Product Information

The GEEK A5 128g AIR FRYER GRILL Model No.: GFG06 is an electrical appliance that can be used for cooking food using air fry technology. It has a power of 1500 W and requires a voltage of 120 V and a frequency of 60 Hz. The product comes with a detachable power cord and includes a main unit, air fry basket, cooking pot, unit holder, and handle. The product has a control panel that includes a power button, start/stop button, time/temperature button, and time or temperature indicator.

Product Usage Instructions

Before using the product, read all the safety and operating instructions carefully. To use the product:

  1. Place the product on a flat, stable surface away from hot gas or electric burners or heated ovens.
  2. Attach the plug to the appliance first, then plug the cord into the wall outlet.
  3. Press the power button to enter into standby mode.
  4. Open the cooking pot and place the food in the air fry basket.
  5. Close the cooking pot and lay down the handle.
  6. Press the start/stop button to begin cooking. To pause cooking at any time, press the start/stop button again.
  7. To adjust the time or temperature, press the time/temperature button and enter into adjusting mode. Use the – or + button to adjust time or temperature as required.
  8. To check or add food ingredients during the cooking process, take out the main unit. The unit will stop cooking automatically. Put the main unit at the cooking pot in place again, lay down the handle, and press the start/stop button to go on the cooking process.
  9. After cooking, turn off the appliance and unplug it from the socket.
  10. Allow the product to cool before cleaning, disassembly, putting in or taking off parts and storage.
  11. Refer to the Cleaning & Maintenance section for regular maintenance of the appliance.

  7. When using this appliance, provide at least 6 inches (15.25 cm) of space above and on all sides for air circulation.
  8. DO NOT use an extension cord. A short power-supply cord is used to reduce the risk of children grabbing the cord or becoming entangled and to reduce the risk of people tripping over a longer cord.
  9. To protect against electrical shock. DO NOT immerse cord, plugs, or main unit housing in water or other liquid.
  10. DO NOT use the appliance if there is damage to the power cord or plug. Regularly inspect the appliance and power cord. If the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any way, immediately stop use and call Customer Service.
  11. NEVER use outlet below the countertop surface.
  12. DO NOT place appliances and let cord hang over edges of tables, and counters or touch hot surfaces.
  13. Only use recommended accessories included with this appliance. The use of accessories or attachments not recommended may cause a risk of fire or injury.
  14. Before placing any accessory into the cooker, ensure they are clean and dry.
  15. DO NOT move the appliance when in use.
  16. DO NOT cover the air intake vent or air outlet vent while unit is operating. Doing so will prevent even cooking and may damage the unit or cause it to overheat.
  17. DO NOT touch hot surfaces. Appliance surfaces are hot during and after operation. To prevent burns or personal injury, ALWAYS use protective hot pads or insulated oven mitts and use available handles and knobs.
  18. DO NOT touch accessories during or immediately after cooking. The accessories becomes extremely hot during the cooking process. Avoid physical contact while removing the accessory from the appliance. DO NOT use this appliance for deep-frying.
  19. Should a grease fire occur or the unit emits black smoke, unplug it immediately. Wait for smoking to stop before removing any cooking accessories.
  20. Please refer to the Cleaning & Maintenance section for regular maintenance of the appliance.
  21. To disconnect, turn off, then unplug from socket when not in use and before cleaning.
  22. Allow to cool before cleaning, disassembly, putting in or taking off parts and storage.
  23. DO NOT clean with metal scouring pads. Pieces can break off the pad and touch electrical parts, creating a risk of electric shock.
  24. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children.
  25. DO NOT place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
  26. Always attach plug to the appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to “off”, then remove plug from wall outlet.
  27. Use extreme caution when removing tray or disposing of hot grease.
  28. DO NOT clean with metal scouring pads. Pieces can break off the pad and touch electrical parts, creating a risk of electric shock.

HOW TO USE

CONTROL PANEL

Power button
Plug in the unit, the power indicator turns on, displays “OFF”. Press power button to enter into standby mode, press power button again to turn off.

Start / Stop button
Press it to start or pause the cooking process at any time.

Note:
When take out the main unit during cooking process to check or add food ingredients, the unit will stop cooking automatically. Put the main unit at cooking pot in place again, lay down the handle, press Start/Stop button to go on the cooking process.

  1. Time / Temperature button
    Allow you to override preset times or temperatures. Time or temperature can be adjusted by pressing this button entering into adjusting mode, the Time or Temperature indicator will turn on, then press “-” or “+” button to adjust the time or temperature.

  5. “-” Decrease button
    Decrease the time or temperature, long press for fast decrease.

  6. “+”Increase button
    Increase the time or temperature, long press for fast increase.

  7. Preset functions
    Press it to select the preset functions: Air fryer, Air grill, Bake, Broil, Roast, and Manual.

  8. Preheat indicator
    The machine has a preheat function, when the cooking function start, the Preheat indicator will turn on, after the unit approach the preheat temperature, Preheat indicator will turn off and unit start beeping, and display flashing, it is to remind placing food, then you can add food ingredients into the cooking pot (it depends on different recipes)
    Note:
    After food is placed well and evenly, cover back main unit and lay down handle, press Start/Stop button to start cooking and timer countdown.

  9. Preset functions indicators
    The related indicator will turn on when the function is selected.

BEFORE FIRST USE

  1. Remove and discard any packaging material, promotional labels, and tape from the unit.

  2. Remove all accessories from the package and read this manual carefully. Please pay particular attention to operational instructions, warnings, and important safeguards to avoid any injury or property damage.

  3. Take out the main unit from the cooking pot. Wash the air fry basket, cooking pot, and unit holder in warm, soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly. NEVER clean the main unit in the water or dishwasher.Geek-Chef-GFG06-Air-Fryer-Grill-FIG-4
    Note: The main unit is separated from the cooking pot, the pot is also used as a cooking base.

  4. Insert the detachable power cord into the main unit. The power cord is detachable from main unit, it can be removed and stored separately.Geek-Chef-GFG06-Air-Fryer-Grill-FIG-5

  5. Place the main unit onto the cooking pot. Plug in the power cord.

  6. For your convenience to lift and move the main unit, a handle is designed on top of unit.

  7. For safety, a micro-switch is built inside handle, the micro-switch would not be activated if the handle is lifted or leave from its desired position, and machine does not work. How to use a cooking pot

The cooking pot is also a main unit base, put food ingredients into the cooking pot, then place the main unit onto the cooking pot, lay down the handle, then start to cook. The bottom of the cooking pot could be used as frying pan.

Caution: Do not touch the hot metal surface of the main unit and cooking pot during cooking or after cooking directly, its hot surface might cause scald. Use the handles to carry the unit.

How to use the air fry basket

  • Air fry basket is used for air fry function, put food ingredients into air fry basket, put the basket into the cooking pot, then place main unit onto the cooking pot, lay down handle, then start to cook.

Caution: Do not touch the hot air fry basket and cooking pot during cooking or after cooking directly, its hot surface might cause scald. Use oven gloves to take out the air fry basket

How to use the unit holder
For convenience on using this air fryer grill, a main unit holder is designed. If you want to take a look on cooking performance or add some ingredients during cooking, take the main unit from cooking pot, then place it on this holder.   • Note: Always put the hot main unit onto the unit holder when take it off from the cooking pot, it can help the main unit cool down and protect your countertop surface.

  • Caution: Do not touch the hot metal surface of the main unit and cooking pot during cooking or after cooking directly, its hot surface might cause scald.

CLEANING THE STEAM WAND

  1. Unplug the unit from the outlet and allow it to completely cool before cleaning.
  2. Do not use abrasive cleaners, as they will damage the finish. Simply wipe the exterior with a clean, damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Do not use excessive pressure when cleaning the area of the control panel as it could cause the text to be removed over time.
  3. To clean the interior walls use a damp soapy cloth or sponge. Never use harsh abrasives or corrosive products including oven cleaner sprays. These could damage the grill surface. Never use steel wool pads on the Air Fryer Grill or accessories.
  4. Always clean the Removable parts after each use. Excess food particles could cause smoking and will be hard to remove.
  5. Only the cooking pot is dishwasher safe. DO NOT immerse the main unit in water.

TROUBLESHOOTING

The unit will not turn on.

| Make sure the detachable power cord insert to the main unit in place.


Make sure the unit is plugged in.

There is a micro-switch built into the handle, ensure handle must be placed to desired place to activate the switch.
The main unit is a removable connecting with cooking pot.| To sake convenience for customer using, a unit holder is designed, always ensure the main unit is place on holder when remove from cooking pot.
Foods are not completely cooked.| ****

Increase cooking temperature or time.



Foods are overcooked or burned.

Decrease cooking temperature or time.

Make sure food items are not too large and are not touching the heating elements



Foods are cooked unevenly.

Preheat the unit.

Make sure food items are not too closely packed into cooking pot.



White smoke is coming out of the air fryer grill.

| The unit may produce some white smoke when you use it for the first time. This is normal.
Excess oil or fatty foods may produce white smoke. Make sure the inside of the grill is cleaned properly and not greasy.
