatures as the plastic material of the product may lose its elasticity and become fragile.
    Should this happen, keep the product out of reach of children and store it in a warm and dry place.

  • This toy must be used with caution as children need a certain level of ability in order to be able to ride it safely and avoid falls or collisions which can cause injuries to users or third parties.

  • Children need to be taught how to use this toy properly before they are allowed to use it.

  • The product must be used by toddlers only when they are able to support themselves on the back without any help.

  • When the toy is in the rocking position make sure it is at least two metres from all other structures or obstacles.

  • Before using, check that the product and all of its components have not been damaged during transportation. Should any part be damaged, do not use and keep out of the reach of children.

INTRODUCTION

BABY RODEO is a multi-functional toy: Rocker, ride-on, and activity centre. The horse comes to life with lights and sounds thanks to the buttons located on the hat. This toy can be used as a rocker by children of 12 months upwards and in ride-on mode by children of 18 months and above.

PRODUCT ASSEMBLY

Follow the instructions from figure B to figure D.
Make sure that the components have clicked into place. Use a cross-head screwdriver (not supplied) to assemble the toy.
Assembling the base: Remove the two components of the base from the horse (Fig. B). Attach the two parts of the rocking base
together (FIG. C) and screw in the two screws provided (FIG. D). Make sure the screws are tight.

HOW TO PLAY

Rocker mode (12 months+): place the horse on the rocking base so that the rear wheel pins correspond with the relative niches on the top of the base. Push down on each of the 2 wheels until they click into place. Make sure they are securely fastened (Fig. E).
Ride-on mode (18 months+): Remove the rocking base.

The activity centre has three activation points:

  • Blue bird: press to activate lights and sounds.
  • Green gecko: press to activate lights and sounds.
  • Red squirrel: press to activate lights and sounds.
    When you have finished playing it is always advisable to switch off the toy by moving the switch to O.

FITTING AND/OR REPLACING BATTERIES

Non-rechargeable batteries must only be replaced by an adult only.

  • To replace the batteries: Loosen the 2 screws on the star (front of the hat) (Fig. G), remove the cover. Remove the flat batteries and fit new ones, ensuring that the poles are in the right direction (as shown on the product). Reposition the cover and tighten the screws.

  • Use alkaline batteries that are identical or equivalent to the type recommended for this product.

  • Never mix alkaline, standard (zinc-carbon) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.

  • Never mix new and old batteries.

  • Always keep batteries and tools out of reach of children.

  • Do not short-circuit the power terminals.

  • Always remove dead batteries from the product to avoid damaging the product should they leak.

  • Always remove the batteries if the product will not be used for a long period of time.

  • Remove the batteries from the product before disposal.

  • Do not throw dead batteries into a fire or leave them in the environment; they must be disposed of through waste sorting.

  • Should the batteries leak, replace them immediately, being careful to clean the battery compartment and wash hands thoroughly in the event of any contact with the battery fluid.

  • Do not try to recharge non-rechargeable batteries: they may explode.

  • The use of rechargeable batteries is not recommended as they may reduce the toy’s operability.

  • The toy is not designed to work with lithium batteries. WARNING: improper use may create hazardous conditions.

The crossed bin symbol on the appliance indicates that the product, at the end of its life, must be disposed of separately from domestic waste, either by taking it to a separate waste disposal site for electric and electronic appliances or by returning it to your dealer when you buy another similar appliance. The user is responsible for taking the appliance to a special waste disposal site at the end of its life. If the unwanted appliance is collected correctly as separate waste, it can be recycled, treated and disposed of ecologically; this avoids a negative impact on both the environment and health, and contributes towards the recycling of the product’s materials. For further information regarding the waste disposal services available, contact your local waste disposal agency or the shop where you bought the appliance.

The crossed bin symbol on the batteries indicates that, at the end of their life, they must be disposed of separately from domestic waste, either by taking them to a separate waste disposal site for batteries or by returning them to your dealer when you buy similar rechargeable or non-rechargeable batteries. The chemical symbols Hg, Cd, Pb, printed under the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol, indicate the type of substance contained in the batteries: Hg=Mercury, Cd=Cadmium, Pb=Lead. The user is responsible for taking the batteries to special waste disposal sites at the end of their life so they can be processed and recycled. The correct separate waste disposal of your old toy will help prevent potential negative consequences for the environment and human health and favour the recycling of the materials of which the product is made. Illegal disposal of the product by the user will damage the environment and human health. For further information regarding the waste disposal services available, contact your local waste disposal agency or the shop where you bought the appliance.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Use a soft cloth slightly dampened with water to clean the toy. Protect the toy from collisions, heat, dust, sand, humidity and water.

WARRANTY

The product is guaranteed against any conformity defect in normal conditions of use as provided for by the instructions. The warranty shall not therefore apply in the case of damage caused by improper use, wear or accidental events. For the duration of the warranty on conformity defects please refer to the specific provisions of applicable national laws in the country of purchase, where appropriate.
