Fastlane Pro Winterization Pool

Salt-Chlorine Pools
Placing a Fastlane Pro in a pool sanitized by a salt-chlorine generator creates an increased risk of excessive corrosion of metallic components which can lead to a hydraulic system failure. For this reason, it’s recommended to replace the hydraulic motor (underwater motor) and the submersible hydraulic hoses every two years. In efforts to extend the life of the underwater hydraulic motor and submersible hoses, it is recommended for the Fastlane Pro be removed from the swimming pool and winterized during the off-season.
Recommended Method:

1. Turn off the circuit breaker to the hydraulic power unit.
2. Remove the Fastlane Pro from the swimming pool and rinse the unit with fresh water before storing.
3. Use the appropriate hydraulic fittings to cap the hydraulic hoses (fittings are available for purchase from Endless Pools Customer Service).
4. Cover/protect the hydraulic power unit for the duration of the off-season.

Non-Salt-Chlorine Pools

Recommended Method:

1. Turn off the circuit breaker to the hydraulic power unit.
2. Remove the Fastlane Pro from the swimming pool and rinse the unit with fresh water before storing.
3. Use the appropriate hydraulic fittings to cap the hydraulic hoses (fittings are available for purchase from Endless Pools Customer Service).
4. Cover/protect the hydraulic power unit for the duration of the off-season.

Alternate Method:

1. Turn off the circuit breaker to the hydraulic power unit.
2. Leave the Fastlane Pro in the swimming pool.
3. Winterize the pool as it’s typically done.
4. Cover/protect the hydraulic power unit for the duration of the off-season.

• IF the hydraulic power unit shares the same electrical circuit with another piece of equipment that requires power during the winter:

  1. Leave the circuit breaker on.
  2. Disconnect the float level switch cord (square BLACK plug on top of the power unit reservoir).
  3. Protect/cover the float level cords end connector and the top of the float level switch from water intrusion. Take care not to lose the cord gasket.
