SERVICE

  • After any maintenance operation, the tripod must be tested to ensure that it is working properly.

ROUTINE MAINTENANCE

  • Sport 200 should be carefully periodically inspected and any damaged part immediately replaced to prevent failures that might compromise the per-sonnel’s safety and the tripod functionality.
  • After being exposed to rain, salted water, sand dust or mud the tripod should be cleaned of all residues with clear water, compressed air and a non abrasive cloth. Carefully dry before storing.

EXTRA MAINTENANCE AND SPARE PARTS

  • Whatever extra maintenance requires to be carried out by CARTONI’s own technical servicing staff or an authorized service station appointed by CAR-TONI.
  • Information on authorized service station staff can be obtained by contact-ing CARTONI or www.cartoni.com
  • For fast, effective problem solving CARTONI should be informed of the tripod model and the nature of the defect or its visible symptoms when the problem arises.
  • All maintenance on the tripod must be carried out by competent and instructed personnel on the operative safety methods of the tripod; all warranty conditions are invalidated should any repair operation be attempted by anyone not authorized by CARTONI
  • Items whose center of gravity (CG) is too close to the opened tripod base diameter (Jib arms, Teleprompters, ecc.) could cause the tripod to tip over; use additional precaution to avoid accidents.

DECOMMISSIONING

  • In case the tripod becomes beyond repair it should be placed out of service or at least clearly labeled as “out of order”.

  • Since the tripod is largely made of aluminum and steel most of its materials can be recycled.

  • Once a Sport 200 is decommissioned, it is advisable to separate its various materials for differentiated utilization or disposal, according the national regulations. Since none of the materials used on the tripod are toxic or may cause a risk to the health of its operators, they can be handled without the need for any special precautions.

  • The dismantling of the tripod at the end of its life must be carried out by competent and trained personnel.
