Product Usage Instructions

  1. Make sure the appliance is protected from electric shocks andnot exposed to rain or moisture.
  2. If the appliance is no longer in use and you decide not to repair it, it is recommended to render it unusable by cutting the power cord. Do not bring the power cord close to objects.
  3. After each use, wait for the blades to come to a complete stop before removing the mixture from the container.
  4. After using the appliance, it is recommended to wrap the powercord to ensure cleanliness and avoid damage.
  5. When working with fruits, remove pits and any hard peels.
  6. For cleaning, it is advised to use warm water and limit the use of detergents. Rinse thoroughly in such cases.
  7. Do not immerse the motor body in water or other liquids; clean it using a damp cloth.
  8. Be cautious while cleaning and removing preparations as the chopper blades are very sharp.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • The following are important notes on the installation, use and maintenance; save this instruction manual for future reference; use the equipment only as specified in this guide; any other use is considered improper and dangerous; therefore, the manufacturer cannot be held responsible in the event of damages caused by improper, incorrect or unreasonable use.
  • Before use, ensure the equipment is undamaged; if in doubt, do not attempt to use it and contact the authorized service center; do not leave packing materials (i.e. plastic bags, polystyrene foam, nails, staples, etc.) within the reach of children as they are potential sources of danger; always remember that they must be separately collected. Make sure that the rating information given on the technical label are compatible with those of the electricity grid; the installation must be performed according to the manufacturer’s instructions considering the maximum power of the appliance as shown on the label; an incorrect installation may cause damage to people, animals or things, for which the manufacturer cannot be considered responsible thereof.
  • If it is necessary to use adapters, multiple sockets or electrical extensions, use only those that comply with current safety standards; in any case do not exceed the power consumption limits indicated on the electrical adapter and / or extensions, as well as the maximum power shown on multiple adaptor.
  • Do not leave the unit plugged; better to remove the plug from the mains when the device is not in use. Always disconnect from power supply if you leave it unattended. Cleaning operations should be carried out after unplugging the unit.
  • If the unit is out of order and you do not want to fix it, it must be made inoperable by cutting power cord.
    • Do not allow the power cord to get closer to sharp objects or in contact with hot surfaces; do not pull it to disconnect the plug.
    • Do not use the appliance in the event of damage to the power cord, plug, or in case of short circuits; to repair the product only address an authorized service center.
    • Do not handle or touch the appliance with wet hands or bare feet. Do not expose the appliance to harmful weather conditions such as rain, moisture, frost, etc.. Always store it in a dry place.
    • This appliance cannot be used by children, even if they’re more than 8 years old.
    • This appliance can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they received supervision or instruction concerning use of appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
    • Children must not play with the appliance.
    • Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
  • If the power cord is damaged, or in case of failure and / or malfunction do not tamper with the unit. The reparation must be done by manufacturer or by service center authorized by the manufacturer in order to prevent any risk. Failure to comply with the above may compromise the unit safety and invalidate the warranty.
    • This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as: staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments; by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments; farm houses, bed and breakfast type environments.
    • The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
    • Before every use, unroll the power cord.
    • Use original spare parts and accessories only.
    • Do not subject the product to strong impacts, serious damages may result.
    • Do not use near or under flammable materials (like curtains), heat, cold spots and steam.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Before using the appliance, wash the set designed to be in contact with food as the container, the lid, the rostrum and the blade.
Caution : close the lid before turning on the unit.

  • Unplug the unit from the electrical outlet before touching any attachments and/or accessory, especially the blade set.
  • Do not insert large pieces in the container, especially hard food (carrots, celery …). It is advisable to pre-chop the food.
  • Don’t let appliance running continuously for more than 10 seconds, interval with at least 2 minutes rest
  • Unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet immediately after using and / or before touching any accessory, especially the blades. If some food stops the blades before removing it, unplug the unit from the electrical outlet.
  • Do not insert hot food(maximum temperature 50oC). Not exceed the maximum capacity for ingredients as indicated in the Operating section.
  • At the end of processing, wait for the blade to completely

stops before removing the food from the glass container. When finished using the unit, it is advisable to wrap the power cord so as to ensure a better cleaning, avoiding any risk of damage.
When mincing fruits, remove the pit and/or any tough rind.
For cleaning, we recommend using warm water only, limiting the use of detergents. In this case, rinse the part profusely. Do not immerse the motor unit in water or other liquids; clean it with a damp cloth.
Caution: blades are very sharp; pay attention not to cut yourself while removing the attachment or during cleaning operations.

OPERATION

  • Fasten the work bowl (2) to the motor block (1) (fig. B).

  • Secure the blade group (3) to the rotating pin (1a), making sure it clips into place (fig. B). Blades (3) are sharp, handle them with the utmost care. Put the food in the work bowl (2) (making sure to comply with the quantities reported in the “quantities and timeframes” table). Pour thinly sliced pieces of food in the work bowl (2).

  • Place the lid (4) over the motor block (1) (fig. C).

  • Connect the plug to the power socket.

  • Turn appliance ON by exerting a slight pressure on the lid (4) with the palm of your hand (fig. C).
    If the appliance fails to start once this operation is concluded, ascertain that possible pieces of food are not stuck between the lid (4) and the edge of the work bowl (2), thus preventing lid (4) from sliding in.

  • To stop the appliance, just release the lid (4). Locking latches have been supplied to stop the blade group (3) almost immediately. Wait until the blades come to a complete standstill before removing lid (4).

  • To retrieve the blade group (3), press the central switch (3a) and lift the work bowl (2) simultaneously (fig. D). Before pulling out the lid (4), ALWAYS disconnect the plug from the power socket.

Useful tips

  • Blending results depend on how long the appliance has been running.
  • To obtain tiny and consistently chopped ingredients, exert a slight pressure on the lid and remove, if need be, any piece of food reclined against the work bowl wall, using the spatula (5) to bring it back to the centre.
  • If chopping consistency tend to diminish after a long period of operation, replace the blade.

CLEANING

ALWAYS disconnect plug from the power socket before carrying out any cleaning operation.

  • Run a damp cloth over the motor block (1) for cleaning the use of abrasive detergents. Never immerse the block motor (1) in water, or any other liquid for that matter. Never wash the motor block (1) in the dishwasher (fig. M).
  • Apart from the motor block (1), every other attachment can be washed in lukewarm water with standard washing-up liquid.
  • Apart from motor block (1), the above attachments are totally dishwasher-safe, provided the temperature does not exceed 65°C (fig. M). Blades (3) are sharp, handle them with the utmost care.
  • Ingredients may sometinmes leave colour marks on the appliance attachments (for instance, streaks of orange after cutting carrots), which can be removed by dipping a cloth into edible oil.
    Before re-connecting the plug into the power socket, make sure the appliance and all its corresponding attachments are perfectly dry.
