AIR CONDITIONER SAFETY

• The safety of you and others is very important.
• We have provided many important safety information in this manual and on your appliance. Always read and obey all safety information.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, personal injury, or damage when using the air conditioner, please follow basic precautions, including the following:

• The appliance shall be stored in a well-ventilated area where the room size is not less than 43ft².

• Please read all of the instructions before using this appliance.

• Plug into a grounding 3-prong outlet.

• Do not remove the grounding prong.

• Do not use an adapter.

• Do not use an extension cord.

• Do not operate the air conditioner if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, or if it has been damaged or dropped.

• The air conditioner should be serviced only by qualified service personnel. Call an authorized service company for examination, repair, or adjustment.

• Disconnect the power before servicing.

• Disconnect the power before cleaning.
  NOTE: Turning off the power by pressing the Power button will NOT disconnect the appliance from the power supply.

• Do not install or use the air conditioner in any area where the atmosphere contains flammable gases or where the atmosphere is contaminated. Avoid any chemical contact with your air conditioner.

• Do not store anything directly on top of the air conditioner.

• The appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

• Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

• This appliance is not intended for people（including children）with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

• Use two or more people to move and install the air conditioner.

• Never operate the air conditioner without the filters in place.

• Do not use the air conditioner near a bathtub, shower or wash basin or other wet areas.

• Do not use means to accelerate the defrosting process or to clean, other than those recommended by the manufacturer.

• The appliance shall be stored in a room without continuously operating ignition sources (for example: open flames, an operating gas appliance or an operating electric heater). Do not pierce or burn.

• Be aware that refrigerants may not contain an odor.

• The appliance shall be stored properly to prevent mechanical damages from occurring.

• Any person who is involved with working on or entering a refrigerant circuit should hold a current valid certificate from an industry-accredited assessment authority which authorizes their competence to handle refrigerants safely in accordance with an industry-recognized assessment specification. Servicing shall only be performed as recommended by the equipment manufacturer. Maintenance and repair requiring the assistance of other skilled personnel shall be carried out under the supervision of the person competent in the use of flammable refrigerants.

• Before beginning the work on systems containing flammable refrigerants, safety checks are necessary to ensure that the risk of ignition is minimized. Work shall be undertaken under a controlled procedure to minimize the risk of a flammable gas or vapor being present while the work is being performed. All maintenance staff and others working in the local area shall be instructed on the nature of work being carried out. Work in confined spaces shall be avoided. The area around the workspace shall be sectioned off. Ensure that the conditions within the area have been made safe by the control of flammable materials.

• The area shall be checked with an appropriate refrigerant detector before and during the work to ensure the technician is aware of potentially flammable environment. Ensure that the leak detection equipment being used is suitable for use with flammable refrigerants. Make sure it is adequately sealed or intrinsically safe and no spark will be produced during the work.

• If any hot work is to be conducted on the refrigeration equipment or any associated parts, appropriate fire extinguishing equipment shall be available. Have a dry powder or CO² fire extinguisher adjacent to the charging area.

• No person carrying out work in relation to a refrigeration system that involves exposing any pipe work that contains or has contained flammable refrigerant shall use any sources of ignition in such a manner that it may lead to the risk of fire or explosion. All possible ignition sources, including cigarette smoking, should be kept sufficiently far away from the site of installation, repairing, removing and disposal. During the work, flammable refrigerant can possibly be released to the surrounding space. Before the work, the area around the equipment should be surveyed to make sure that there are no flammable hazards or ignition risks. “No Smoking” signs shall be displayed.

• Ensure that the area is in the open or that it is adequately ventilated before working upon the system or conducting any hot work. A degree of ventilation shall be guaranteed while the work is carried out. The ventilation should safely disperse any released refrigerant and preferably expel it externally into the atmosphere.

• Do not apply any permanent inductive or capacitance loads to the circuit without ensuring that this will not exceed the permissible voltage and the current permitted for the equipment in use. Intrinsically safe components are the only types that can be worked on in flammable environments. The test apparatus shall be at the correct rating. Replace components only with parts specified by the manufacturer. Other parts may result in the ignition of refrigerant in the atmosphere from a leak.

• Check that cabling will not be affected by wear, corrosion, excessive pressure, vibration, sharp edges or any other adverse environmental effects. The check shall also take into account the effects of aging or continual vibration from sources such as compressors or fans.

• Under no circumstances shall potential sources of ignition be used in the search for or detection of refrigerant leaks.

• A halide torch (or any other detector using open flames) shall not be used.

• Electronic leak detectors shall be used to detect flammable refrigerants, but the sensitivity may be inadequate or may need re-calibrating. (Detection equipment shall be calibrated in a refrigerant-free area.) Ensure that the detector is not a potential source of ignition and is suitable for the refrigerant used. Leak detection equipment shall be set at a percentage of the lower flammability limit (LFL) of the refrigerant and shall be calibrated to the refrigerant employed and the appropriate percentage of gas (25 % maximum) is confirmed. Leak detection fluids are suitable for use with most refrigerants but the use of detergents containing chlorine shall be avoided as the chlorine may react with the refrigerant and corrode the copper pipe work. If a leak is suspected, all open flames shall be removed/extinguished. If a leakage of refrigerant is found that requires brazing, all of the refrigerants shall be removed from the system, or isolated (by means of shut-off valves) in a part of the system which is remote from the leak. Oxygen free nitrogen (OFN) shall then be purged through the system both before and during the brazing process.

• When entering the refrigerant circuit to make repairs – or for any other purpose – conventional procedures shall be used. However, it is important that best practice is followed since flammability is a consideration. The following procedures shall be adhered to:

  • remove refrigerants;
  • purge the circuit with inert gas;
  • evacuate;
  • purge again with inert gas;
  • open the circuit by cutting or brazing.

• The refrigerant shall be recovered into the correct recovery cylinders. The system shall be “flushed” with OFN to render the unit safe. This process may need to be repeated several times. Compressed air or oxygen shall not be used for this task. Flushing shall be achieved by filling the refrigerant system with OFN. Boost the pressure by filling OFN continuously until the working pressure is achieved, and then lower the pressure to release OFN. Repeat the steps until there is no refrigerant remains in the system. This process shall be repeated until no refrigerant is in the system. When the final OFN charge is used, the system shall be vented down to atmospheric pressure for work. This operation is absolutely vital if brazing operations on the pipe-work are to take place. Ensure that the outlet for the vacuum pump is not close to any ignition sources and there is ventilation available.

• In addition to conventional charging procedures, the following requirements shall be followed.

  • Ensure that contamination of different refrigerants does not occur when using charging equipment. Hoses or lines shall be as short as possible to minimize the amount of refrigerant contained in them.
  • Cylinders shall be kept upright.
  • Ensure that the refrigeration system is earthed before filling the system with refrigerant.
  • Label the system when charging is complete (if not already).
  • Extreme care shall be taken not to overfill the refrigeration system.

• Before recharging the system, it shall be pressure-tested with OFN. The system shall be leak-tested on completion of charging but before the commissioning. A follow-up leak test shall be carried out before leaving the site.

• Before carrying out this procedure, it is essential that the technician is completely familiar with the equipment and all its details. It is recommended that all refrigerants are recycled safely. Before the task being carried out, an oil and refrigerant sample shall be taken in case analysis is required before the re-use of reclaimed refrigerant. It is essential that electrical power is available before the task is commenced.

  • Be familiar with the equipment and its operation.
  • Isolate the system electrically.
  • Before attempting the procedure, ensure that:
  • mechanical handling equipment is available, if required, for handling refrigerant cylinders;
  • all personal protective equipment is available and being used correctly;
  • the recovery process is supervised at all time by qualified personnel;
  • recycling the equipment and cylinders conform to the appropriate standards.
  • Pump down the refrigerant system if possible.
  • If a vacuum state can’t be achieved during the vacuum-pumping process for the refrigerant system, install a manifold so that the refrigerant can be totally removed from various parts of the system. Make sure that the cylinder is leveled and balanced before recycling.
  • The recycle and operation of the machine should be conducted in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Do not overfill cylinders (no more than 80 % of the liquid volume).
  • Do not exceed the maximum working pressure of the cylinder, even temporarily.
  •  When the cylinders have been filled correctly and the process completed, make sure that the cylinders and the equipment are removed from site promptly and all isolation valves on the equipment are closed off.

• The refrigerant recovered shall not be charged into another refrigeration system unless it has been cleaned and checked.

• Equipment shall be labeled stating that it has been decommissioned and emptied of refrigerant. The label shall be dated and signed. Ensure that there are labels on the equipment stating the equipment contains flammable refrigerant.

• When removing the refrigerant from a system, it is recommended that all refrigerants are removed safely either for servicing or for decommissioning. When transferring refrigerants into cylinders, ensure that only appropriate refrigerant recovery cylinders are employed. Ensure that the correct number of cylinders is available to hold the total charge of the system. All cylinders to be used are designated for the recovered refrigerant and are labeled for that refrigerant (i.e. special cylinders for the recovery of refrigerant). Cylinders shall be complete with pressure-relief valves and associated with shut-off valves in good working condition. Before recovery, empty the recovery cylinder and cool down if possible. The recovery equipment shall be in good working condition with a set of instructions concerning the equipment that is at hand and it shall be suitable for the recovery of flammable refrigerants. In addition, a set of calibrated weighing scales shall be available and in good working condition. Hoses shall be complete with leak-free disconnect couplings and shall be in good condition. Before using the recovery machine, check that it is in satisfactory working condition and has been properly maintained. Ensure that any associated electrical components are sealed to prevent ignition in the event of a refrigerant release. Consult the manufacturer if in doubt. The recovered refrigerant shall be returned to the refrigerant supplier in the correct recovery cylinder, and the relevant Waste Transfer Note arranged. Do not mix refrigerants in recovery units and especially not in cylinders. If compressors or compressor oils are to be removed, ensure that they have been evacuated to an acceptable level to make certain that flammable refrigerant does not remain in the lubricant. The evacuation process shall be carried out before returning the compressor to the suppliers. Only electric heating to the compressor body shall be employed to accelerate this process. When oil is drained from a system, it shall be carried out safely.

INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS

TOOLS AND PARTS

• Gather the required tools and parts before starting the installation.

TOOLS NEEDED

• Flat-blade Screwdriver
• Phillips Screwdriver

LOCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Place the air conditioner on a flat and level surface in a location that is at least 20 inches from any wall.
• NOTE: A minimum clearance of 20 inches from the air conditioner to the wall must be maintained to ensure proper airflow.
• Maintain a minimum 20-inch clearance around the air conditioner to not block the airflow.
• Keep the air conditioner free of any obstructions such as drapes, curtains, blinds, etc.
• The exhaust hose should be free of any obstructions.
• Do not place the air conditioner on an unstable or raised surface because it could fall and cause damage or injury.
• Do not place the air conditioner in direct sunlight or near a heat source such as baseboard heaters, stoves, etc.

POWER SUPPLY CORD

Wiring Requirements

• 115 Volt, 60Hz, 15-amp fused grounding 3-prong outlet
• The use of a time-delay fuse or time-delay circuit breaker is recommended.
• Use a dedicated circuit only.

NOTE: Do not operate any other electrical appliances on this circuit or the circuit breaker/fuse may trip.
If this power supply cord is damaged, it cannot be repaired. It must be replaced with a cord from the product manufacturer.
If the power supply cord is damaged, please contact Customer Service.

To test the power supply cord before the operation

1. Plug the power cord into a grounding 3-prong outlet.
2. Press the Test button, and then press and release the Reset button to restore the power.

REQUIRED GROUNDING METHOD

• This air conditioner must be grounded.
• The air conditioner is equipped with a power supply cord that has a 3-prong grounding plug.
• The power supply cord must be plugged into a matching 3-prong grounding outlet and must be grounded in accordance with all local codes and regulations.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1 – UNPACK THE AIR CONDITIONER

WARNING

Excessive Weight Hazard

• Move and install air conditioners by two or more people.
• Failure to do so can result in back or other injury.

Remove packaging materials. Save the carton and the foam packaging for storing the air conditioner when not in use.
NOTE: There are NO packing materials inside the air conditioner to remove—Do Not open the cabinet.
Properly dispose of/recycle all packing materials.
Handle the air conditioner gently.
Keep the air conditioner upright and level. Do not operate the air conditioner with its side, front, back or upside down.
STEP 2 – TWIST THE EXHAUST HOSE CONNECTOR ONTO THE EXHAUST HOSE

• A. Grasp both ends of the exhaust hose and pull gently to expand the hose.
  NOTE: Do not attach additional hoses to extend the length. This would decrease cooling efficiency and may damage the air conditioner.

• B. Using a counterclockwise motion, attach the open end of the exhaust hose to the exhaust nozzle.

STEP 3 – CONNECT THE EXHAUST HOSE TO THE AIR CONDITIONER
IMPORTANT: When connecting the hose, the air conditioner must be close enough to the window in case the window seal plate comes off. Once the hose is connected, move the air conditioner 20” (51 cm) from the wall.

• A. Slide the exhaust hose assembly from the outer air outlet to the right
• B. The assembly is completed until the convex point of the inner joint and the concave point of the air outlet are stuck.

STEP 4 – INSTALL WINDOW PANELS
It depends on the size of your window opening to use the main panel with one or both of the extension panels.

• A. Open the window and place the main window panel into the window.
  NOTE: The window assembly is designed to accommodate either a vertical- slide window or a horizontal-slide one.

• B. Take out the butterfly nut from the user manual’s bag and disassemble the screws in the following directions.

• C. Lock the butterfly nut on panel A, but do not lock the butterfly nut tightly leaving a clearance of 0.1 inch.

• D. Connect with panel B, and adjust the panel(s) to the width or height of the window as shown.

• E. Fasten the butterfly nut to fix the window slide set.

STEP 5 – COMPLETE THE INSTALLATION
Make room for the installation of the window slide set when the window is closed so that the window opening can be covered completely. Place the device at least 20 inches away from walls and other objects.

NOTE

• Some window installations may require the extension panels to be trimmed.
• Slide the adapter downwards and ensure the adapter installed is in good position.
• Ensure the slant panel direction matches the seal-plate direction.
• The exhaust hose cannot be bent or be used with flexure over 45˚ to keep good ventilation for the exhaust hose.

WARNING

• Do not use an extension cord.
• Failure to do so can result in death, fire or electrical shock.

1. Plug the power cord into a grounding 3-prong outlet.
2. Press the Reset button on the power cord to ensure the safety plug is providing power to the air conditioner.

CONTROL PANEL

BUTTONS

TIMER BUTTON
Program a time (from 1 hour to 24 hours) for the air conditioner to turn Off or On. When a Time Delay is programmed, the Timer indicator light will light up.

While the air conditioner is operating

1. Press the Timer button.
2. Press the Up/Down arrow buttons to select the number of hours you want the air conditioner to continue to operate before turning Off.

While the air conditioner is off

1. Press the Timer button.
2. Press the Up/Down arrow buttons to select the number of hours you want the air conditioner to remain off before turning On.
   NOTE: Wait approximately 5 seconds for the Turn-On time to be saved.

To cancel the timer

• Press the Timer button once, the hours remaining will flash; press the timer button again and the timer will be canceled.

FAN SPEED BUTTON

• The fan speed can be adjusted from Low, Medium, to High speed when the air conditioner is in operation.
• NOTE: The fan speed cannot be adjusted when the unit is in Dehum mode.
• Press the Fan Speed button to switch between the two speeds. The corresponding fan speed indicator will light up.

CONTROL PANEL DISPLAY
Display the Set Temperature in degrees Fahrenheit or degrees Celsius, or the hours remaining in a Time Delay. The corresponding indicator light will light up.

UP AND DOWN ARROW BUTTONS
Adjust the Temperature or Hour in Time Delay.

To Set the Temperature
The temperature can be set between 62℉ and 86℉ (17℃ and 30℃) when the air conditioner is in Cool mode.

1. Press the Mode button until the Cool mode is selected.
2. Press the Up Arrow or Down Arrow buttons to select the temperature.

NOTE: The temperature cannot be set when the air conditioner is in either Fan or Dehum mode.
NOTE: The Up Arrow and Down Arrow buttons, when pressed at the same time, allow you to select the the temperature unit between ℃ and ℉ on the display. The corresponding indicator will light up.

MODE BUTTON

• Press the Mode button to switch among the operating options. The corresponding indicator will light up:
• Heat (on some models) – Heat the room to the set temperature
• Cool – Cool the room to the set temperature
• Dehum – Reduce the humidity in the room
• Fan – Circulate the air in the room without cooling

POWER BUTTON

• Turn ON/OFF the power to the air conditioner.
• NOTE: Turning off power by pressing the Power button does NOT disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
• Press the Power button. The Power indicator will light up.

REMOTE CONTROL

1. Power On and Off – When the unit is plugged in, press the POWER button to turn on the unit. Press the POWER button once more to turn off the unit.

2. Press the Mode Button to switch among the operating options. The corresponding indicator will light up:
   Heat (on some models) – Heat the room to the set temperature
   Cool – Cool the room to the set temperature
   Dehum – Reduce the humidity in the room
   Fan – Circulate the air in the room without cooling

3. Fan Speed – Press the Fan button to adjust the fan speed. When the unit is in Dehumidify mode, the fan speed cannot be changed.

4. Temperature Setting – When the unit is in cool mode, you can select your desired temperature. Press the ▲ or ▼ to select your desired temperature setting.

5. SLEEP button
   Increase the set temperature by 1℉ (1℃) after 2 hours, and then increase the temperature by an additional 1℉ (1℃) after another 2 hours.
   NOTE: The fan will operate at Low speed and cannot be adjusted while in Sleep mode.
   Press the Sleep button to enter Sleep mode. The Sleep indicator will light up.
   To Cancel Sleep Mode:
   Press the Sleep button or the Mode button on the remote control.

TIMER

• Auto-On: Press the TIMER button when the unit is off to set up the Auto-on timer. Press the ▲ or ▼ to set timer within 1-24 hours.
• Auto-Off: Press the TIMER button when the unit is on to set up the Auto-off timer. Press the ▲ or ▼ to set timer within 1-24 hours. To cancel the timer, press the TIMER button until the timer mode is turned off.

Auto Swing

• Open and close the louvers to direct the airflow.

NOTE

• Insert two AAA batteries.
• Do not use rechargeable batteries.
• When replacing the battery, please replace 2 batteries at the same time. Do not mix old batteries with new ones.
• If you do not use this unit for a long time, please take out the battery of the remote control and store it properly.

WARNING

• If the battery liquid of the remote control leaks on your skin or clothes, please rinse with plenty of water as soon as possible; if you find a leak, please do not use the remote control.
• If you swallow the battery liquid, rinse your mouth and seek medical attention as soon as possible. The chemical substances in the battery may burn or cause other health hazards.

SAFETY PROTECTIONS

Water-full safety alarm and shut-off protection function
When the water volume exceeds its alarm level in chassis, warning sounds will ring automatically and the water-full icon will light up on the display. You need to drain the water and restart the unit (for more information about how to drain, refer to the “Drainage Instruction” please). If the unit is not shut down manually, it will return to the original operating status automatically once the water is fully drained. Or you can connect the power to restart the unit.

Anti-frozen protection function
Under COOLING mode, when the compressor continuously runs over 10 minutes and if the tube temperature is ≤2℃ /36℉ for 20 seconds, the anti-frozen protection function will be on, E4 will be shown on LED display, and the compressor and water wheel motor will stop working, but the upper fan will remain running; if the tube temperature ≥8℃/46 ℉, the unit will stop anti-frozen protection and return to the original working condition. Compressor will restart after 3 minutes’ delay for protection.

Delay protection function of the compressor
This unit offers re-start protection to compressor. Except that the compressor may start immediately when the unit is energized first time, there is a 3-minute delay of the re-start protection when the compressor restarts after it stops running.

Coil and room temperature sensor failure

1. Detect sensor failure at the beginning of power-on or during the power-on state
2. When a sensor failure is detected at the beginning of power-on, it will immediately enter the failure state. If it returns to normal at this time, it will enter the standby state;

USE THE AIR CONDITIONER

IMPORTANT: If the air conditioner has been tilted on its side, wait 24 hours before turning on the air conditioner to allow the oil to return to the compressor. This will prevent the air conditioner from failing prematurely.
Hold the handles on side panels to move the unit in upright position.

NOTE

• Do not hold the louver.
• Make the unit in the upright position whenever handling or moving it.
• Drain the water in the unit completely before handling or moving the unit to prevent water leakage wetting the floor or carpet.

DRAIN THE INTERNAL WATER
You will need a small pan to catch the water coming out of the water tank. Once the water tank is empty, the unit will resume operation within a few minutes.

MANUAL DRAINAGE

1. Once the unit shuts down upon water-full, turn off the unit and then unplug.
2. Put the tray below the water outlet at the back of the unit.
3. Unscrew the drain cover, and unplug the water stopper to allow the water flow into the tray.
4. Insert the stopper and screw the drain cover tightly onto the water outlet after drainage.

Note

• Protect the drain cover and the water stopper properly.
• It is necessary to move the unit carefully to avoid leakage.
• Tilt the unit slightly backwards when draining.
• Block the drain hole as soon as possible before the tray is full, if it cannot hold all water in the unit, to prevent the water leakage and prevent the floor or carpet from getting wet.
• Water stopper and drain cover must be tightly installed to avoid the new condensate wetting the floor or carpet when the unit starts working again.

CONTINUOUS DRAINAGE

1. Unscrew the drain cover & unplug the water stopper.

2. Connect drain-hole with φ0.5 inch drain hose as deep as possible to avoid leakage.
   NOTE: If you need the plastic drainage pipe, please purchase one with its internal diameter 0.5 inch and its length according to the need.

3. Pull the drain hose to bathroom or outdoor.

Note

• Drain hose must be installed when there’s no water in the tray.
• It is suggested not to operate continuous drainage when the unit is in COOL mode to ensure enough water recycle in the unit to enhance the cooling effects.
• It is suggested to adopt continuous drainage when the unit is in HEAT mode to avoid frequent drainage.
• Put the drain hose in an inaccessible place, not higher than the drainage hole and keep the drain hose straight without any bends.
• Keep the drain cover and its stopper properly when continuous drainage is adopted.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

WARNING
Be sure to turn off the unit and pull out the plug before maintaining or sending to service center.

SURFACE CLEANING

• Unplug the appliance before cleaning.
• Clean the unit surface with wet soft cloth and do not use chemical solvents, such as alcohol and gasoline, to avoid any damage to unit. Any thinner, alcoholic extracts (which may affect the glossiness of the surface) or other similar solvents is prohibited for the cleaning of the unit.
• Clean the dirty air outlet or louvers with wet soft cloth and detergent. Any chemical solvent is prohibited to be used for the cleaning of the unit or to be put near the unit for a long time.

FILTER CLEANING

• Clean the filter once every two weeks, or it would influence the unit’s function if the filter is clogged with dust.
• Grip the filter handle and pull it out gently in the correct direction. Clean the dirty particles in the filter by cleaner if it is necessary. Immerse the filter into and wash it gently with warm water (about 104℉) mixed with neutral cleaner, and then rinse and dry them thoroughly in the shade.

Note

• Pull out the filter gently.
• The removal of the filter at the back panel has higher priority than that of the filter at the side panel to avoid any twist or damage to filter to avoid any twist or damage to filter.
• Do not squash or hit the mesh with sharp objects or brushes.
• Do not use the appliance without installing the filter.

INTERNAL WATER TANK
When the internal water is full of condensed water, the Water-Full indicator will light up.
To Empty the Internal Water Tank:

1. Unplug or disconnect the power.
2. Place a shallow pan (not included) with its volume of 1 quart or more below the lower drain located on the back (near the bottom) of the air conditioner.
3. Remove the cap and the rubber plug, and then drain the water tank.
4. Re-insert the rubber plug and screw the cap tightly in place.
5. Plug in or reconnect the power.

STORAGE
Please store the air conditioner properly if not in use.

1. Unscrew the drain cover and pull out the stopper to drain the condensed water completely. Or, tilt the unit to drain water.
2. Keep the unit running in fan mode for a half day to dry the inside completely to prevent it from going moldy.
3. Turn off the unit, pull out the plug, wrap the power cord around the wire-winding pillar, insert the plug into the universal fixing hole at the back panel of the unit, and install the water stopper and the drain cover.
4. Remove the heat exhaust hose for assembly. Clean and keep it properly.
5. Take out the batteries from the remote controller and place it in the remote control box.

Ensure the unit is stored in a dry place. All accessories of the unit shall be protected together properly. Keep the unit away from children.

TROUBLESHOOTING

First try the solutions suggested here to avoid the possible cost of a service call.

The unit fails to start up.

| Power supply failure| Connect the unit to a live socket and

turn it on.

Water is full and its icon lights up.| Drain the water stored in the unit.
The ambient temperature is too low or too

high.

| It is recommended to use this unit

between 41－95℉.

The room temperature is lower than the set temperature in cooling mode or higher in

heating mode.

Change the set temperature.

Bad cooling or heating effects

| There is direct sunlight.| Close the window curtain.

The doors and windows are open, the room is crowded or there are other heat sources.

| Close the door and window, remove other heat sources, and add new

air-conditioners.

Dirty filter| Clean or replace the filter mesh.
The air inlet or air outlet is clogged.| Remove the obstruction.
High noise level| The unit is being placed at an uneven surface.| Put the unit at a flat and firm place

( which may reduce the noise).

The compressor does not work.

Initiation of the overheat protection

| Wait for 3 minutes until the temperature decreases. The unit will

restart automatically.

The remote control does not work.

| Distance is too far between the remote and

the signal receptor.

|

Bring the remote control close to the air conditioner and ensure it aims at the signal receptor.

The remote control doesn’t aim at the signal

receptor on the unit.

The batteries have no electricity.| Replace the batteries.

“E1” code is displayed.

The warranty commences the day the product is purchased and covers up to a period of 1 year (12 months) for parts (manufacturing defects only).
