Product Usage Instructions

  1. Connect the Satellite Input Coax connector (SWM-1 SATELLITE) to the appropriate satellite source.
  2. Connect the Analog Audio/Composite Video Output connector (AV OUT) to your audio or video equipment using the Mini DIN to RCA cable.
  3. If needed, connect an external IR receiver or external IR blaster to the EXTERNAL REMOTE port.
  4. Connect the Optical Digital Audio Output connector (DIGITAL OUT) to your compatible audio device.
  5. Connect the HDMI connector (HDMI) to your HDMI-compatible TV or display.
  6. Connect any USB devices to the USB ports (USB 1 and USB 2) if required.
  7. Connect the Ethernet port (ETHERNET) to your wired network for internet access.
  8. Connect the DC power connector (POWER DC 12V IN) to the provided EPS10 External Power Supply.
  9. Install the Access Card (SIM card) into the Access Card Interface on the side panel of the product.
  10. Place the product on a suitable surface or mount it using the VESA mounts on the bottom panel.
  11. Use the RC71/RC72/RC73 remote control (IR or RF) to control the product’s functions.

Important Safety Instructions

    Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.

  13. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped. Ensure proper ventilation—the vent slots on the DIRECTV® Receiver must be left uncovered to allow proper airflow to the unit. Blocking the airflow to the unit could impair performance or damage your Receiver and other components.

  14. U se only the power supply (power cord) that came with your DIRECTV Receiver. Failure to use the authorized power supply (power cord) may cause electric shock, fire, bodily injury and/or property damage. If the power supply (power cord) becomes damaged or needs to be replaced, please contact DIRECTV Customer Service to obtain an authorized replacement.
