ENDLESS POOLS Swim Current
Product Information
The swim current is operated using a remote control. Two remote controls have been provided with your system and have been packaged inside the power unit control box along with the antenna kit. The swim current is turned on through the use of the remote control, which also adjusts the speed of the current. The ON/OFF BUTTON (middle button) is used to TURN ON the swim current. The FASTER BUTTON (up button) is used to INCREASE the SPEED, while the SLOWER BUTTON (down button) is used to DECREASE THE SPEED. The controller for the swim machine is designed with a ramp-up feature which forces the swim machine to start slowly, but will increase to the last setting at which someone swam. The Digital Pace Display indicates the water flow from the swim current equivalent of swimming 100 yards (or 100 meters) in a traditional lap pool in the indicated amount of time (displayed as minutes:seconds). As the current speed is increased, the value the display reads decreases, since the faster you swim the less time it takes to swim 100 yards (100 meters). The Digital Pace Display can also be programmed to display percentage of the swim current speed. After six years of operation, hydraulic system maintenance is required. It is recommended to replace the submerged hydraulic motor, hydraulic fluid, and oil filter after 500 hours of use. A list of the recommended and optional replacement parts is supplied with the tune-up letter.
Product Usage Instructions
- Find the remote control in the power unit control box along with the antenna kit.
- Press the ON/OFF BUTTON (middle button) to turn on the swim current.
- Upon initial start-up you will find that the unit has been set to its lowest speed; which is a barely perceptible current.
- Press and hold the FASTER BUTTON (up button) to increase the speed and the SLOWER BUTTON (down button) to decrease the speed. Wait a few seconds for the current to adjust after changing the speed.
- Set the water speed at a comfortable level for your needs. Remember, since you don’t have to turn in an Endless Pool, your workout is continuous, and you will tire faster than when swimming laps in a traditional pool.
- Press the ON/OFF BUTTON to turn off the swim current. If left running, the power unit will turn off automatically after thirty minutes and can be restarted by pressing the ON/OFF BUTTON again.
- When learning to swim in the swim current, it is often useful to allow yourself to drift back to the rear of the pool. Let your feet rest on the rear bench and then swim forward into position. By starting from the back, you can get a feel for just how much room you have. When swimming, center your outstretched arm about one foot from the front grill.

PRESS the ON/OFF BUTTON to TURN OFF the swim current. If left running, the power unit will turn off automatically after thirty minutes and can be restarted by pressing the on/off button again. Once you have found an optimal speed for yourself, you may leave the system at that setting. The controller for the swim machine is designed with a “ramp-up” feature which forces the swim machine to start slowly, but will increase to the last setting at which someone swam. Swim Current Maintenance
After six years of operation, hydraulic system maintenance is required. We will send you a letter detailing our recommendation that the submerged hydraulic motor be replaced. This procedure does require the pool to be drained to 6” (15cm) in the standard-depth section of the pool. Additionally, it is recommended to replace the hydraulic fluid and oil filter after 500 hours of use. A list of the recommended and optional replacement parts is supplied with the tune-up letter.
